Butterfly Valley is within walking distance of Butterfly Valley Botanical Area, a protected area with many native carnivorous plants. Two minute drive to Butterfly Beach on Spanish Creek, one of the best swimming holes in Plumas County. Right in the heart of the scenic Feather River and Lost Sierra, home of world-renowned hiking, biking, fishing, backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, white water rafting and more. This is truly a special property! Quincy is a thriving mountain community of 5,000 residents, the county seat of Plumas County, home of Feather River College and High Sierra Music Festival, restaurants, and a microbrewery.

Butterfly Valley Yurt

Camping in comfort!

This was our second time staying at the Butterfly Valley Yurt…and it never disappoints. The property is so beautiful and so fully surrounded by trees that you feel like you’re miles away from everything! The yurt is very comfortable. Definitely one of our favorite spots!

Yurt at Butterfly Valley

The Yurt at Butterfly Valley in Quincy, CA was so cool & is in such a beautiful area surrounded by tons of big trees and a creek that flows into the river. There is tons of hiking and fishing in the area as well. Definitely would stay here again! Lori was a very gracious host & checked on us for anything we may need.

Butterfly Valley Yurt

A true gem!

This is a wonderful spot for a getaway. Lori has created a beautiful and cozy place to escape from the daily madness of the world. The property is well maintained, and had a great time disconnecting over a long weekend. We will be back to enjoy this solitude.

Butterfly Valley Yurt

Amazing quiet mountain yurt

What a great spot! It was spared by the fire and sits in a lovely open sugar pine area. Host very kind to be sure we were ok and communication excellent. Love love the shower house!! The yurt was warm upon arrival on the hot Julyday, but quickly cooled to a comfortable temp. And sleeping was a dream with the cool mountain air Best of all was being greeted by butterflies! Do mind there are a few mosquitoes but didn't ruin our stay.

Glamping at its best!

We loved our time at Lori’s yurt! 🛖 It was very private, clean, and comfortable. My GF and I had a great time and plan to come back again!
