This area was once inhabited by local native American Tribes. In the 1840's prospectors arrived in search of gold but none was found in the immediate area. Old Yosemite Base camp was along the route into Yosemite National Park prior to the construction of Highway 41. Horse and Carriage traveled along Old Yosemite Road from Mariposa and the entire golden state. Visitors from the world now pass through Oakhurst to Yosemite National Park along this route. OYBC offers over six acres of pine, oak, and bay trees, sprinkled around large granite features that remind you that Half Dome is not far away! Each unique site is equipped with a stone fire ring with cook top and a picnic table accommodating four person dining. Old Yosemite Base Camp is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset and stargaze next to a campfire after an adventurous day in the southern Yosemite region. Yosemite tent camping without all the crowds and tour buses is what you can expect. Backing up to the Sierra National Forest OYBC is conveniently located near HWY 41 just 14 miles from Yosemite’s south gate entrance. The region also offers a large amount of hiking trails where you can find swim holes, waterfalls giant sequoias, lakes, and rivers. Take 15-minute drive to Bass Lake and enjoy water sports and lake view dining.
OYBC offers five camp sites and all wheel drive is required to get to the top of camp. OYBC sites 1, 2, 3, are drive up sites and 4 & 5 are walk in sites that have a separate parking area. All wheel drive is still needed to get to this lot.

Mill Creek Station Hip Camp parallels Hwy 395, nine miles north of Bishop, half an hour to Mammoth Mountain, an hour from the entrance to Yosemite and two and half hours from Death Valley. Surrounded by world class mountain biking, climbing, hiking, skiing, as well as historic railroad and mining museums. All halfway between Los Angeles and Reno in the eastern Sierra.
We have space for three motor homes or RVs. There are no pull throughs so if you are towing a car you may disconnect it and park the car in our parking lot. You must be self contained with water and power. Generators are OK. There is a restroom but there is no shower. We have a hanging fire pit in the backyard behind our house which you may use.
Upon request we will open it for you. Wi-fi is available at our residence on the front porch or the backyard .We are 420 friendly but request that cigarette smoking be contained to open areas away from those of us who cannot tolerate cigarette smoke. No Pets please.
Our backyard is unique as it was an old stone quarry at one time and now has an outdoor stage for occasional music events which you are invited to attend as well as to explore the rocks. Mill Creek Station was originally the place where the mules were changed out to oxen to go up old Sherwin Grade to the north. Mill Creek Road was the old road going to Mammoth and north to Reno. It was later a gas station and mini-mart. We have a mineral museum and a climbing and mountaineering exhibit dedicated to Warren Harding, a legendary rock climbing pioneer and friend
Recreation is unlimited in this area. Mammoth Mountain ski area is ½ hour away. It is also a world class mountain biking destination. There are many other cycling areas in the vicinity as well as hiking, rock climbing, bouldering, fishing, kayaking and general outdoor exploration. We are at an elevation of 4,500 ft and rarely have snow in the winter. We can provide a long list of climbs, hiking trails, and other adventure sports and scenic exploration. In Bishop the Paiute Casino is 6 miles to the south. Laws Historic Railroad and Mining Museum is 14 miles away. It is open to the public with 11 acres of interesting displays of the old western railroad buildings and artifacts including the huge 20 Mule Team Borax wagons. It is a great place to picnic. We are close to western Nevada’s historic mining towns like Goldfield, Tonopah and Gold Point. Death Valley is 2 ½ hours away. Las Vegas is 5 hours and the eastern entrance to Yosemite is 1 hour to the north by Mono Lake. Enjoy your visit!

