Butterfly Valley is within walking distance of Butterfly Valley Botanical Area, a protected area with many native carnivorous plants. Two minute drive to Butterfly Beach on Spanish Creek, one of the best swimming holes in Plumas County.  Right in the heart of the scenic Feather River and Lost Sierra, home of world-renowned hiking, biking, fishing, backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, white water rafting and more. This is truly a special property!  Quincy is a thriving mountain community of 5,000 residents, the county seat of Plumas County, home of Feather River College and High Sierra Music Festival, restaurants, and a microbrewery. This charming 20ft yurt sits on its own in a private forest on a hill above Butterfly Valley. The hard winter this year crushed our yurt. We now have a beautiful new yurt with newly installed wood flooring. Offering quiet privacy, it is a truly rustic experience best suited to those who already have a comfort level with campground-type facilities. It is warm in summer and wood-heated in winter. The yurt is equipped with an outhouse, bathhouse with a hot shower, stove, fridge, queen size bed and a futon. Quiet location tucked away in the forest. We had a good time exploring the area and getting in the river. Comfortable yurt with electricity and outhouse! Would definitely come back.

Family friendly getaway
We had a great stay and the yurt was super comfy and had everything we need for 2 adults and 2 young kids. Big bonus that it is dog friendly too. We spent most our time at a swimming hole just across the street from the property and the kids and dog loved it. Would stay again for sure.

Lori’s yurt was just what we needed for the weekend. Directions were easy to follow, the yurt was very comfortable, and Lori was quick to respond to all our needs. Definitely bring some bug spray if you’re going to spend any time outside.

Outstanding host. It was a cold night, the fire was crackling when we arrived, extra wood! Our host was very responsive and even sent us a message mid evening as it was snowing. The yurt was extra clean and so cozy!!!
