Come stay in a cabin or pitch a tent with friends and family and enjoy endless miles of hiking, biking, and riding trails. Coppercreek Camp is located in Plumas County 10 minutes from Lake Almanor, the Feather River, and Round Valley Lake. We are an hour from Lassen National Park.  Picnic by our ponds, play in our sandpit volleyball court, relax in a hammock, watch your kids put on a show at our amphitheater, and watch the sunset over Keddie Peak. The frogs and crickets will sing you to sleep. Ask us how to access our trails and other ponds. Our bunk cabins are rustic with electricity, windows and locking doors, and each cabin has different bed accommodations. Please bring all of your own bedding and sleeping bags. Some of the cabins have heat/AC. We have tent sites available with picnic tables and can accommodate dry-camping RVs. We are still working on installing RV hook-ups. May through October there is a bath and shower house with hot water and flush toilets. Propane fire pits are available for rent. We have an ice machine on in the summer months located by our Main Lodge. The winters are cold and snowy, spring and fall are ideal with warm sunny days and cool, crisp nights, and the summer has warm evenings and hot days. There is plenty of shade with large pine, cedar and oak trees and open sunny space in the meadow. Coppercreek Camp is your perfect mountain getaway for the whole family! Please note: The Dixie fire burned our town of Greenville in August 2021. There is ongoing repair work in the local area, a lot of burned forest, but still many beautiful sites to see. Much of our property burned, but we are rebuilding and have beautiful green trees with plenty of shade. All of our pictures on HipCamp are post-fire and up-to-date. Please come and support our special town as we rebuild! The town of Greenville is located about 5 minutes from our property and offers a grocery store, Dollar General, gas station with mini mart, and wonderful food trucks. Grab the best quesadillas and drinks from the Way Baby or delicious coffee and breakfast from The Valley Grind.

This camp is so peaceful and beautiful! The showers and bathrooms were super clean and convenient, and the sites were gorgeous. We did a day trip to lassen and lake Almanor from the site, and both were easy peasy. The camp hosts were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone!

My husband and I loved our stay here. The property is full of character and is very beautiful. Easy walking trails, ponds, horses, ropes courses, basketball and volleyball court’s, and amazing star gazing. Bathrooms were very clean. Spots came with a large picnic table. We rented a fire pit from the hosts and they delivered it right to our camp site. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Very cool spot to stay! It made me feel like I was a kid at summer camp again. We will definitely be back again. On a side note, the rooms with the grey doors next to the restroom are rooms with sinks to wash your hands. Took us a minute to figure out

Coppercreek Camp Tent Camping
We really enjoyed our stay at Coppercreek, and our time in the area overall was our favorite out of three places we visited over a two week camping trip. Pros and cons of the campsite... Pros: Quiet, Private, Spacious sites, fairly flat for tent, bathhouse/WC clean and convenient, low ropes course very fun and well done, George the dog's welcome, the horses nearby, more land to explore that we didn't have time to get to during our stay. Cons: The area leading to the ropes course and the bbq area needed some love but it wasn't crazy. The bathhouse is mixed gender. The toilets are stalls with doors (obv) but the showers were just a double shower curtain (mini changing space/shower stall) and I would not feel comfortable showering in there alone. My family was with me, but something to be aware of if you're traveling alone. There was one private shower/toilet room which I used with my son, and we took turns guarding bc it only locked on one side. There are very cute mini frogs in the shower house so hopefully you're down with that! :) The private room didn't have any. The shower house was very clean. Overall: We loved our stay and would recommend it to friends and family. There was a common area with basketball court, ping pong, picnic tables and such as well. Also free ice for ice chests. It felt a little expensive, but I think that's the going rate for a shower and flush toilet these days!

I’ve spent many weekends at Coppercreek camp and every time is exceptional. It’s never busy but you have hot water showers, toilets, fresh drinking water, and a large ice machine. Those luxuries are amazing while camping. The cabins are simple but with electricity and AC, and each with their own private decks. The tent sites have ample shading from the trees. Sutter & Taylor are super friendly and welcoming as well. 10/10 recommend.

The Overlook Cabin
We loved this place so much. It reminds me of the 4H camp I went to in Kentucky in the 70s, which is a good thing. Perfectly quiet and so many amenities that make camping so easy and comfortable. Half of me wants to tell everyone to come while the other half wants to keep it a hidden gem. But come. You won’t regret it.

