I fell in love with this piece of property years ago, and finally was able to build my dream home here. I rescue unwanted dogs from certain euthanasia who have been abandoned or abused, and provide them a forever home. Now I want to share my beautiful wooded property where they can run, swim, investigate, play, and enjoy a free-range lifestyle. Campers and their canine family members are welcome to come and enjoy the outdoors.Beautiful secluded camp site close to Indian Creek in Genesee Valley. Located next to a farm-to-table restaurant with Napa Valley wine. Activities available all summer long; including the Silver Buckle rodeo, numerous biking events, running events, Plumas County Fair, and the annual Quincy Music Festival on July 4th.The campsite affords access to thousands of acres of public land for horseback riding, off-road vehicle use, canoeing, tubing, swimming, wildlife viewing, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and is all pet-friendly. The area is surrounded by numerous lakes for fishing or recreation. This campsite is only 17 miles from Antelope lake, a popular destination.The campsite is located in a beautiful wooded area, includes a firepit, a portable toilet, and is pet-friendly. Campers must know that there is abundant wildlife, so pets need to be supervised. Pets should not be left outside at night.

Genesee Camp

Our trip to Genesee Camp was wonderful! The campsite was beautiful and felt like our own little world! Kristine was an amazing host. She provided us with fire wood and water. The river was the perfect temperature once you got in and was so much fun to float down.

Genesee Camp

I was having trepidations about my trip due to the forecasted heatwave. Turns out, the shady beach on the creek offered the perfect respite. Everyone in my group loved this adventure. From the grandparents to the kids and the dogs, this wonderful spot provided a weekend of fun and a lifetime of beautiful memories for us all. My 11 y/o son and 10 y/o nephew had a blast swimming, searching for crawdads, swinging, and playing games… so much so that neither of them missed their electronics a single bit. Could not have asked for anything more. Can’t wait to come back. A well-deserved 10/10 for Kristine and Genesee Camp.

Our annual family camping trip was made better by this incredible site! We loved the privacy, the amenities Kris provided (water available, tons of firewood, the clean portapotty), and we felt great about the wonderful safety measures she took with the fire pit. We loved every second of our stay and will definitely be back!

Genesee Camp

A winner

Kristine has set up a wonderful camp site which is quite private. The two tables, fire pit, free fire wood and 5 gallons of water are real nice touches. The porta potty was spotless and smelled clean. It was really hot and the nearby Indian Creek, with shade, sandy beach and easy water access was a special treat. Bring your floaties! This is a really great camp spot and we had a wonderful time.

Creekside Beach + Spacious Camp!

Kristine has a pretty sweet spot right near the creek that is perfect for spending a summer weekend or week night taking in the nice cool creek with friends or family! She has everything available to have a safe set up for a fire at night and loved all the details she included with a bucket of water, drinking water, a shovel and fire extinguisher. The creek beach was absolutely beautiful and a 2 min walk right around the corner from the site. There is wildlife in the area to be aware of, but we didn't see anything while we were there. Just always good to take note!

Genesee Camp

Amazing!

This campsite was on Kristine’s private property. It is the only one so it was extremely private. Just us and the wilderness! This campsite was just the remote we wanted. It was a very short walk to the creek where there was gorgeous beach sand you can layout and hangout in for the day. The creek was also the perfect depth to be able to float on a tube or paddle board. We put up a canopy and hung out all day. It was gorgeous. You can also fly fish here! We have nothing but good things to say about this location. The only warning I would say is that the closest store is 25 minutes away (on the weekends) so make sure you pack everything and have plenty of ice. We loved Kristine’s slice of paradise and we will be back!
