Very quiet and peaceful. Only 11 miles to Lassen park. Gas and market close by. Only minus no electricity, but they had many battery lanterns. Nice place to glamp.

Such a special space. Perfectly located, thoughtfully stocked. What a gem. For those that are no stranger to camping or the outdoors, you will find this space to be a truly special blend of the joys of camping commingled with some simple comforts from home

This spot is among pine trees not far from the road near forest service trails and logging roads and only 15 minutes from Lassen Volcanic National Park, which is amazing. The garage/living room/kitchen has one screened wall (the open garage door) that gives a sense of being outside with the comforts of home. Ice sold nearby for your cooler, and Linda has left solar lanterns for light (bring your headlamps, too) and a solar water bag for a warm shower. Well equipped kitchen (bring you own olive oil). We enjoyed our stay. My husband saw a fox passing by at dusk!

So nice to have a bed and shower at the end of the day even if it’s cold a shower. Place was much bigger than expected, very clean and the bed super comfortable.

We loved staying at Linda's camping cabin! There was lots of light during the day with the garage door open and she provided so many lanterns and flashlights we hardly needed ours. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, a coffee percolator, a stovetop espresso percolator, a french press, a pourover (basically you're set with however you like your coffee). So many games to play, etc. The bed is comfy and the pullout couch is great too. We had our two little ones, one in a pack'n'play and the other on a blowup crib-size mattress in the living room with lots of room to spare. The fire pit is great and there's a charcoal grill and a small propane grill to cook on. It is in a lightly populated neighborhood and close to the main highway, so expect to see and hear people and cars. This is a perfect base location for exploring the northern part of the park and for getting over to Burney Falls or Lake Britton.

This was an absolutely fantastic stay; everything was perfect. This little cabin was an incredible find, and I'm already planning trips to come back! It's equipped with everything you could need, even without electricity. The bed is SO comfortable, there's tons of games and books for entertainment, pet supplies, dishes, spices in the kitchen, I could go on and on. I came here for the purpose of restoration and I absolutely got it. Lassen Park is a magical place, and I am deeply grateful to Rose and Linda for curating this cozy, homey, safe space so close by the park. I can't thank you enough!!
My only note to future visitors - there is very little to no service here, so screenshot or write down the directions getting into the house, especially if you're coming after dark :)

We enjoyed our stay at this perfectly-located cabin. We found it very cozy, and brought a set of solar-powered string lights, head lamps, and a lantern for light sources. However, Linds was prepared and had plenty of lanterns available. Since we stayed here in October when it was pretty cool, we enjoyed many fires in the wood stove and opted to sleep on the pull out bed our second night so we could be by the stove. That and the bed were both comfortable. We loved how close we were to Lassen NP, and also enjoyed taking our dogs for walks through the quiet neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this cabin, but do believe that summer is the ideal time (as the name suggests) when the days are long and you don't have to worry about the fact that there are no lights, and when it's warm enough to open up the garage door. I bet that's so cool! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay. We enjoyed the coziness and the quiet and peaceful surroundings. Very close to many places we wanted to visit ( lassen, subway cave, and Burney falls). Was perfect for 2 adults and a child. Linda was a great hostess. Very responsive and very helpful. We will come back.

Very quiet and secluded, the house had everything we needed and more. The bug net is peeling off a lot at the bottom, so watch out for spiders before you put your hands in drawers, etc. Something we didn’t know when we booked was that we needed to bring our own sheets and pillowcases, and we found out when we got check-in instructions about a week before our trip.

This was a great Glampsite! The Open Air feature made the whole place just wonderful! Like being outside but cleaner!. No power and nothing too fancy, but for our family of 4, plus our 2 dogs, it was just perfect! Would stay again! I also found Linda to be quick to respond to all of our questions leading up to our stay. Thank you!

This place was a real find. Our campsite at Manzanita Lake was cancelled last minute, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The real star of the show was the fact that the open garage door (covered with a screen) gave the living space tons of light and really made for easy communication with the campfire and people hanging around outside

A fun little getaway with so much to do close by! I loved waking up to the smell of vanilla-pine. The site is quiet, and we watched and heard a large variety of birds in the morning. This was my first time staying in an optionally open-air room like this, and the location was perfect for it, we could just rest and enjoy the view. We appreciated the helpful binder with things to do, safety info, and local restaurants, primarily because we didn't have cell phone reception. We also enjoyed the book selection and playing darts. The drive to the location was beautiful, and we saw a deer.

The place is sweet and very comfortable! The whole ‘neighborhood’ was quiet. Low traffic, hardly saw other people at all. Very nearby many of the area’s geological attractions (Spatter Cones, Subway Cave, Lassen Natl Park).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lassen Glampsite! It is such a unique space. It’s clean, organized, and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. We appreciated the proximity to Lassen Park and other sites we explored (eg. Subway Cave, Hat Creek overlook and several hikes). It is truly a chance to get away uninterrupted as there is minimal cell service in the area (we had no AT&T coverage and our friends had one bar on TMobile). We would definitely stay here again!

Great little getaway experience! A good way to disconnect from technology and just hang out with your friends. Burney Falls is about 35 min away and easy to get to, which was a very nice bonus for this trip. There are hanging Christmas lights at the site so if you bring a portable battery power station that has an outlet, you can plug those in to get a very nice setting. I'd also recommend bringing wood since there is a fireplace here and it can get a little chilly. The kitchen came handy as we brought a cooler with meat and was able to use the provided propane grill. You can also bring coal as there are multiple grills. If you come prepared, bring your own music, games, and good people, you will have a good time!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Lassen Summer Glampsite. While there was no electricity and we were aware of that going in, we didnt miss it at all. Imagine having a secluded wooded campsite to yourself, sitting around the campfire, but still able to cook in the kitchen, and relax on a couch after the sun goes down. It was quiet, with beautiful surroundings and exceptionally close to Lassen Volcanic NP. Thank you for hosting us Rose!

Rose was fantastic! The garage/campsite had everything you could ever need. A fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, full bed, and pull out sofa. We had a wonderful time exploring Lassen National Park during that day and sleeping under the stars at night.

My brother and I had the BEST TIME with Rose. The property was beautiful with plenty of space to choose from for camping. This place is near by a beautiful creek and tons of our door recreation. We were warmly welcomed with anything we could possibly need. We played a very intense game of boccie ball with our gracious hosts, stargazed in reclining lawn chairs, hung out in the hammock on the property, and had an overall amazing time. There was also a bad-mitten court set up. Would stay here again to come visit Lassen National Park.

Fabulous hosts, amazing campsite, awesome location!
Honestly, we couldn't have wished for a better first Hipcamp experience! Rose and Linda are the best :) They are lovely friendly people, and very accommodating. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home at their wonderful retreat and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
We pitched our tent next to a nice big hammock and enjoyed relaxing around the site in the evening and star gazing at night. The amenities were very nice and the Big Springs location was super close to the Park and many other local attractions.

Rose was a wonderful host. She was very available by message before we arrived, and incredibly accommodating once we got there. The site was great for beginner campers and was not difficult at all to find or park near. The accommodations were very clean and we were given access to a grill and outdoor fire pit for food, as well as some sporting equipment for entertainment! Overall, I would highly recommend this campsite, and would be happy to return in the future.
