It all started when grandfather Charles B Wright first establish this farm in 1904. He purchased it for its natural springs. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private.
As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping.
Please be aware that during the months of September and October there may be a Pick-Your-Own customer or two walking around picking apples around the campsite area between the hours of 10:00-6:00. You are also welcome to come down to the farm market and purchase bags to pick your own apples in season.

Our slice of paradise consists of 225 acres of forested land nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany. We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. Visit their website for list of proper gear and rules. We do rent some of the equipment needed.

Amazing location with panoramic views of the Vermont Green Mountain range, this property adjoins a public 9 hole golf course. Located on over 260 private and secluded acres, property also has a 2 acre pond for swimming, paddling or just relaxing.
There are several miles of maintained hiking trails meandering throughout the forest, ranging from an easy walk, to hilly and somewhat challenging. Many varieties of tent locations or places to park an RV, pop up, or car. This is considered a "Primitive camp site". There is no shower, toilet or electric available at this time, but well water can be had from our residence, via a hose spigot on the side of our home. This is our 3rd year of hosting, and due to the overwhelming popularity of having an abundance of privacy, we will continue to be only hosting one party at a time. Which means you'll get the privilege of not having to share your surroundings with anyone else! Your own private camp ground! We are hoping this all works out and intend to continuously improve amenities, activities and overall experience. We are hoping to provide an exceptional value and experience that will bring back repeat campers, that we can trust and build a rapport. We are looking forward to meeting you!

We had an absolute blast during our stay! The spot was secluded enough but just a short distance from our car and the animals. Our toddler couldn’t have had more fun saying hello to each of the animals every morning, which was such a fun addition to a typical camping trip. Nick was a gem, so helpful and kind and let us do our thing. We will definitely be back :)

Weekend Trip to Upper Shire Campsites Hudson Valley
My friends and I had a wonderful time staying in the Bell Tent! We fit 3 people easily in the tent itself. The land is absolutely beautiful and well maintained with nice paths to walk around on. It was clear Joanna had put a lot of thought into what we might need and included a charging device, lantern, fans, and a sleeping bag in the tent. The showers were the cleanest camping showers I’ve ever seen in my life. Joanna was very easy to communicate with and when the string lights weren’t working our first night, she came out immediately to fix them. She also gave us great recommendations for what to do in the area. If you go by the pond you can see the other sites on the property but it felt secluded and we never saw any of the other people staying at the other sites (and barely heard them or the road).

Dwayne's property was downright picturesque with the hospitality to match. We camped at "Happy Place" which was right across from the swimming hole (backed by a field of wildflowers) and next to the outhouse and we we're lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. Dwayne had dry firewood ready for us at camp which was a huge help not having to worry about being able to start a fire during our rainy stay. We used this hipcamp as a base camp for winery tours and Watkins Glen hiking and it was perfect to come back to camp away to some privacy away from the crowds. Will definitely be staying again next time we are in the area

I loved tent camping at Paul and Marilyn’s farm, the were so friendly and so were the animals! if you love animals this is a must visit! Paul and Marilyn were even as kind to lend us an extra tent they had when we told them we were missing part of ours.

Bramble Hill was easy to find, very spacious, with gorgeous views of the rolling countryside- and the stars were incredible!!! i would absolutely come back :) make sure to get firewood ahead of time!

What a wonderful experience! I cannot wait to camp at wright farms again. I staid on Stonehenge location. We were surrounded by beautiful apple orchard and wild flower fields. The camping sites were very clean and cared for. The Market had everything you can need, all farm fresh (Peach jam was ridiculously good!). Loved the brewery and live music! The Wright family are all wonderful people! They have an amazing thing going at the farm. I visited with my brother and cousins. Definitely planning on being my wife and son to camp.
Portapotties were very clean.
Peaceful safe camping
Literally have been telling everyone about how amazing the experience was.

Incredible weekend at Wrights Farm. The hilltop campsite was beautiful in views and vibes, and a perfect distance from trails to hike, lakes to swim in, and vineyards to roam. Impressive farm store with so many fresh veggies and VAPs, and we enjoyed an evening at the farm brewery for local music. Thank you!

Had a great time. Cheerio the goat cuddled with me for a bit. The grounds were picturesque and the warm shower was lovely. Furthermore my campsite mates were friendly and Paul and Marilyn were helpful and easy to find if you needed anything.

We had a great time, we stayed in a beautiful spot and we felt we had plenty of privacy. There wasn’t a shower (the listing said there wouldn’t be a shower so that’s fine) but there was an outdoor spigot/showerhead that we could use to wash up so that was really good. Overall everything was good, the only tiny thing we weren’t super jazzed about was the farm dog barked a lot and throughout the night and woke us up several times. The host was wonderful and if you can tolerate barking dogs, then this is a 5 star location! Nick was a wonderful host!

My dog and I enjoyed camping at the Bare Ridge site, along the creek. Our experience was top notch. We enjoyed our daily walks around the ranch, fires by the water and the outhouses are kept very well. Dwayne takes really good care of his guests. I hope to visit again!
