Chris and Taylor's property is gorgeous. We rented out the entire campground for five families and we had plenty of space to spread out and each have our own camping area. We came together for meals in the well stocked outdoor kitchen, to swim in the glorious pond, relax in the sauna, and hike down to swim in the waterfall. We sadly didn't see the wild horses, but hope to next time. The campground has no poison oak, but bring some technu if you are hiking the creek.
There is about 30-40 minutes of dirt road in and out that is rough, but doable. We drove it in our very low electric car and didn't have an issue. However, it was a little stressful thinking we might scrape - we didn't. Most cars will do fine, but if yours is quite low, you might want to rent something higher.
Chris, the owner, is a truly decent human being. He went above and beyond to help us out when we had car issues (unrelated to the dirt road) and we really enjoyed his company. Taylor's restaurant in Ukiah is utterly delicious, stop there on your way in or out of town - Ramen Cubed on State Street.
