Located on the water and close to the public launch ramp, it is perfect for early morning fishing without the drive. The ranch has produced hops, prunes, pears, wine grapes, sheep, and cattle at different periods. Currently, we grow pears, grapes, strawberries, and Christmas trees.

Our property boasts year round creeks, waterfalls, swimming holes, Madrones, Oaks, Douglas firs and manzanitas. Wild horses roam the land as well as the occasional mountain lion and black bear. On the human end we have an ancient walnut grove as well as many fruit trees two small ponds all in total privacy at the very end of the road. We also have a Sauna and outdoor bathtub and shower available for use. We are out a 9 mile dirt road and a 4X4 or all wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. Clear Lake Campground is a small, vintage RV and tent campground, established in the 1950s. Camp right on Cache Creek, the only outlet of Clear Lake. The campground offers fishing, kayaking, and boating right from Camp. A car or boat is required to get to Clear Lake. For lake fishing, Redbud Park, Highlands Park and Austin Park are all within a ten minute drive from Camp. Austin Park also has a playground and swimming beach.
The park offers rustic charm with great fishing and bird watching right from your campsite. We have a boat launch for your kayak, canoe or motor boat and we have canoe and kayak rentals. Cool off in the small pool. Challenge your family to a ping pong tournament or corn toss game.

Please inform during booking there will be kids in your party, possibly we can reserve a site closer to amenities.

All campers get access to our hand built cob kitchen and the epic dining hall deck. There is a communal gas fire pit and BBQ. It’s a very sunny property so please bring a canopy for shade if you want it over your campsite, remember to bring stakes, it can be windy here.
*Water is gold here so make every drop count, arrive with water conservation in mind. And please bring your own drinking water=)
*We are off-grid with no amenities from the city so please be mindful of how much trash you’ll leave behind. If drinking alcoholic beverages we ask that campers take their empties. Ask for a bag if you need it.
*We ask campers to arrive between 1pm at 9pm. If possible a general ETA helps as well.

If you're checking the temperatures in Ukiah, please know that due to our elevation of 2,400' we're always 6 to 10 degrees cooler than the valley. It's rarely too hot up here to enjoy the always gorgeous great outdoors!
Stay in one of our private, beautifully furnished platform tents and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views from your own front porch while you breath in the fragrant lavender scented air and settle into the quiet surroundings.
If you're planning on bringing a dog, we're happy to welcome them as well and with 15 fenced acres, it's a slice of Dog Heaven. Just look at the "Extras" section and click on it to add your furry family member to your reservation.
Please note Ranger is the farm cat and if your pup isn't cat friendly, please leave them on leash until everyone's acquainted.
We're fortunate to have Orr Hot Springs just down the road (you'll need a reservation), as well as a gorgeous protected redwood forest at Montgomery Woods where you can take an unforgettable hike in some of the most majestic redwoods on the west coast. The newly renovated 2 mile trail is a fun and easy hike for everyone.
At night you'll see stars like you've never seen them before. Enjoy them from your tent or with the other guests at the communal gas fire pit near the barn.
We're a working lavender farm; harvesting for culinary use and dried bundles as well as making our own line of essential oils which you can experience by booking one or both of the "Extras" offerings. We're very proud of our oils and know you'll be surprised by how immediately they regulate your nervous system and calm your mind.
You're welcome to participate in whatever we're doing on the farm during your stay, just let us know, we'd love the help! 💜
Please plan on checking-in before 7:30pm, we work hard and really need our sleep. : )
Note: We strongly suggest that if you're visiting with children, you book Site 1. It's on flat ground where as Site 2 is on a hill.

It was such a great stay, we did one night in the coop and wish we could have stayed longer! The outdoor kitchen and wood stove was so nice. It rained while we were there but just listening to the rain while making food and enjoying a fire was amazing. The coop is very cozy with its own wood stove as well. Chris met us on arrival showed us the lay of the land. The sauna was such a nice touch as well! Will def be back!

This was an amazing spot for a quiet couple of days! The creek is incredible and we saw so many beautiful birds and otters.
My husband got to fish all day and I got to relax and take a nice warm shower in their great bathroom facilities. I could not recommend this spot enough to anyone just looking to relax and unwind.

This place is an off the grid gem. My family and I achieved maximum levels of Hygge while staying in Eli’s dome. I dropped a skillet right on top of the wood burning stove and made pancakes while my girls cozied up in the king sized bed. Then the doggy and the chickens came right up to our door to say hello. Eli is a very warm and accommodating host. Viewing the stars right out of the dome made the whole trip worth it. Great spot for a digital detox or a home base to visit Orr or Vichy hot springs.

What a magical spot!
The drive goes pretty deep and was slow going just out of safety and making sure we didn't miss a turn. But ended up pretty easy to get to there!
Chris showed us around when we arrived and got us situated.
We loved the sauna and shower/tub area built into a very zen structure. Plus a duck pond where you can camp around it and enjoy.
We opted for the first more private spot since we had our van and was self sufficient.
There are 2 rustic buildings on the property with beds. One with a flush toilet. Which also had an outdoor hangout area with a full kitchen to use. The other to have been a former chicken coop turned guest room. There is also an outhouse with a view on the property.
The settings there is absolutely beautiful! Peaceful and serene.

Spirit Chicken was an amazing place to camp. Its worth the half hour drive down the dirt road to get to a place that offers peace, views, relaxation, beautiful hikes, creeks and waterfalls to play in. The bathhouse is beautiful amd well designed. Chris was friendly and hospitable and we enjoyed talking to him about the land and the history of the area.
