There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. There are many great lakes to explore in the immediate area including Lake Davis, Gold Lake, Upper Salmon Lake, and of course upper and lower sardine which are my favorites.

🐝 the Wasps and Hornets are bad this year in the Sierras. We have traps out, but be cautious and aware!
🔥 For the foreseeable future of 2024, there is a burn ban. No campfires or charcoal grills. The glampsites have propane fire pits with 1 tank provided. Basic campsites can have them provided for a small fee.
🚂 Trains are part of being in the mountains. You’ll get to hear them during the day (and night). Their whistle can be loud, most people get used to it quickly.

Coppercreek Camp is your mountain escape with fresh air and dark night skies perfect for star gazing. Come stay in a cabin or pitch a tent with friends and family and enjoy endless miles of hiking, biking, and riding trails. Coppercreek Camp is located in Plumas County 10 minutes from Lake Almanor, the Feather River, and Round Valley Lake. We are an hour from Lassen National Park.
Picnic by our ponds, play in our sandpit volleyball court, relax in a hammock, watch your kids put on a show at our amphitheater, and watch the sunset over Keddie Peak. The frogs and crickets will sing you to sleep. Ask us how to access our trails and other ponds.
Our bunk cabins are rustic with electricity, windows and locking doors, and each cabin has different bed accommodations. Please bring all of your own bedding and sleeping bags. Some of the cabins have heat/AC.
We have tent sites available with picnic tables and can accommodate dry-camping RVs. We are still working on installing RV hook-ups.
May through October there is a bath and shower house with hot water and flush toilets. Propane fire pits are available for rent. We have an ice machine on in the summer months located by our Main Lodge.
The winters are cold and snowy, spring and fall are ideal with warm sunny days and cool, crisp nights, and the summer has warm evenings and hot days. There is plenty of shade with large pine, cedar and oak trees and open sunny space in the meadow. Coppercreek Camp is your perfect mountain getaway for the whole family!
Please note: The Dixie fire burned our town of Greenville in August 2021. There is ongoing repair work in the local area, a lot of burned forest, but still many beautiful sites to see. Much of our property burned, but we are rebuilding and have beautiful green trees with plenty of shade. All of our pictures on HipCamp are post-fire and up-to-date. Please come and support our special town as we rebuild!
The town of Greenville is located about 5 minutes from our property and offers a grocery store, Dollar General, gas station with mini mart, and wonderful food trucks. Grab the best quesadillas and drinks from the Way Baby or delicious coffee and breakfast from The Valley Grind.

Congratulations Campers! The campground is reopened after the last couple of years of wild fires and tough winters. We are reopened even as repairs and upgrades are being made. Thank you to all visitors who love this place for your patience as we continue to improve the features of the Campground. Stay tuned for progress reports. We hope to see you real soon. Visit, fish, or camp in a rare jewel forest, hidden in the Sierra/Cascade foothills, less than an hour's drive to Chico, Oroville, or Paradise. Surviving forests of mature cedars, pines, oaks, and madrones provide shady camping, fishing along the lake shore, or picnicing along the banks of the creek that runs through a recovering creekside area. Stargaze or fly kites in our Great Meadow or admire copious wildflowers and other native plants on over 80 acres of wilderness. We provide a variety of recovering wilderness areas near water faucets, pit toilets and an RV dump station. Our site features mature forests, grassy meadows, a year-round creek in a fire recovery zone. The site also features lakefront shoreline access for bank fishing, a central fire pit and lots of space for group camping. Fires are permitted in the central pit when weather allows. The Lake Concow/Konkow Campground is a wilderness sanctuary and houses many variety of rare and endangered plants, animals, and insects. Please be aware of and give respectful space to all of the residents of the park. The list of year round residents may include poison oak, thorny berry vines, mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, deer, eagles, osprey, owls, squirrels, skunks, foxes, bears, mountain lions, snakes, bats, and more. Please be responsible for personal camp supplies and trash. The Campground is a Pack In/Pack Out location and garbage cans are supplied near the office house near the entrance. Good hiking shoes, protective clothing, and hats are recommended. All Campground faucets supply delicious, potable water tested regularly. The modern listings spell the name Concow, Ancestors spelled it Konkow. Both are correct, though may give different search results. There is plenty of room for parking large vehicles and for turning around. TOW VEHICLES MUST STAY THE DURATION OF THE CAMPING VISIT. Sorry, we DO NOT allow towed-in-and-dropped-off campers or 5th wheel trailers at this time. This may change as clean up work progresses through the year. Stay tuned for updates. Thank you.

