My husband and I were trying out a camper van rental and driving down the coast. This spot is fantastic - it has everything you would have at a typical campground - except the crowds! It’s quiet and peaceful with pretty views of strawberry fields and Ray and Robin are lovely hosts; they gave us fresh eggs! As others have said there is a beautiful beach about an 8 min walk away that is dog friendly. We would definitely stay there again!

Skid camp was a perfect spot for off the beaten path, for a quiet night. It’s located very close to Madonna County Park that offers amazing hiking as well as other activities. There is a small fire ring and bench made out of logs. We were able to gather fire wood easily. No bells and whistles, just a freshly skidded road with a campable landing. Recommend 4x4 for much easier access—the drive out off the mountain in the morning was truly beautiful.

You can’t put into words or pictures how wonderful this place is. It’s so amazing!!! If you book anywhere else, it’s a mistake. The property was so enchanting!! We had a surprise group camp trip here for my husbands 30th birthday & everyone (all very experienced campers) left saying it was the best campsite of their life. & we are already planning our return trip!
