We offer a parking spot at night to have a quick safe place to stay. We do not allow the camper to stay multiple continuous days without leaving as you must leave during the day time, but are welcome to return at night.
---We sometimes have Buses leaving or returning to our facility late at night, so just know you might hear a large bus pulling in late at night.
---PLEASE DO NOT block our Iron Gate with the H on it, or stick out into the entrance of the facility. If you stick out too far, you need to park North to South , which is parallel to the wood fence with the customer parking signs on it. You can block the handicap signs also if needed. We are right next door to the Pineries Open Space which is a 9 mile trail that you can hike, bike, or horse ride on. It also connects (by crossing a road) to Section 16 which is another 4 mile trail. You can bring your own horses and for a $50 fee we will set up corral panels for your horses to stay. We have farm animals that will be wondering about the land at times. We have water up at our home that you can use to fill up your campers with water or any water containers you need to fill. A camp bucket toilet will be available for campers use. At certain times we offer farm experiences at additional charges. I have no clue how we didn’t know about this place sooner! I don’t think I have been so happy with an RV spot for a while. Not only the sites are great , but if you have a horse , you can bring it too ? Wow ! On top of that , there is shooting range on the property, tower where you can look at the stars , you can stay in a cabin , tiny home , RV or a tent . Want to try riding a horse ? They offer lessons , and if that isn’t your gem , you can rent an ATV or simply go for a round of pool in rec center. Did I mention hot tub and sauna ? Yeah , they have that too!

Jaimie is a great host! She communicated quickly and clearly, was flexible when a storm blew in, and was great to talk to about the area.
For us, the location was great. Easy to find, plenty of room with level sites, a wind break, two pine trees perfect for a hammock, quiet with great bird songs, and 'very' easy to get to the paint mines. As a photographer I went in the morning and evening catching great colors.
We were not bothered by the wind turbines. On the contrary it was quite amazing to see the red lights blinking out to the eastern horizon. There was some sound, but it blended into the background.
It was nice talking with Jaimie who worked on the turbines along with her husband. Learned about transporting those long propellors by truck!
This was a perfect getaway for us. Three days, although we could have stayed longer. However, we will definitely return. Not only for the paint mines, but also for a taste of life on the prairie.
This was five stars all around!

What an amazing experience this was, staying at Erin's hostel! I'd never been to a hostel before but can say with confidence I'll definitely come back through the next time I'm in Colorado Springs. The atmosphere was welcoming, supportive, and I felt extremely safe. It felt a bit like a grown-up summer camp--there were activities every day, nightly dinners (for a super reasonable fee), and it was the perfect place to set up with my shuttle bus for a couple of days as I passed through. I would highly recommend it!

Mary Anne's muffins are out of this world delicious and the size of my head!
