We loved camping at SoCal Campgrounds. It was very quiet and all the sites seemed very private so it didn't seem like we were right next to the next camper. The bathrooms and showers were clean! They have to be the nicest restrooms we have ever used while camping. Follow the directions that Fall sends you! They are super accurate and will get you to the campsites with ease. We definitely plan on staying there again

Beautiful area for tent camping! There’s a bathroom, water spigot, and tables — everything you need for a comfortable stay!! The views are gorgeous and even though the street is nearby, you forget about it quickly because of how pretty the area is.

What an amazing spot! I loved my stay. It was unique, beautiful and felt far away but was only 45 mins (I’m in Oceanside). The goats were such a highlight!

1 night at New Yurt City

This hipcamp experience was what I call ‘travel magic’. I arrived in the dark and was soon greeted by the sweetest dog ever. The location was exactly what I wanted; complete peace in the middle of the desert. The host greeted me like we were lifelong friends and took me for a tour of his property. In the morning a different but equally sweet dog came to check in on me after I woke up. My only regret is that I could not stay longer to go offroading but will be back again. By all means come out and support these great people.

Weekend Trip to Splitrock Farm and Retreat

We absolutely loved our girl trip to Split Rock Farm & Retreat! It was an unforgettable trip filled with baby goats, an alpaca, 2 pigs and the hosts two working dogs visiting and occasionally hanging out at our campsite. We stayed in the Split Rock Spring campsite which is right across from the camp store. The camp store was well stocked, had 2 outdoor showers with hot water and a bathroom. They even had e-bikes we could rent to tour the entire 101 acres of the property. We only stayed for 2 nights but I would highly recommend 3 nights minimum. I could have stayed longer and immersed myself in the natural beauty of the land, the animals, birds under the sun, moon and stars. Next time I think I’ll stay in one of the glamping spots with my husband. All in all it was a wonderful experience. We will be back! 2 nights at Splitrock Farm and Retreat

Great place! We stayed two nights with two kids. They LOVED to explore and climb the rocks and had to be fed there on occasion… :) The best was when a llama came by to the base on the biggest rock where they sat. The fire pit is awesone and right next to a water spigot. One of the days we stayed it was 100 degrees out for a couple of hours. The civil outdoor showers neraby were a rescue for all. The breeze from the ocean took care of the heatwave in minutes and we had another fantastic evening by the fire on the rocks! Thank you! We’ll be back for sure.

Kyle’s land was unique, to us it was a special gem! Absolutely beautiful sites with lots of furry friends 🥰 we could have campfires which was a huge perk for us so we didn’t have to go out all the time! If you love to stargaze or even love AtVs rides this is the perfect spot . They have a really good deal for renting/tours! They even have outside bathrooms (outhouse style), and showers! Thank you for everything! We can’t wait to come back😊

We loved this spot a lot, great for short stays or fishing trips, I wouldn't recommend for long stays with little ones, it could get really loud because the street next to it plus neighbors across front have noisy dogs, also the porta potty waste really dirty and some visible trash around the property during our stay probably from long weekend previously guests, anyway it was a good trip.

You will see Jack rabbits and cotton tail bunnies, roadrunners, quail, owls, different type of birds, hawks, coyote, lizards, snakes and even some toads. On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights. There are many trails to walk, hike, bike and horse back ride where you can discover large boulders in different shapes and sizes along with hidden caves. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well. At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls! Pets and horses are welcome. We provide Two horse corrals with feed buckets and access to water. There is a outdoor dog kennel. There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt. Not to far there is a Casino, small store and a restaurant and about 30 minutes away from the Temecula wineries. You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV big enough for 6 people if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). and has indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets to plug in a fan or your phone and, there is a microwave to use. We have a cooler for you to use bur you will need to provide your own ice. There are dishes and utensils and a toilet. and water in and outside (You will need to bring your own blankets, sleeping bags and towels). Also provided arepropane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. There is enough room on this property to bring your own camper, RV or tent or ? but it must be self contained. There is no electric, water or waste hook up. If you are just looking for a place to set up your own tent, I will consider the cost to be lower. Please contact me if you may have any questions. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. We challenged ourselves to learn sustainable and organic farming practices, and the emphasis soon changed to how can we share this journey and all that we have learned with more than just our children. For now, this ambition is in the form of HomeMade Jams, Jellies, Teas, Seasonings and Confections that is procured from our own organically grown gardens and trees along with HandMade fiber creations from our small Alpaca herd. I would like to be able to say that we grew everything that goes into our ingredients, but we are not that good at everything yet! So to keep in the spirit of ethical sustainability along with ensuring a high quality and great tasting product, we purchase ingredients from local organic farmers and shelf products that not only have the USDA Organic seal, but are non-GMO, ethically harvested and in some cases certified Kosher. One day we hope to meet you and share our story with you by introducing you to the fruit trees my father grew from seed and let you feel the soft fiber of our eclectic herd of misfit Alpacas while you watch the glorious Southern California sunset touch the hot desert horizon we call home. Our family has owned this property for nearly fifty years. We currently have one site available - “Desert Mountain Scenic Overlook” - at this time. More sites coming soon! Learn more about this site: This campsite is extremely private and serene with beautiful epic views and a wide open feel. The site is located most of the way up a small mountain but at the base of a larger one if you want to hike up to the top for even better views. You can also hike down and around to explore more of the surrounding nature preserve (over 3,000 acres completely engulfing our 20 acre property), which includes a seasonal creek, granite boulders, and miles of hiking trails. You will find wild sage and buckwheat shrubs growing all over the property, as well as vibrant seasonal wildflowers. The campsite is set far back from roads so it is very peaceful and quiet and allows you to feel free to enjoy yourselves without worrying much about noise. The large flat pad is spacious and should be able to accommodate any sized camper/trailer/RV. There is fresh potable mountain spring water and a septic hookup available at the site. There is currently no water hookup for RV’s and there is no restroom facility (we are planning to install a composting or pit toilet soon). Please come fully equipped with a Luggable Loo or something similar. Access to the site is on a maintained dirt road with cutouts for water run off. 4WD is not necessary. Please be prepared though, the road in has some narrow, hilly, curvy stretches. It could appear challenging or intimidating to people with larger rigs. If you have a class A motorhome and are hoping to visit, please message me first and let me know and we can discuss whether the road in will work for you. We are currently in the process of beautifying the area and will post more updated photos soon of the actual site. *Note: Our solar pump went out so the outdoor shower is not currently functional. Also, the site is still a work in progress so there may be some lumber and areas of the site still in the process of being completed.
