This is an utterly unique, enchanting spot. There’s simply a utility pole with power, water, a seating area, and then a gorgeous giant pool and an even more gorgeous view. So special.
We absolutely loved our time here! There are more chairs, pool toys and shade sails than the pictures show. Very perfectly set up. Definitely bring any additional shade you have.
Melissa is a great host- very responsive and positive. I was hesitant to come during a heatwave and am glad she encouraged us. It was divine. We’ll be back.

We got stuck in traffic…hours of it…and Melissa cheered us on with the promise of a sweet night swim location. This place does not disappoint. Excellent directions made for an easy arrival after dark. We had time to recuperate and recharge with a slow morning and an adjusted time for a late checkout. Next time we’ll stay a couple of days. Love the landscaping:)

Quite simply, paradise. There could not be a more perfect or beautiful place.
A unique experience and opportunity to be above the valley in a mountain setting. Unbelievable soothing salt pool. The sunrises are beyond moving! There is electricity, we did not use the sun kept our solar in check. Tap water and all kinds of comforterable seating. Area is a danger risk for fires, no camp fires but beautiful lighting is available at night. Short track up a narrow road, be sure to follow the clear instructions given and you will land in the perfect spot.
Beautiful hilltop spot with a giant salt water swimming pool. Only a few neighbors nearby and big flat area for camping. Fresh water and groovy lights at night. Short drive into town for needed supplies. Not much hiking around though.
Recommend. Great host. Pics don’t do it justice.
If you are passing by, treat yourself and enjoy this hidden gem! Melissa is very responsive and accommodating!
The road up to the property is a bit narrow at points but totally doable in our 30ft class A
Absolutely wonderful, we love this place! The views are amazing, the natural landscape is beautiful. Peaceful and secluded, it’s the perfect place to relax and recharge. The saltwater pool is so luxurious. We’ll be back next summer for sure!

Hands down one of the best places we have stayed so far. Absolutely breathtaking views, the pool was more than what one could dream of in the heat, and the most peaceful cricket noises at night along with such beautiful stargazing. It was such an amazing place that we booked our next stay with them the first night we were there! 10/10 would reccomend!🌠🤍

Great spot! We were able to fit our 26’ travel trailer in without an issue. The pool was clean and refreshing and the view was amazing. With our trailer blocking the road we had pretty much complete privacy from the handful of cars that drove down the road during our weekend stay. Neighbors are far enough away that you don’t have to worry about them either and can enjoy being alone. The only improvement possible would be to have a 30 amp available to run the microwave or AC in the trailer (both would reduce the need for an outdoor open flame to cook with) but we found other ways to have food and it cooled off enough at night for us to sleep comfortably with all the windows open (we are from the Sacramento valley and acclimated to the climate though). Not a necessity for a great stay though, just an possible improvement. We will definitely be back!
Photos do not do the view justice! Absolutely breathtaking! The driveway up the hill to the location is narrow and windy, but it does not last very long. We were able to make it in an F-250 with a 10 foot truck camper.
There is a nice shade sail, and it is the only shade from the afternoon sun. So we would recommend bringing something for shade: big hat, umbrella, sunscreen, etc. We cannot wait to come back!
Such a beautiful space and a perfect blank canvas for your weekend get away. The pool and view are absolutely magical. We felt secluded, private and safe during our birthday weekend getaway. During the hot months we’d recommend bringing extra shade (it was HOT) and camping rugs to cover the gravel. We are experienced campers and had brought all the amenities to make our stay extra comfy. We’ll definitely be back!
Our family loved our night at Hillside Holiday! We rolled in on the hottest day (106°!) and the cool pool was just what we needed. We pulled our RV (31') perpendicular to the pool and had the awning out to create a nice shaded area. The site is very private and has great views over the hills and valley. The sunset was beautiful. My only note for dog owners there are burrs. Our poor guy had 100+ everytime he tried to lay down (doodle fur). We'd come again, but leave our dog at home. My husband says a 30amp hook-up would've made it better - possible to run our A/C without the generator. That said, this place has been added to our small hipcamp favorites list.

Amazing views, incredible salt water pool, beautiful flowers, seclusion and an incredibly kind host. We are definitely coming back!!!
What a special place. Very private spot on the hillside with gorgeous views of the Calpella valley. The basics are provided (15 amp electricity, water hose, garbage can), as are several chairs, a table, and lots of floaties. You bring the rest. Then there is the absolute luxury of the salt water pool. The pool; warm, clean, and amazing. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and playing here. Really, what a treat to have a private pool in such a beautiful spot. Host has incredible communication. We will very much be back!

Melissa was a great host and the property was beautiful. The night swim was the best part. My fiancee and i feel recharged after our day by the pool. Definitely suggest a stay this summer..

Just finished my second visit to the Hillside Holiday. The pool was clean and clear, and the views were amazing! Melissa was an amazing host. I am already planning yet another trip here for the end of the summer.
We had a wonderful time! The pool is great, so clean and refreshing. The view is gorgeous. The star gazing was the best we have experienced in California in ages. Melissa was an amazing host!
Great location and convenient to 101. The site is pretty gorgeous between the view and The pool. The first night was clear and the star gazing was amazing. The next afternoon we watched a rare storm roll in. A great quiet private campsite and we can't wait to come back again.

Another wonderful visit to the pool. I’m not a sun worshipper until I spend some time at this site. Not to mention the stars at night! The water and the view is so welcoming and all my stress falls away as soon as I arrive. Thanks Melissa, for sharing this fantastic space.

Beautiful, well maintained pool, nice view across the valley, flat parking for RV. Quite quiet with sporadic traffic on the access road that passes by the entrance. Lovely place. You won't regret staying here.

Grateful that we found such a peaceful oasis during the busy summer season. We look forward to visiting this space again.
Beautiful location, mostly private (no other campers but there is a private road in view with minimal traffic passing by,) 110 power outlet, water hookup, and the pool was AMAZING!
The views of the valley are spectacular, especially during sunrise! Stars were gorgeous, considering not being that far from city/highway.
The host Melissa was lovely and responded quickly when we did lose power briefly. PG&E planned outage that she tried to warn us about, but I unfortunately missed the message.
We made it there and back okay in our 28ft class c, but it did feel tight on the private country road that leads up to the property. Nice and level area to park.
No dump on site but there is a free dump at the Safeway parking lot in Willits, about 20 min away.

This is our favorite place to camp in Northern California - so peaceful and private, beautiful and expansive views. Our solar panels catch the rays all day, very level, pool is pristine clean. Easy to get to off the 101 but it feels very remote when you’re here.

Our favorite hipcamp location so far! It was clean and peaceful. We loved every thing about our stay; from the view to the salt water pool. As soon as we got home we booked our next visit. Who needs a spa visit when “the pool” is available!