Camp cooking has never been easier, as the community kitchen is well equipped with 2 full-sized refrigerators, gas stove/oven, pots and pans, dishware, silverware, triple sink, and two outdoor barbeques. The cooks will especially appreciate our unique outdoor “dishwashing station” for each individual (even kids!) to efficiently wash their own dishes instead of using throw-away plastic for each meal. Our bathhouse has two private toilets, two private showers with hot water and a double sink. Bring your own towels and toiletries.

Turner Beach At Lake Almanor is a privately owned vacant lakefront lot. The property is wide enough to accommodate 3 RV's/camp trailers end to end, ensuring no blocked views of the lake. You will be camping along Lake Almanor's East Shore on your own private campground instead of "combat camping" in the popular public campgrounds nearby. Additionally, the property can accommodate numerous smaller vans and tents. We have 2 mooring buoys and a large dock. (Dock may no longer be in the water after September) There is a sani-hut potty which is maintained/cleaned weekly. The property is located between the lake and the highway, so there will be road noise. Some guests have been bothered by the traffic and some have not.
We have 2 SUP boards, 3 kayaks, and a canoe as well as a 5-person pedal boat that can be borrowed while renting our beach. Doing so will be at your own risk and you are required to wear personal floatation devices (lifejackets). Lifejackets are not provided, so you will need to bring your own. We ask that you please respect our toys and take care not to damage them or lose any parts/pieces.
ALL RENTERS MUST TAKE THEIR OWN TRASH WITH THEM WHEN THEY DEPART
No Fireworks, No firearms, No drugs allowed.
Dogs are allowed and we do have a 10 x 10 x 6 kennel onsite. Campers are responsible for minding their pet's safety, politeness, and picking up their poo-poo's.
Marshmallow roasting/cooking fires must be kept small and are only allowed in the provided fire ring. There is some small firewood onsite, and if you need more you can purchase nearby at Almanor Landscape Supply or bring your own.
The early mornings are tranquil, and the sunsets are STUNNING! We hope you enjoy your stay!

Welcome to Sugarpine Slopes. The Sugarpine has the longest cones in the world and many birds and mammals like the pine nuts and use the tree for habitat. This is a spring through fall place only. There is no winter access. The property is at 5800 feet. Depending on the weather the road may close from Nov 15th to May 15th.
The road on the property is a dirt road. All wheel drive or 4WD vehicles recommended although the lower section could be accessed by most vehicles. Shorter trailers allowed at Site A. Site 3 can also accommodate a small teardrop-style trailer
The property is totally undeveloped at this time. It is a wildlife corridor for deer and bear (keep all food contained), the mountain quail and the blue grouse. Keep your eyes open for the Hermit Warbler, Audubon's Warbler, and our gorgeous visitor from the tropics the Western Tanager. You are likely to hear the Pileated Woodpecker and if you are lucky you will see it and its red crest in an undulating flight through the trees. The property has a lovely west facing slope which climbs gradually at first then more steeply to the top of the property. We have drive-in camping on the lower section. There is one walk-in site at the top of the property.
There is wonderful hiking nearby with several trailheads in the area within approximately 4 miles.

This is dry camping so bring water and your kitchen. A porta party is provided near the yurt. Be mindful of poison oak and please dive 10mph on the gravel road to keep dust down for my neighbors and enjoy the only privets south yuba river access in Hipcamp responsibly.
Pack out what you lack in and absolutely no open fire on the property. Propane grill are fine.

Jones Bar Farm is a quiet little seven acre hobby farm at the end of the paved section of Jones Bar Rd in Nevada City, CA. We have 4 alpacas and about a dozen chickens, who free-range all over the farm.
The farm is perched near the edge of the South Yuba River canyon at about 2100 ft elevation. We are "above the fog, and below the snow (usually)." Summers are hot and dry here. Daytime temps in July and August are typically in the 90s, and night time temps are in the 70s. Spring and Fall are our favorite seasons.

