Great site right next to the creek, private, beautiful environment. Only down side was *very* far away from the toilet. This was not depicted accurately on their map.

ALWAYS THE BEST PLACE

Nora, Scott, Alex, Celeste, everyone is ALWAYS AWESOME. Nora and Scott have created a safe, fun haven for families near and far. This is our second time at the camp. First time was with tent, and we usually tent camp everywhere off grid etc etc. But I thought, hey, I just turned 49,and we've got two boys that are 7 and 10. I need a break with a cabin. 😂😂😂. Place was perfect, and I was a chef before I was a full time photographer, so having cookware around is always a must. At Camp Stoney, most everything is there for you to cook. I brought my stove out of habit, my usual backup camp cookware, and forgot they have a three burner, outdoor Camp Chef Stove there. I NEVER recommend or tell my friends exactly where this place is, when they ask about photos. Because it's OURS. 😂🤣 . I just say, "It's up north near Kosk Creek." With that said, for a nice romantic outdoor adventure for a couple, or family with kids. This place is awesome. We love what Nora and Scott have created, and I only wish I found it years earlier. We love dogs, and I miss my dog very very very much. He traveled to 29 states with me. The dogs on the ranch will be your best friend, Lobo, Polo and Kaleo. And if your kids like creature hunting, fishing, anything outdoors. You can find it here. See you next year!!!

Had a great time camping at this location. The campsites are evenly spaced apart for campers that prefer some privacy. We had site 1 and felt secluded but not far away. The common area has everything you need if you've forgotten something while packing or want to socialize with other campers. There is a campground dog that roams and is very friendly with everyone. Dog was not too too friendly to our little poodle in the beginning but was never an issue afterwards as they walked by each other with no issues. Would recommend.

Site 2 - Tent Camp Stoney Meadows

What a hidden gem! Definitely coming back. We stayed in camp spot #5, which isn’t on here - we booked #2 originally but the owner asked us if we wanted to move to 5 because 3 was booked - so they just keep that spot open to spread people out if they want the privacy. That made our trip 10x better - we had a spot with a beautiful creek view with access - across from the run off that looks like a little waterfall - which was soothing to the ears and blocked out any noise. The community kitchen, bathroom and shower was a nice touch too. It was nice being able to wash dishes in the community kitchen and store items in the refrigerator. We forgot our pillows and they gave us extra too! The property is beautiful to walk around, the garden, farm animals, swimming hole, bridge, etc. There’s also a strong WiFi spot up at their home outside - so that came in handy to download directions, movies/music. Things to note or advise - Go to Kosk creek springs for the day! It was amazing and so close to camp. There’s so much to do at Stoney - don’t miss out on it while day tripping to other places!!! Iron canyon isn’t worth the drive (1 hour) Burney falls 1.5 hours - crowded and not worth it. Ignore the shanty town about 30 min out - it doesn’t reflect the camp at all. Their dogs were really nice and hung out with us, then one snapped at my dog out of nowhere’s so just don’t let your guard down if it’s hanging with your pups. It was random, but still concerning. Overall great stay!!!!

Site 2 - Tent Camp Stoney Meadows

Scott and Nora are the best hosts you could ask for! Every time we have a wonderful and heartwarming experience. The camp spot next to the creek is perfect.. nice and cool in the mornings but jeffrey when it's hot in the summer during the day. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights total. I had my three kids but it's so easy to camp as there is a equipped putdpor kitchen area with a refrigerator and freezer..there is a bathroom and sink and then a full shower room with hot water. When I tell you this is the perfect spot for your family whether you're camping or staying in the cabins. I mean it with my whole heart.. BEST place ❤️

This place was beyond peaceful and amazing. It had everything you needed to have a perfect trip. Everything was as nice and clean. The owner scoot came and greeted us with a warm welcoming to his campsite. Alex was so nice he helped when ever he was seen and I had a question. I’d absolutely recommend this site & would return over and over again. Well worth the 9hr drive.

Site 1 - Tent Camp Stoney Meadows

Very peaceful, private site. While it is next to the creek, u could potentially be sharing the waterline with other guests. We got lucky and owned it! Scott is incredibly welcoming and generous of a host. This site requires a bit a walk to carry in your gear, but so worth it as the creek sounds just sing u to sleep. We love that there's a community kitchen so u barely need gear beyond sleeping stuff (and a floaty for the creek!)

Staying here was a great experience! The facilities were clean and the creek was fun to swim in. The cabin had much needed air cooling and a mini fridge as well. The kitchen was well furnished. I would definitely recommend staying here!

This is our second time staying and it's great! Love the communal kitchen, great access to creek, and friendly atmosphere. He lets us lick from the garden and last year set up the whole pizza oven for us even bringing dough! It was too hot this year but still a perfect get away from technology!