We are situated on 4.5 acres of pastures, orchards, rolling hills and lots of shade trees. We also produce and serve mead, wine and cider onsite with both a Tasting Room and large outdoor tasting area available for you to enjoy. Access to bathroom 24/7 but no shower available at this time. We are home to friendly farm animals and a vibrant ecosystem. This is a quiet foothill community allowing you space to relax and enjoy a peaceful evening retreat. Tasting Room is open to the public M-F 12-7pm, Sat 10am-7pm and Sun 10am-5pm. Gates to the property close at 7pm everyday so please make sure you are onsite by 7pm.
Please be respectful of neighbors and keep noise withing your campsite after 10pm.
DOG OWNERS: Please notify us BEFORE YOU BRING OUT YOUR DOG. All dogs must be leashed and kept away from other dogs. We will need time to leash ours as well.
Rooftop tent and car campers welcome and you will have accesses to park at the flatter parking spaces located adjacent to the traditional tent campsite. We are happy to answer any questions prior to booking.

We have over 10 acres of stunning campground conviently nestled only 15-20 minutes from the North entrance to the Sequoias and Kings Canyon! We are located between both, so you have the best access to both attractions here! We have multiple sites to accommodate every type of camping from tent camping to tents-attached-to-cars, to pop-up campers to RVs and trailers with or without power/water hookups. There are wonderful views down into the valley with off-the-chain sunsets and city lights twinkling in the valley distance! Come get away from it all and enjoy the wonderful beauty and quiet serenity of mother nature in the South West Sierras at Sequoia Mountain Farms!!!

Please note we have different site types with different prices and capacities. Choose the type that's best for your group.
We are outside of Bear and Marmot areas, so no Bear cans needed here. However, we are not far away and nature is wild and can be unpredictable sometimes, so please keep food in your car at night as a precaution. We have not had issues and we don't want to invite any!
Hot showers, flushing toilets, deep sinks for washing and WIFI (over 70 mps in many places for you teleworkers) now available for all campers at no extra charge!
ARRIVAL:
THERE ARE 3 GATES HERE:
RIGHT GATE: just to the right of the Giant Sequoia Tree with address sign, goes to the CAMPSITES! Look for ORANGE CONES a few feet off the highway and drive down camp road about 600 feet to the camp.
MIDDLE GATE: RV1 and RV2
LEFT GATE: house, please DO NOT ENTER this gate or the house.
DIRECTIONS:
If you put our address in to navigation apps, sometimes it brings you to our neighbors (fire department) for some reason, even after multiple emails to google...if this happens come south/down hill about 600 feet and look for the ORANGE CONES on the same side of the road. Drive between them and down camp road to your site! (There is a pic of the site map in the posted pic's)
Go to Google Maps (NOT GOOGLE SEARCH). Search for Sequoia Mountain Farms Campground.
Navigator apps sometimes push folks coming from the south up the 245 highway. It is a very windy and slow climb up the hill. It is doable (even for bigger rigs), but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND continuing north on highway 99 towards Fresno and then heading east on highway 180 up the mountain. It's faster, much more scenic and a much smoother drive. This route also goes right by the nearest gas station on your way up!
Heading east on highway 180, out of Fresno, the last gas station is a Valero at 35468 E Kings Canyon Rd. (aka Clingan's Junction).
From Clingan's, head east on the 180 for exactly 13.8 miles to the 245 highway (it comes up quick with only 1 or 2 small signs), make a right, heading south. If you hit the park entrance, you went too far, turn around drive back about 5 min and look for the 245 on your left.
Once on the 245 heading south, go 5.1 miles. On your right you will pass the 'Pinehurst Lodge', which is on google maps, an easy reference point and is 1 minute or less away (great food, bar, pool table and karaoke on weekends in the summer!).
Then a few seconds later the U.S Forest Service "Work Center" is on the right and we are just past that on the same side of the road. First you will see a Giant Sequoia Tree in the front yard (campground road is just to it's right with ORANGE CONES on either side) then an apple ranch with an ole loggers cabin chimney from the late 1800s still standing in the front yard directly off the highway! If you hit the 'leaving sequoia national forest' sign and the community center, you went too far, turn around and drive 1 minute back and look for the apple ranch on your left, pass it and turn left at the ORANGE CONES.

Just know we are operating under the assumption that you are aware of the conditions and are prepared for them. If nature happens message us and we will do our best to assist!

