Weekend Trip to Historic Riverside Farm

We camped at Site 2 for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect. On one side of the campsite is a hill of wildflowers with a bench swing at the top! On the other is the Wallkill River, which offered a cool place for the kids to splash and explore and a calming sound to fall asleep to. The site was clean & easy to access. We will definitely be back!

3 nights at Issac’s Endless Acres

My stay at Isaac's property was wonderful! He was very communicative. Gave recommendations on where to set up camp, gave detailed instructions and checked in. He offered us water from his well. I brought my dogs and it was wonderful to just let them run wild and not have to worry about any cars or any other groups of people. Will definitely be back again!

3 nights at SoHi Campground

Had a great time RV camping. Hookup was good and the hosts make sure you’re all situated. They helped us back in and made sure we were able to hook up to everything. There’s good space between you and your neighbors. Showers and toilets were very clean and the upkeep was good. The staff is good about making sure the bathrooms stay clean. People play music and enjoy themselves but it’s still nice and quiet in the evening. Met other campers and most people were friendly. Would refer others to camp there and I would return.

3 nights at Historic Riverside Farm

We loved staying at Riverside Farm the site was very private and very large. The river access was great, just a short walk on a wooded path led to a beautiful spot were we fished sat in tubes and just hung out in the water. The only thing I could say was a little inconvenient was the entrance to the site was a little tight for trailers to navigate around the dumpster through the opening to the path down to the site. But even with that we are definitely coming back.

Amazing experience. My girlfriend and I are camping outside our country for the first time. It was great to be in contact with farm animals again, we were missing this activity so much. Amazing place because you can go there for quiet seclusion, but there is also a brewery (went we dropped by there was a cover band playing the dead) and an amazing grocery store nearby. I would go back again just for the food — all of the most delicious fruits and vegetables and meats and sausages, plus pies and donuts and fudge. Just an awesome place near the gunks!

Lovely hosts that made this special place even more magical! The critters were so friendly and clearly well taken care of with lots of love and attention. Got to meet all sorts of baby animals and Paul & Marilyn shared a map with all of the best activities nearby. Great weekend, would highly recommend.

What a great campsite, so many places to choose from, beautiful lake view and the animalssss! So sweet and waking up to them in the mornings was such a delight. I went with a handful of friends and we all had such a great experience.

Kathleen was a fantastic host and made the experience way better. She greeted my dad and I on site, made sure we had everything we need and gave us a run down of the land on where we could hike and what we could do. The site (Site 3) itself was fantastic, perfect spacing between sites, and was well taken care of. I personally have a tent in the back of my truck, there was plenty of room for me to park it and be right on site. Firewood price was extremely reasonable and the site had a dedicated pit and grill grate for enjoying and cooking. I would absolutely camp here again, it felt safe, welcoming, and all together a wonderful nature getaway.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Historic Riverside Farm Campsite 1 and I cannot rave enough about my experience! Nestled in a picturesque setting, this campsite offers breathtaking views of a sprawling farm, making it a perfect escape into nature. The rolling fields and vibrant greenery provide a stunning backdrop, especially during sunrise and sunset. One of the highlights of my stay was the easy access to the Walk Kill River. The soothing sound of the flowing water and the opportunity to explore the riverside was simply delightful. Whether I was fishing, or just lounging by the riverbank, it was a serene experience that I’ll cherish. The facilities were well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway amidst beautiful scenery. I can’t wait to return!

3 nights at Historic Riverside Farm

Our family had a fantastic time camping on the farm. Site 2 was ideal for letting our toddlers run freely through the chamomile fields all the way to the swings. The shade from the tree provided a lovely respite from the sun. Access to the river was just a short 15-step path away. While it’s not safe to leave little ones unattended by the river, there’s a nearby path leading to a shallow riverbank that’s perfect for toddlers to splash around safely. The campsites are spaced far enough to see, but not hear your neighbors . We’re glad we brought two large water containers, which were perfect for drinking and washing. The water from the pump tasted fresh and clean. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

Issac’s Endless Acres

The River's Edge

The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. Camp COVID Site 19

Named during the pandemic, "Camp COVID Site 19" was born out of our desire to camp, as we weren't able to go camping anywhere! This camp is the back half of our property, located in the village of Tannersville. Camp is divided from our personal yard by a fence. The camp is also completely fenced in once the driveway gates are closed, allowing your pets to safely be off leash if you wish! A long stone driveway leads to camp, with a flat spot to park your skoolie, motorhome, or vehicle. There is a creek running along the entire back side of our property, outside of the fenced in area, which you can access by walking a few feet though the gates under the Camp COVID sign. We have a new bon fire pit in the center of camp, and fires are allowed as long as there is no burn ban in effect. Firewood is on site, and can be added on for $10 per night. We have 2 water hook ups and one 15 amp electric hook up on site, we just ask that you do not run an A/C unit as it will trip our main breaker. There is a dump station at North South Lake State Park and Campground only minutes away in Haines Falls. Instructions and rules are posted in the bath house which has an on demand hot water shower and a composting toilet. There is a garbage can for your convienece which is located in the shed which must be kept closed to avoid black bears visiting! There is a covered dried in area to the left of the shed. We have a half barrel charcoal grill with a flat top griddle as well as several grill grates. One of the grill grates also fits over the fire pit if you prefer fire cooking! There is an RV on site that will not be occupied during your stay, please do not enter, thank you! Come and stay and say hi!

Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather. Large or multiple tents no problem, put your tents in the wooded area where there is room for multiple tents. There is a fire pit area, picnic table, 4 outdoor chairs and corn hole that all are included with the site. A seasonal stream runs along the campsite giving you a nice bubbling brook sound.
