Stayed 2 nights 20 minutes from south entrance to Yosemite. Set up on a hill with mountain views and it was very quiet. The wildflowers were beautiful. Chelsea was quick to reply and checked in to see if we needed anything. As a bonus we got to hold their newborn baby lambs!

1 night at Musick Creek Falls

This place was so cool! The waterfall was beautiful and the host was more than helpful and super welcoming and friendly. Really fun place to hangout, we will definitely be back and hoping to bring some friends!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lower falls. The view was amazing and the campsite was immaculate. It is a short drive from Shaver Lake, but secluded enough to have that off-grid feel. Shandie is an excellent host, has a great eye for detail and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back soon and I will be recommending this location to friends and family.

Weekend Trip to Ace's Yosemite Hide Out

I couldn’t recommend staying at Billie’s land more! It is a beautiful property with a lots of privacy and feels very safe. Billie is very inviting and communicative. The shower is lovely, the bathroom is clean and the campsites are very well kept. I hope to go back someday soon!

4 nights at Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp

What a gem this is! We loved our stay in this cozy little cabin. We enjoyed having our coffee & breakfast out on the deck each morning while listening to the birds. Simply magical. Bath house is definitely a little drive down the road. It’s really too long & steep to walk it. Just a heads up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & highly recommend!

Gorgeous scenery surrounding the whole campsite. Cows watching us enjoy our morning coffee and stargazing during nighttime. Truly magical. And the amenities that are there are an added bonus (love a good post hike shower)

Weekend Trip to Yosemite Colfax Spring

The views from site (5) Yosemite falls were gorgeous. And the sunsets amazing. The site is level and perfect for our class B van. There is a bin and picnic table provided and there is a really great shower/toilet block. Towels are even provided if you don’t want to use your own. Communication with the hosts was excellent and we stayed for three nights. Couldn’t have wished for a better base to explore Yosemite from. Highly recommend this Hipcamp.

We had such a great stay at this private campsite! The host was incredibly accommodating—when we needed a tent and cots last minute, they came through for us without hesitation. Communication was quick and helpful; every question we had was answered promptly. The outhouse was clean and super convenient, and the campsite itself had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. On top of all that, the location was absolutely beautiful and totally private—perfect for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

We spent 4 nights at Robb’s campsite over Easter with our two kids (8 and 2), and had such a great time! Robb is a fantastic host—super friendly, helpful, and clearly loves sharing his beautiful slice of nature. The site is peaceful, on private land surrounded by trees and wildlife, and it felt really safe and relaxing for our family. The bathrooms were clean, and all the hookups worked perfectly. It’s also conveniently located—about a 1-hour drive to the north entrance of Yosemite Valley, which made for easy day trips. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind in a quiet, natural setting close to Yosemite!

Weekend Trip to San Pedro Ranch

The riverside campground is so cool! A great secluded spot where you can hear the water all night. My dogs loved it here. It’s a little sandy but my truck had no issues. A picnic table would be been great but the host told me one is on the way! I would 100% recommend for anyone looking for some seclusion next to a flowing river. Bring bug spray. The last mile is dirt road but very well maintained. I’d definitely come back here. The host was super easy to work with. Thank you Exel!

Weekend Trip to Yosemite Westlake Camp

It was very relaxing. Everyone is so friendly there. It’s nice to have access to showers and bathrooms while camping. They gave us the opportunity to stay in one of their RV spots with power. They gave us very good directions on where to go and places to see. If you see a black-and-white dog with no name tag but a collar don’t be alarmed. He is very friendly. His nickname is sticks. He loves to bring people sticks to have them throw it for him. He will play all day long and hang out. My wife and I are already planning our next trip to this campsite.

We are listed on other platforms, so there may be other guests here. Marta also has a she shop if you are interested in refurbished items or alpaca products. We are not a day camp, so if you stay a few nights, we expect you will be out most of the day. You may hear coyotes at night, and see lots of squirrels and wild bunnies. Be careful of squirrel holes. I live in San Diego so my scheduled visits leave a ton of time available others could be using it so I have listed it here for anyone wanting an inexpensive place to stop when passing through or to go and pan the banks of the river to find your own California gold. You are welcome to bring a pan or a sluice box and keep any gold you recover on any of my claims. Dredging is currently restricted in California without a permit so please keep within the laws.