Great stay! It exceeded our expectations and was just a quite 25 min drive to the Yosemite south entrance. We checked in after the office closed and everything was clearly outlined what to do and where to go, making it very easy. WiFi works all over the camp, kitchen clean, and all bathroom/showers clean.

I’m always hesitant to rave about someplace I’ve stayed for fear more campers will come and it will no longer be available to book in the future. However, Meadow View Haven was an absolutely beautiful location with all the amenities needed for me to stay while visiting family in the area. The host(s) were very responsive to any questions I had. I would highly recommend staying here. Just one note: bring extra sewer lines as the sewer port was far away after finding the most level spot.

The campsite was clean and easily accessible to the bathroom, swimming pool, and other amenities. The campkeepers were friendly and maintained the site in good condition. The management was also very friendly.
I simply didn’t like some other campers who were extremely rude, even though it was their fault. Our site was conveniently located near the exit area, which had only one entrance and one exit. As my husband was backing up his car, a rude and racist man attempted to move him out of the way. The man was going in the wrong direction, towards his campsite. My husband was upset because we had come to relax and have fun, but this rude man ruined his enjoyment.
Overall, I would highly recommend Outdoorsy as one of the camping sites.

We were looking for something close to Yosemite and family friendly during our down time and Outsoorsy Yosemite delivered. It’s walkable to the Marina at Bass lake, though not walkable to public beaches at the lake. There were daily activities for kids and adults, including Bingo and Karaoke, the restrooms and pool and clubhouses all very clean. A food truck on site and other little shops and restaurant and a market also within walking distance near the marina. If we come back this way I’m certain we would stay again.

Loved the area and campground! Felt a bit mislead on the beach access tho. No lake access at all from campground. We only had e-bikes. Also, we had to leave a day early and tried to get refunded but Hipcamp has no, or limited ways to do that… still waiting to hear from them. Outdoorsy cancelled it on their end….,

Had a great time and The site was perfect because it wasn't in the middle of the campground. Had a great fire pit and bench and set up with a little bit more room than the other sites. Close to one of the hiking trails. You can walk to the lake but it's a little bit of a walk would recommend driving it if you're taking an ice chest or anything and planning on spending time at the lake. It looks like the owners are doing a bunch of renovations for the cabins and other buildings on the property. There was no loud construction noises or issues that affected our stay.

This was our first time out in an RV with our kids and we had such a great time. I carefully chose Outdoorsy Yosemite for its location and amenities. It did not disappoint! We enjoyed the pool, the playground and the clean restrooms/showers. We got lunch at their cafe and came down for music and dancing. Check out was easy and Leslie was wonderful! We can’t wait for our next visit.

We had such a wonderful stay at Jennifer and John’s Hipcamp, Oak RV Site. They were incredibly friendly, communicative, and so accommodating of our late arrival, which made the whole experience stress-free from the start. You can really tell they care about their guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The property was amazing, and while we didn’t get to fully experience the Remeadies Intoxication Potion this trip, we already know we missed out and will absolutely be trying it next time! That just gives us another reason to come back — and we definitely will be back.
Thank you both again for the hospitality and making our stay such a memorable one. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!

It’s a nice campground, tidy, close to Yosemite. It is near the highway so you’ll hear some traffic during the day which was not great but night was silent. Best spots IMHO are 25-28 as they back up to the stream, which has a nice sound to it.

Great quiet little spot to dig the mountains and maybe some peace and quiet. No water to drink. Serious stream in spring, ok into summer but flows just barely into Fall. Spring stream must be outrageous as the evidence of lots of moving rocks and water down this stream implies intense water but it’s to small to raft or tube.
Great area geologically as lots of exposed granite, in fact right across the stream upstream from camp is an awesome granite dome ready to explore.
Usually no one there midweek, but can be busy weekends inc summer. Good place to set up camp for day outings and a nice camp to come back to at days end.