12/10 would recommend! We plan on coming back to camp here next year! Sutter, Taylor, their kids AND their dogs were all very welcoming. The land around the campsites were gorgeous and well kept. There are clean bathrooms with showers onsite, potable water via an outdoor sink and a small area with a bbq spit and picnic tables for all to enjoy. If you are a dog lover this spot is for you!! The family dogs have made it their mission to warmly greet and inspect every guest morning and night. We were in HEAVEN. All in all, if you’re looking for calming views of grassy pastures, sounds of toads croaking in near by ponds, the promise of friendly four legged friends and easy access to a quaint quiet town, this spot is for you. Can’t wait to come back next year 🏕️

The Little Grey Cabin
We loved our weekend at Coppercreek Camp. We had a big family weekend with a mix of ages including 9 kids under 12. We had a mix of cabins and tent sites. Everything was clean and comfortable. So nice that there is an ice machine. As a mom of young kids that stresses out anytime we’re in public, I really appreciated that as soon as we arrived Sutter told our kids what there was to do and to go run around and explore. The camp was set up perfectly for the kids. They loved playing badminton, the ropes course, and playing cards on the lodge deck in the evenings.

This was the best campsite! The horses and dogs were so fun to pet and the overall experience of the campsite was perfect. Felt as though we were at summer camp and couldn’t have been happier. The hosts were very sweet and met us soon after we arrived and gave us all the details we needed for a great stay :)

Newly renovated cabin with new windows and ac with plenty of room for an extra cot. All sorts of activities for the kids with ping pong, tether ball, volleyball, basketball and rope course. We'll maintained facilities and clubhouse. We really enjoyed the Campground and the close proximity to Lake Almanor and Lassen Volcanic Park and will definitely return.

Had another great stay at Coppercreek, the kids had a blast with the ropes course, and we got to pick blackberries this time. The proximity to Lake Almanor and the Feather River makes for great swimming and fishing. The hosts had even hung up a line for us to dry our towels, which was great. A truly amazing spot, thanks again for having us!

The Little Grey Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at Coppercreek Camp. The property is large, scenic, and well shaded, and we enjoyed walking around and meeting the horses, part of the friendly pack of dogs, and playing some of the games provided on the property. Will likely be back for another stay as the location is great for its proximity to Lassen, lakes, rivers and mountains. Thanks!

Sutter and Taylor’s property was perfect for our family. It had everything we needed to explore Greenville, Lake Almanor and Lassen Volcanic NP —- level tent sites, a sink for your dishes, clean bathrooms (with hot water!), unlimited ice and filtered water, a safe rope course for kids, perfect spots for stargazing, games (basketball, table tennis, etc), and friendly and well-behaved dogs.

I took the meadow spot -- early dawn highlights include a fabulous sliver of moon, but added to my meadow, I also had the propane fire ring for evening/morning warmth and marshmallow roasting. Solar powered lights mark the road while not interfering with the abundant starlight. Because we were a large group, I also booked a cabin, but the meadow was definitely the center of operations. I'll be back in a few weeks.

Comfortable and quiet

RV- Dry Camping- No Hook-Ups (Yet!)
Great place to spend a relaxing time. This is a very comfortable place with all the amenities including clean showers, toilets, place to cook, filtered water, and anything that you might need. We used this as our based to car camp and drive around to explore the lakes and Lassen volcanic park. Property is pretty big and you can walk around a get lost. Really good if you have kids to camp around and just relax. If you forget something there is a pretty good evergreen market just 5-6 minutes drive away.

Treehouse Cabin
We loved the whole vibe at Sutter and Taylor’s. Taylor came right out to meet us and showed us around. The area was so peaceful and quiet. We were very impressed with the land. And we were saddened by the devastation that the town has endured because of the Dixie fire in 2021.

Amazing spot! Love how it is all set out, lots of games etc in the common area, cool areas to walk around, great showers, lovely friendly horses. Really enjoyed our stay, thanks so much!

Rustic with glamping
The Little Grey Cabin
We had a great and pleasant time. A rustic experience with full showers and restrooms close by. It is such a beautiful setting nestled in the trees.