Nora and Scott’s land is beautiful!! From the sun flower garden, to the creek, to the lovely farm dog, it was all amazing!! The common areas were clean and well taken care of. We had such an amazing time!!

I loved the air, the tent spot, and the community of this Hipcamp. Stoney Meadows really brought the joy and I’m thankful for Scott, Nora and already miss Polo their pup. I’ll be back. It was absolutely worth the drive from Sacramento.

Room 1 with a view of Kosk Creek

We rolled up late to be greeted by Scott who just happened to be passing by to let us know it was pizza night and I knew I was gonna like this place already! The site was beautiful and you could hear the stream all night. Woke up in the morning to see cows and a horse in the field. Definitely would recommend!

Ramada in the Trees

Scott was so kind and helpful during our stay! What a little slice of heaven Scott and Nora have. We enjoyed hearing the creek throughout our stay and had the swimming hole all to ourselves. Be prepared for a (somewhat) treacherous drive in, but once you are at the campgrounds it’s nothing but relaxation!

This place is amazing. Perfect place to relax and unwind. It is well kept! We loved our conversations with Scott and Alex. Planning on going back in late August or early September for so many reasons but hopefully the garden is ready for picking :)

We only planned to stay here for one night while passing through on our road trip, but we immediately wished we had booked a longer stay. The vibes were absolutely immaculate. The hosts were incredibly kind even making us fresh pizza! 🍕 Our campsite was right next to the creek, and falling asleep to the sound of the flowing water was one of the most peaceful parts of the trip. The campground felt safe and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. 🌲

Relaxing Stay w/ Animal friends

Our group had an amazing stay at the Creekside Family Lodge! We loved spending time with all the animals (Polo accompanied us all over and we got to feed Chapo apples). We had exceptionally peaceful swims in the creek. We all slept really well- the beds were SO comfortable and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. The communal kitchen next door has easy working grills too. Great stargazing at night and easy to access the hot springs nearby! Not too far for day trips to nearby areas. A great place to unwind.

Ramada in the Trees

The hosts were lovely and the location is beautiful for people who want to stay there for the day. They have a cold creek with a swimming hole and a warmer pond, which is nice on summer days. There are also hot springs at their neighbor's property nearby. There is a well-equipped and comfortable outside kitchen with a BBQ, stove and fridge, warm shower and toilet. They have proper wooden cabins, but the 'Ramada' is actually a covered motor home with a large, screened living room built outside the motor home. There are fans and the AC worked when we were there (it gets hot at noon in the summer and cold at night). Right next to the creek was also nice and cool, even without getting wet. The location takes about 40 min to drive from hwy299 - so if it's a base for exploring the area, that adds another 1.5 hours driving per day. On the map it looks like there's a road going directly to Shasta, but the host didn't recommend we use that road. Because it is so far from any city and there is a big meadow - the stars were wow!!!

Amazing Experience!

This was such a fun and beautiful place! We stayed in room 2 of the bunk house, and our son stayed in room 1. Our first night we had the whole campground to ourselves, being that it was early in the week. By the weekend, however, they were pretty much full. Scott was very friendly and helpful. Pollo, the ranch Great Pyrenees, hung around with us much of the time. He was so sweet, gentle and protective. We loved the outdoor kitchen and the big swimming hole up the creek. It's a long bumpy ride to get there, but it's worth it. I definitely recommend this beautiful ranch/campground to anyone who is a lover of the outdoors!

Swimming holes, creeks, stars!!!

Scott was such an incredible host and was attentive to making our trip memorable! He showed us to our camp site (camp 5 with the waterfall!) and introduced us to the dogs, our fellow guests, and the people to know in case of a disaster. Big Bend is beautiful and I definitely wish we booked a few more nights! Thanks again!

Amazing!

What a gem! This place is quite magical. Simple. Secluded. Peaceful. Welcoming. The perfect place to escape and be in nature. Use it as launch pad to explore places like Burney Falls. Or just stay on the property. The swimming hole is amazing. It's a must do. Super clean fresh water with rocks to jump off or lounge on. We didn't bring anything to float on so grabbed some cheap tubes at a nearby store and they were perfect. We took up up to the swimming hole to float around on. Even had them out on the more shallow portion of the creek that's by the campground and had fun splashing around. The campsites are well equipped. We did tent camping and our friends got the larger cabin. Communal kitchen/bathroom were clean and equipped with anything you forgot to bring for cooking. And the hosts were so great. We had an amazing pizza night where they supplied the dough and cooked the pizzas in a wood fired stove right on site. It turned into a big potluck with our fellow campers and made it feel like a small community, even if just for the weekend :) Will definitely be coming back.