Camping here is a semi-primitive experience, since there is no bathroom, and no garbage service. There is, however, potable water, and the campsites are easy to access and relatively flat.
Past our property, the unpaved, and very rough, section of Jones Bar Rd continues down into the South Yuba River canyon for about 2 miles, to a lovely swimming hole. Bicycling and hiking are very popular activities in this area.
If you are bringing your dog with you on your travels, you will want to be aware of the many unpleasant sticker weeds that are prevalent everywhere around here. Foxtails, filaree, and hitch-hiker weeds will all find their way into your dog’s fur.
The farm is about 6 miles from both Nevada City and Grass Valley. Both towns have lively and interesting down-towns with good shopping and restaurants.

This 85 acre parcel sits just west of Nevada City, CA with the Deer Creek on our southern border and the Tribute Trail along the Newtown Canal on our northern border. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, It is a 10 minute drive to the quaint, historical gold rush town of Nevada City, and about 20-30 minutes by bicycle along the the Tribute Trail into town. Nevada City has great restaurants, bars, music and theater, as well as shopping and art galleries.
Or take a walk along the trail and down to the bridge that crosses the Deer Creek to a loop trail with lovely creek views and wooded scenery, about 1.5 hours there and back to the campground. The gorgeous South Fork of the Yuba River is a 15 - 30 minute drive away, depending on which access you choose. Great hiking, biking and swimming opportunities abound in the surrounding Sierra Nevada Foothills. The Bowman Road is about 1 + hour's drive East on Hwy 20 to Lake Spaulding, the smaller Fuller and Rucker lakes and Bowman Lake, as well as the Grouse Ridge hiking area.
We offer 4 tent platforms, as well as 4 RV parking sites. There are no hookups at this point, but there is a bathhouse with potable water, flush toilets and hot water shower .

Drove in and initially had a hard time finding the entrance. However, we messaged the host and they came out and guided us. Once parked, they showed us where the best spot is for hook ups. It was beautiful, quiet, and there weren’t a lot of campers there.
The location allowed for us to go visit Grass Valley and Nevada City and just relax.
Hosts were A+++, we had a great time & will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Sierra Waters Homestead. The trail just off the property was beautiful and perfect for an afternoon walk/hike. The bathrooms and cooking area were a plus and made our camping stay more like glamping! Would definitely stay again.

The campground was well kept, and communication was great. I had to do a late check-in, and without me having to reach out they automatically sent me a text when the time got closer to late check in. When I needed the bathroom code and wi-fi, and called the number provided and the host picked up right away and texted me the information. Felt very seamless.

We loved our stay! Helen was so kind and helpful which was much appreciated as novice campers. The local hikes she recommended were top notch and doable with two kids. We camped in the fall and nights were chilly, but the days were pleasant and the landscape with the changing colors was stunning. The space felt safe to stay with my two kids and we left feeling empowered to camp again!

The farm was such a great place to stopover in our travels! My dog loved the open space to run around and explore all while being totally fenced in. The site was cute, with a picnic table, swing and running water. We took the drive down to the river (4wd needed) and the swimming hole was magical. Didn’t swim but definitely a place to be in the summer! Camp host was super helpful and quick to respond with knowledge of the road down to the river. We had a great time and would love to come back again!

I was in Grass Valley for the Fall Strawberry Music Festival at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, and the day prior to the event, friends of mine ended up with room for me to camp near them at the Fairgrounds. Elizabeth was very responsive to my messages from my initial reservation to my change of plans!

We found Anne's place without any issues and it was easy to get setup. Anne offered some things to do in the region and was helpful. We especially enjoyed the remote feel of the property and the various farm animals and wildlife. We biked to the Yuba River on a road that was near the property. Next time we visit Nevada City we will stay with Anne if available.

CLOSED 2021. Bear Fire 2020 wiped out 50 miles of National Forest between Quincy and Lake Oroville, so this camp was burnt in that blaze is is currently NOT OPEN to the public.

Camped here summer 2018. BEAUTIFUL creek-side sites under luscious shade trees. The creek wraps around the right of the campgrounds, around the back, you can't see it from the road until you get to the back. The camp hosts are a really great couple.

