This is a great place to get away and come camp here in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a perfect location for tent camping or come park your trailer or Motorhome/Bus. We have great hiking in the near area and 5 miles away there is great mountain biking trails. A world renoun mountain bike spot with intermediate to experienced trails for riders of all levels. 5 miles down the road as well is buzzard lagoon and is a great Dirt biking/4-wheeling location. It is a fun spot for all off road inthusiast! Your camping site is on a flat plateu and is an ideal spot to park your trailer, motorhome or tent camp. With Complete privacy with views of the pacific ocean and South county's Monterey bay with a 180 degree view as well as San jose and Morgan Hill. For the wine inthusiast, Loma Prieta winery is 5.5 miles away along with Windy Oaks Winery that is 3.7 miles away that is located on the "Wine trail" that has alots of winerys to offer in a beautiful location. A clean and fresh well water hand/dishwashing station and two outhouses are conveniently located to the campsites. We provide one hot water shower and there are 3 outhouse style toilets on the grounds. There is NO running water at the sites so we suggest you bring your own drinking water. There will be limited water provided for hand/dish washing. We are a pack it in/pack it out campground so please, be mindful of waste as we ask that you take it out with you. Eucalyptus, oak, and/or pine firewood is provided free for you during your stay with us. It really is a beautiful and wonderful property. There is wildlife, and it is private and peaceful. It is very dark at night and the view of the stars, moon, and planets is amazing. There is poison oak on the property so please be aware. We will show you what it looks like, so you can easily avoid it.

Solo traveler. I loved parking my class B RV here with a beautiful view of the Strawberry fields. Manresa State Beach parking lot only 1/2 mile away. A beautiful beach and surf spot with wide, sandy shores. Walk for miles! Hosts were very welcoming, helpful and kind. I felt safe there!

Beautiful view at sunrise. Whether you come up from the Los Gatos or the Morgan Hill/Gilroy side, it will go off road but you just have to take it slow and the average car would do just fine. Great spot tho, perfect space for tent camping.

This is our second time to this beautiful property and we will return again. Doug and Denise are both very warm and welcoming. They are the perfect combination of offering help if needed but also giving us our space. The property is just beautiful with a river you can walk to and so many varieties of mushrooms. Don’t forget to look out for the banana slugs!

My husband and I were trying out a camper van rental and driving down the coast. This spot is fantastic - it has everything you would have at a typical campground - except the crowds! It’s quiet and peaceful with pretty views of strawberry fields and Ray and Robin are lovely hosts; they gave us fresh eggs! As others have said there is a beautiful beach about an 8 min walk away that is dog friendly. We would definitely stay there again!

Weekend Trip to Amaya Creek Redwood Campground

I had originally booked site 1 to be closer to the restroom, but was told that someone that was currently staying there extended their stay. Jing was very prompt & kind to offer us other campsites within the area. We ended staying at Site 3 instead, which actually worked out much better in my honest opinion. It was literally right next to the hiking trail that my buddies went on. However site 3 was advertised as (Near Restroom) but it really isn't. It's a pretty long walk up and down a hill to get it. Luckily we paid for the extra car, which ended up being our vehicle to drive to the restroom. I don't think that would make me not recommend to stay at here. We made it work. Overall our stay was super nice, memories were made with friends & family. The redwoods provided so much shade and we felt cool all day. Not to mention sunset was really nice as well. We walked & drove past the group campsite and probably would plan another stay at that site next time. Thank you for the hospitality! We'll be back!

Beautiful trees surround the group site’s flat ground. But each individual campsite looked pristine, the most south ones especially. Plenty of picnic tables, bathrooms suitable, water food. There’s also 15 min hike straight down to a creek. Gorgeous spot!

Weekend Trip to Camp Rewilding

Skid camp was a perfect spot for off the beaten path, for a quiet night. It’s located very close to Madonna County Park that offers amazing hiking as well as other activities. There is a small fire ring and bench made out of logs. We were able to gather fire wood easily. No bells and whistles, just a freshly skidded road with a campable landing. Recommend 4x4 for much easier access—the drive out off the mountain in the morning was truly beautiful.
