We have an outdoor spicket that uses well water. We have a 30 amp connection (120v) available at our rv spot. You will need to have at least a 40 foot connection to connect. We only have one spot available for an camper/RV hook up. First come, first serve. After that, only spaces to hitch a tent, have a pop up camper, etc. If you need to use our hook up, you will be about 30 feet in front of our 5th wheel. We have a storage building with washer and dryer. It costs $3 per load and all free and clear is available. In the near future, we will have an outdoor hot/cold shower and outhouse, but won't be till early 2021. So, for campers, we only have a food grade spicket and bucket with toilet seat to use right now.Many springs are within a half hour away. Lots of nature, trails, rivers within a half hour too!Ocala, horse country, is less than an hour away. Jacksonville, Florida is a little over an hour away.Many beautiful beaches are 1.5 hours away. Fernandina Beach, St Augustine Beach, Jacksonville beach, Flagler beach.. and moreWe have two blow up mattresses available For $5 each. .

You’re in luck because we are just a 2 min drive (or 9 min walk) to the trailhead of Big Oak Trail (16-mile loop that connects to the Florida National Scenic Trail) and a boat launch to the Suwannee River. Parking is available at the boat launch and trailhead. The campsite sits on a 0.25 acre wooded lot surround by vacant wooded lots of similar size in every direction, so there is lots of privacy! Recent hurricanes felled many trees, but the roadways are clear. The area is entirely dirt roads, but there are street signs for navigation. Limited parking is available in front of the property adjacent to the dirt road. This is a primitive campsite in the woods! There is no running water, bathrooms, or electricity. You’ll need to bring everything you need and take everything you brought. A winding footpath leads you from the road to the campsite. There is a 15ft x 15ft clearing for a tent, a fire pit with table and chairs, and a dog hammock. Pets are welcome but there is no fence so they will need to be on a leash. Things to do nearby: Swimming: Madison Blue Spring has been consistently rated the best swimming hole in America. Because this is such a popular state park it reaches capacity shortly after opening, so it pays to stay close and arrive early. Paddling and Fishing: We are a 2 min drive to a boat launch to the Suwannee River. A few miles downriver you will connect with the Whithlacoochie River. Parking is available at the boat launch. Stargazing: On clear nights you will enjoy an unbelievable blanket of stars so pack the telescope! *You may hear distant gunshots from nearby hunting preserves

Glenn Farm

The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Suwannee River Glamping

In 1990 the State of Florida banned logging within 1,000 feet of the Suwannee River so Southeast Timberlands sold off it's holdings and we were lucky enough to purchase 6 acres and 444 feet of riverfront. A designated "Pristine Scenic Waterway" with very steep banks, the Suwannee is one of the few"wild" rivers left in the United States and can rise over 30 feet to flood stage almost overnight; yet due to its unique topography we can access it no matter how high or low the water. The Forest Service has bought up the surrounding lots, creating a 10 mile Conservation corridor supporting the National Scenic Florida Trail, it's clearly marked footpaths and natural attractions. To that end, we have left the old growth upland forest the way we found it. The campsite is a natural feature as is the Zen deck and canoe launch, a swale draining the ridge. The campsite is level, the lane to the river slopes gently dropping in elevation 20 feet over 1,000 in making it easy for able bodied guests to navigate their way to the white sugar sand beach. We want to share our retreat with those who are looking for a real wilderness experience in an exclusive private setting. A Waiver of Liability is required by all guests as the Wilderness is an inherently dangerous place. We only offer one accommodation per weekend with a maximum of 8 people so our guests can have the seclusion they desire and be free to enjoy the natural wonder of the woodland experience in any manner they choose.

The Bird Ranch

Parking is only available at the bottom of the driveway for tent campers. All tent sites are less than a 5 minute stroll up the trails. There is plenty of firewood available after 3 hurricanes in a year's time. The Bird Ranch is 4 acres of peaceful nature. We have 3 pioneer sites (2 with fire pits), and one RV hook-up (power and water) to choose from. We never really know what wildlife is wondering around or when they might pop up. Rest assure though; there are always birds singing, crickets chirping, frogs croaking, owls hooting, and we can even hear the neighboring pigs, chickens, cows, goats and dogs from time to time. I will take all that over city noise any day of the week! The Gofer Turtles are protected wildlife here, but please do not disturb any of the animals or their homes. We have had kids destroy a turtle's home before, so please be mindful. The property has trails, an open field for games, and plenty of day outings to do. There are 2 natural springs (Royal and Little River) off the Suwannee River that are each a 10-minute drive. Branford Springs and Troy Springs are within 20 minutes. You can float down the Ichetucknee River on an innertube (seasonal), catch a local rodeo just down Hwy 129 or take a 3 hour round trip bike ride on the Suwannee River Greenway. The Mystic Jungle Educational Facility is a quick 15 minutes up Hwy 129 where you can learn about their wild animals on a guided tour, but they are only open on Saturdays. Cedar Key is a quiet little town 1.5 hours away with cute shops and restaurants for a nice day trip ***(also very messed up from hurricanes this year, so no promises)***. They roll up the streets after sunset; but what a beautiful sunset! There are also a few horseback riding ranches within 20 minutes from the property and if you're really adventurous and want to ride a camel; Lonesome Chicken Camel Ranch is less than an hour away. Please be courteous of your fellow campers and my neighbors by adhering to a 10 pm noise maintenance.
