Weekend Trip to Cozy Cottage in the redwoods

Amazing place! My sons of 9, 6 and 5 years old and I had a truly great time with animals and by the firepit. Kim and her daughter are fantastic hosts that don't hesitate to spend some time with their guests to show the farm, but at the same time not intrusive at all. We will certainly come again!

This cozy cabin was fantastic in so many ways and I especially loved being surrounded by incredible trees and having a deck all to myself! It truly is across the street from Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, which is glorious. The host was super kind and welcoming and provided excellent recommendations. I hope to go back soon!

A wonderful way to spend the weekend with our family. Very comfortable accommodations.

1 night at Audrey Edna Cabin at Alpine Ranch

Do it! Book any of the two cabins for a night! You will come back rested and ready for a new week! It’s amazing to feed all the animals and feel so close to nature. If you have kiddos- they will love it even more! There are jungle gyms and trampolines and many options of bikes to play with! Kim is a fantastic host and she help you if you need anything. If you opt in for the warm breakfast- you will not be disappointed! The eggs and the french toast were delicious! Book a night there! Your mind and body will thank you! We will be back!

We loved our night at Audrey Edna, we took our 3 month old on her first mini backpacking trip and we had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend this as a good beginner backpacking experience, the cabin had everything we could need and more. We saw lots of wildlife, including a bobcat!

1 night at Windsor Family Farm

Amazing - love this spot!! It was very well equipped and clean + the location and views are excellent! The hike to the cabin (with a wagon) was a little harder than we expected (mostly uphill with a few steep sections), but the way back to the parking lot was a breeze.

Kim’s Land is the perfect escape serene, clean, and welcoming. The farm animals were all so nice and friendly, adding a charming touch to the stay. Kim is a lovely host who makes you feel right at home. The natural surroundings are stunning, making it a great spot for relaxing in nature. Would definitely come back!

2 nights at Cozy Cottage in the redwoods

What an awesome experience! We spent the night with our two animal-loving girls, aged 5 and 9, and they had the VERY BEST TIME EVER. They enjoyed feeding the sheep and the goats, sitting with the bunnies, and meeting the chickens, tortoise, and farm cats. They played all over the kid-friendly amenities (play structure, trampoline, and kid wheels). The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot breakfast was sooo filling and delicious. Kim was an amazing host -- she answered so many of our questions and was super patient, accommodating the kids' many requests! The only caveat is that roosters wake up very early! But overall, I am tremendously grateful for our stay and hope we get the chance to return soon!

We had a great stay at Room with a View of a Ewe! The room was perfect for our needs. Bed was comfy and there were ear plugs available if animal noises were too loud (we didn’t need them). We loved the s’mores kit Kim provided. Our 4 year old had so much fun feeding animals and playing with all the toys! Kim’s breakfast was also delicious and a great way to start the day! We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area. Thanks for a great weekend Kim!!!

The cabin is in such a beautiful spot! It was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed watching wildlife in the morning and relaxing on the front deck at night. The kitchen has everything you need. The heater worked great and we were very cozy. Can’t wait to go back!

1 night at Delta Respite

I loved staying at the cabin. It’s so close to town, yet feels like you are far away in the countryside, with chickens and birds and trees all around, and the water is just a short walk away. Waking up to the sound of birdsongs and rustling leaves, without any noise from cars, people or airplanes, felt like a dream come true. It was also such a pleasure to meet the lovely hosts—and of course, sweet and friendly dog Willie! ❤️❤️❤️

This gorgeous cabin is the perfect solution to the workaday existence so many of us have. The hike in is manageable, and once you arrive you are met with a beautifully designed cabin with complete kitchen, two bathrooms and ample sleeping areas. It was designed without showers to encourage short-term visits. sweeping views and abundant wildlife including a residential flock of wild turkeys.

A wonderful oasis of calm! The cabin had everything one would need for quality time with family and friends. Stocked kitchen tools, games, and hiking trails out the door. We will be back!

We loved our 2nd stay here! My daughter and I had a wonderful time getting to know the farm animals and enjoying a fabulous breakfast. Kim is a lovely host and we truly enjoyed our mini break from our usual routine.

Egret's Nest is a peaceful, beautiful cabin. Laurel, the host was gracious and kind, and always responded to my messages. I appreciated this lovely, comfortable place to stay. I was at Spirit Rock for a meditation program and I recommend Egret's Nest for a single person or couple looking for an place to stay that's near Sp. Rock and affordable.