I enjoyed this campground. Reservations for the sites are non-specific. I'm thankful my family got a double site (#14). It was HUGE. My family and I were in awe of the view the entire drive there. Bring dramamine and roll your windows down if you get motion sickness.
This campground is about 1.5-2 hours from Shaver Lake, about 15 minutes from Edison Lake, 20 minutes from Mono Hot Springs (they have a store with ice), a short walk to the small creek. I'm not sure if you can swim in the creek--I wouldn't--but I saw an employee adding nets of fish inside.
FYI: When dumping your trash, please lift the entire lid. During my stay here, the front half was stuffed and the back half was empty.

Such a beautiful area. Rugged, classic beauty. Keep going to see some of the most beautiful places on earth. Florance Lake, Jackass Meadows are a spectacular must see, just a few miles from Ward Lake. The views are unbelievable. Roads are challenging, but worth the trip.

This is great spot, but it gets crowded and a little rowdy during the busy season. If you have kids or are a light sleeper, I would suggest Willow placer or McCabe flat. That photo is not of the location

Been closed for years. They have almost all the beetle killed trees down. It doesn't look like it will be open anytime soon. 2 hour drive from Yosemite. Nothing like that picture.

This place is awesome, but there is a huge wasp/yellow jacket problem here in the Summer. They come out and swarm your food, so if you go here, plan on eating in your tent. Bringing traps wont really help, there are way too many of them. If you dont have food out, they will generally leave you undisturbed.

This is on my top list of most beautiful camping experiences. After dinner, take few bottles (hide it) and walk to the Mammoth pool reserviour. The night sky is just mesmerizing!

We brought our 21' trailer. It was a slow drive down a bumpy dirt road. I wouldn't have towed anything larger. Great private campsite along a river. Cows walk through the grounds regularly. A great hike just up the road.

This place is a magical fairy wonderland, and the exact reason I love the mountains so much. The drive in is insane. The highway dead ends and turns into a 1-lane road, where you drive 14 miles into the backcountry to arrive. It takes about an hour, but a very beautiful. The grounds are very clean, and the general store has anything you might have forgotten at home. The river is cold, but the hike up to Doris Lake is easy and the water there is much warmer than the river. I also recommend a further drive to Lake Edison to hike up to Devil's Bathtub. It's about 9 miles round trip, and the hot springs back at camp are the perfect remedy for tired muscles. Loads of hot springs all around. I definitely hope to go back next summer!

A semi-secluded campground, I recomend you bring everything you might need, there are pit toilets, fire rings and tables other wise it is primative. Quiet, very little traffic makes for a good area to see deer.

The picture attached is really misleading. It's nowhere near the lake. It's actually 30 minutes up a winding dirt road. I was never sent directions on how to get there. Google Maps points you to the Kelty Meadow Office, which shows it's 5 minutes or so from Bass lake. But you don't go to the office. There are no "superb views of the surrounding forest and mountains." You are simply tucked up in the woods. There is no running water. The camp host is aggressive. We got there late because of the lack of directions and there was no sheet with names/campsites so we just picked one. The camp host woke me up at 7 am to tell me i was in the wrong spot... but didn't have to move. Just on a power trip. Hipcamp, please change the photo.

I camped out there for 4 nights with no issue and slept like a baby. The place is affordable, organized, and right next to the Merced River. It's only 20 minutes from the Yosemite National Park. There is a bubbly host if you need to check in and the site comes with your own bear locker, fire pit, and picnic table. There are also bathrooms but no showers. I went to the Indian RV campground that was 7 minutes away and paid $3 to use their shower. The only thing I would like to mention is that you have to past Incline Road and past the Dry Glutch campground to get to this one. I missed it the first time when I checked in around 10PM.

Back in the late 70"s early 80's at least once sometimes twice a year my parents drove 8 hours to camp there. We used to catch a whole lot of crawdads, daddy would fish, I would try...lol standing over that bridge looking at the trout swimming under, One night a bear tried to roll our ice chest away, lol, he couldnt get that ice chest open. damn good memories. Our family camped there till we moved out of state. Beautiful little camp ground.