Beautiful campground with clean toilet. Only $5 per night. There are 4 sites, 3 are directly on the lake. Not much of a shore depending on the site lots of brush. No campground water but used lake water for washing/bathing. Was going to camp at Gold Lake campground but was 80% full. Didn't want to be crowded so looked around and this campground was empty. Spot #4 in the back is the best. Rumor is the lake is stocked with Brown Trout. Great lake for a kayak or small boat. Tried fishing with night-crawlers and spinners with no luck. Got a couple bites on the worms fishing in the morning when the water was flat. Wind starts to pickup after 10am-5pm good time to go exploring. Good central location. Market and fuel nearby. Good overflow option.

Fall colors are decent w/ aspen groves nearby. There is no pavement at this primitive style campground (as Erik shows in his photo). Located right on the (no so busy) Oro-Quincy highway, just a few miles west of Bucks Lake. 2019, The Oro-Quincy Hwy has been closed (from Lake Oroville to Bucks Lake), since early 2017 due to landslide.

Nice new picnic tables. Good location forested campground NFS, easy access off Oro-Quincy Highway (which has been closed since 2017, due to landslide). Coming in the back way from Bucks Lake, you'll likely have the whole place to yourself.

New bear boxes for proper food storage. Tent camping here is just awesome. No swimming, as this is a residential water supply for the mountain community below. Warning: this camp is built adjacent to a rock dam. Dirt road access to the camp, small sign at turn off; Summer weekend w/ just a few people. Best hiking trails into Bucks Lake Wilderness. Mini Gold Lake (2 mile hike) & PCT access.

Long, narrow dirt road access. No RVs or trailers. This campground has been CLOSED due to landslide since 2017. Primitive camp sites are located at the second bridge, half mile before this campground. One camp site at first bridge. Campfire permits are required way back in here. Oct 2018 - Big wind event toppled a large dead tree, right across the only exit road. Had to hike out 10 miles back to highway and hitch a ride to Berry Creek. Lake Oroville is about 40 miles downhill to the west; No lake at this campground, so no boating, windsurfing or beaches here (like the icons show)

Had a great time there a few years back. we parked at silver lake and camped the night, then hiked into gold lake and camped there for a few more nights! it was awesome! if i remember correctly you cant swim at silver lake but you can do whatever you want at gold lake. its quite a hike for only 2 miles so make sure your up for it.

The falls and the trail are amazing. There was a wildfire in 2017 so surrounding forest and terrain nearby was affected. Not clear on how the campground faired.

Small, not too private camp sites. I've read that you don't want to go looking for peace and quiet as there is off roading nearby (motor bikes) but I went in the off season and it was super quiet. Maybe I got lucky 😜

This camp spot is so fun with a (bigger) group of friends. There are at least 10 spots (drive up) surrounding the lake and also easy access off the main road. We brought floaties, kayaks, and SUPs to take out on the lake. There is plenty of hiking and mountain biking actives near by. Do not miss the fire tower hike!! There are bathrooms available close walking distance from all the sites but bring your own water! The sites are clean and well equipped with fire pits and picnic tables.

Fantastic place. Got there in stock 4X4 truck. Lake is beautiful and plenty of space for family around site. Very clean with 14 day limit & no fees. No garbage or water. OK to burn in fire pit (new grill too). Bear boxes at every site.

Excellent no fee campground. Only six sites, but we were alone. Water pump and vault toilets available. Each campsite has a picnic table (excellent condition), fire ring, and food storage locker. Cows roam free and moo at all hours of the day. We awoke to hoof prints around our camp in the morning.

You can't swim a Silver Lake (it's a reservoir) But its open to boating (paddle) and fishing. Amazing swimmable lakes are just a quick hike away in the bucks lake wilderness (trail right out of campground).

Looking for a great day BBQ spot? We’d recommend Sandy Point in Buck’s Lake Recreation Area. Lots of tables and grills, and a great picnic area near the beach!

Headed to Frenchman Lake Recreation Area? For a shady spot, definitely get there early. Also, be aware that Big Cove, Cottonwood Springs, and Chilcoot are the campgrounds with flushing toilets.

Some of the lakes here are high elevation, we’re talking like 5,000 ft. up, so if it’s 90 degrees out, the lakeside weather is probably warm and breezy.
