Welcome to Juniper Spur Ranch!
We have 3 RV sites available for campers to book. Please note that we do not have RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message.
There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses or for a quick outdoor shower with a handheld spritzer. It is not enclosed so you will need to be discreet.
Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times.
Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer.
Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake. Bring your horses too. I have a couple of electric-fenced paddocks for visitors.

Dark skies and stunning views
I arrived to Patrice’s land Site 3 well after dark but found the site without any issues and with excellent and prompt communication along the way. When I woke up and looked out of my van in the morning my jaw almost dropped at the view of Shasta and the surrounding wilderness… just beautiful! Would definitely return.

Too windy for tents, RV only
The host did not warn us about how windy the site is during the day. The wind here was so bad it was destroying our tent. We booked two nights and had to leave before the second one. No refund despite host failing to me tion the CRAZY wind. Honestly, I don't think this should be a tent camping location at all. It will destroy your tent if you leave it up all day so you have to take it down and repitch it every night. There is no shade at all so staying in the tent all day is not an option. This should be an RV only site. Don't take a tent there unless you don't care about it. Ruined the last day of our vacation and we had to end our trip early all due to lack of transparency about the wind. And it would be easy for the host to mention the wind on the site profile. There's a burn ban in place but even if there were not, it would be insanely dangerous having fires here with the wind. There's no water at all and no way a campfire would be safe. All in all, a nice RV site and not a good tent site. Yes the wind dies down once it's dark but that means setting your tent up in the dark. I'm surprised hipcamp lets hosts charge this much for tent camping when it's practically impossible. Don't plan a multi night trip here if you use a tent.

Stargazing,
Patrice’s place is close off of the highway but private. We loved falling asleep to Mt Shasta in view and enjoying the great stargazing. The portapotty was very clean as well. We would stay again!

Excellent views and very peaceful. There's a few horses on site but they were very quite, and Patrice was very helpful. There's not much shade but we had some nice clouds and even a few raindrops.
