Perched above the rest of the camp, "Hillside Perch" (Site 1) offers an elevated, open-air camping experience, with views of the surrounding campground fronting a wilderness backdrop. Situated directly above the road within the exclusive Camp Wildlands Yuba private campground, this site provides easy access with only a few steps up a unique four-step rock staircase built directly into the rock wall bordering the site. Truly a work of art. The site is about twenty feet wide by seventy five feet long offering space for two or three tents and a camp table. As part of a communal camping area, this site is designed for those who enjoy the shared energy of a group setting. Its open layout provides clear visibility to neighboring campers, making it an ideal choice for social travelers or those who prefer the security of being within sight of others. To preserve the pristine natural environment and protect the hillside, campfires are strictly prohibited at all times, ensuring a quiet, low-impact stay, focused on the sights and sounds of the Yuba River basin.

While your sleeping area is situated well away from other campers—offering a quiet, stand-alone experience overlooking the grassy hillside and river views—you still have full access to the camp's shared amenities. You can enjoy the best of both worlds: a private sanctuary to retreat to, and communal shared spaces for gathering or freshening up. To help protect this delicate Northern California landscape, campfires are strictly prohibited at all times. It is the perfect spot for those seeking undisturbed views of the stars and the meadow, with the convenience of shared facilities just a short stroll away.

The Leafy Lookout (Site 5)

Welcome to "The Leafy Lookout" (Site 5), a premier retreat within the exclusive Camp Wildlands Yuba private campground. Unwind on your own private wooden platform, where you can enjoy a dappled view of the crystal-clear river water framed by majestic Oak and Madrone trees. This elevated deck provides a clean, level base for your setup, nestled right into the vibrant Northern California hillside. The platform is about twenty feet wide by twenty-five feet long. Getting to your sanctuary is simple with easy road access. While there is no permanent parking directly at the site, you are welcome to pull up to the entrance to drop off your gear. From there, it’s just a short walk to the platform, after which you’ll move your vehicle to the designated parking area at the top of the property to keep the riverside views unobstructed. For your convenience, this site features its own water spigot located right next to the platform. Like the rest of our pristine wilderness, campfires are strictly prohibited at this site to protect the surrounding forest. While you'll enjoy a sense of independence at your private deck, you still have full access to the camp’s communal shared spaces for gathering and amenities

Shady Oaks (Site 3)

Right at the heart of the action, "Shady Oaks" (Site 3) offers a prime, central location within the exclusive Camp Wildlands Yuba private campground. Situated directly on the access road, this site is the ultimate spot for those who love to be part of the camp's energy. Its open layout provides clear views of the neighboring campsites, making it a great choice for social campers who enjoy the communal atmosphere of the grounds and easy access for unloading your gear. This site is adjacent the "Hillside Perch" (Site 5), is about fifteen feet wide by about 65 feet long offering space for two tents and a camp table, or a small vehicle parked off the access road. The site is perfectly positioned for convenience, located just steps away from the shared restroom and the communal eating pavilion. During the day, you can relax under the wide branches of a majestic oak tree that provides plenty of natural shade. To protect the surrounding woodland and this beautiful heritage oak, campfires are strictly prohibited at all times. It’s an ideal home base for anyone who wants easy access to all the camp’s amenities while staying right in the middle of it all.

The "Star Gazer’s Haven" (Site 4) offers a bright and tranquil retreat within the exclusive Camp Wildlands Yuba private campground. Positioned on the opposite side of the fence from the main activity areas and shared amenities, this site provides a semi-private experience, only sharing its access road with one other neighboring spot, "The Leafy Lookout" (Site 5). The site is about twenty feet wide (not including the road) by fifty-five feet long offering space for a small vehicle, a couple tents, and a camp table. The open-field setting grants you stunning, tree filtered views of the river and 360-degree vistas of the Northern California sky. While you'll enjoy a sense of independence and separation at your personal setup, you still have full access to the camp’s communal shared spaces for your convenience. To protect the surrounding golden grasses and maintain this pristine environment, campfires are strictly prohibited at all times. It is the perfect home base for those seeking a quiet, stand-alone sanctuary to watch the river by day and enjoy an incredible celestial show by night.
