Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Finley Camp is nestled along Finley Creek in West Sonoma County. Campsites are located in open flats surrounded by Coast Doug Fir, Alder, and California Bay forests. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, and access to a porta potty and hand washing station. The campsites are located past the end of the county road allowing for a quiet peaceful experience. Enjoy a quiet stroll on site, the surrounding communities of Bodega, Bodega Bay, Valley Ford, and Tomales, or just enjoy a quiet day in camp. Our sites are located approximately 20 minutes from Bodega Bay. The campsites are 2.5 miles from the coast and the weather can be unpredictable. As a general rule, it is very similar to that of San Francisco.
All camp sites are situated in a valley that offers protection from the coastal winds. The have both morning and evening shade. Sites #2, #6, #7, and #11 have the most space, while sites #4, #7, #8, #9 and #11 offer the most privacy. Sites 1-3, any combination of 5-7, and 12-13 are well suited for groups. Other site groupings work well depending on the number of sites being reserved. Site #8 is unique in that it has a wood deck/platform for tents. There are also NO wood fires allowed at site #8 as it is under the tree canopy. A propane firepit is provided for your use. You can bring a 5 gallon propane tank from home, or a full one is available for rent on site.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at Finley Camp. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times while on the property. There are no exceptions to this. Finley Camp is located on an active cattle ranch and directly adjacent to a neighboring ranch with cattle.
WE HAVE BEEF AGAIN! Beef is free range grass fed and all naturally raised. Please contact camp host for a price sheet or review price sheet attached to the firewood stand near Site #1.
Also be sure to check out our orchard tours! The apples are ripe now and our verities will continue to ripen thru late November. We'll take you to our family orchard where you can pick apples, pears, or blueberries in season and taste yummy treats out of our family garden.

Welcome to Terwer RV Park, a family-owned campground tucked near Klamath Glen on California’s beautiful North Coast. This little park has been welcoming campers for more than 40 years, and our family is honored to help carry it into its next chapter. My husband and I, along with our two young children, are working to keep the simple charm of Terwer alive while making thoughtful improvements along the way. Around here, we like to call it Klamath’s Best Kept Secret.
Terwer RV Park is the kind of place that is getting harder to find. It is simple, peaceful, and full of old-fashioned campground charm. We are not a luxury resort, and we do not try to be. What makes this place special is the open space, the quiet mornings, the scattered trees, the fresh coastal air, and the slower pace that makes you want to sit outside just a little longer.
The Klamath River is just over the levee, only a short walk from camp. It is a beautiful place to fish, swim, explore, or simply sit and enjoy the water. The river is known for salmon and steelhead fishing, and a valid fishing license is required. During peak fishing season, especially in August and September, you may hear early morning activity from guests heading out to the river.
We are located about 4 miles off Highway 101, close enough to be convenient but far enough away to feel tucked away from the rush. Wildlife is common in the area, so please secure your food and trash at night.
There is so much to explore nearby. Guests love visiting Redwood National and State Parks, Trees of Mystery, Klamath River Jet Boat Tours, coastal viewpoints, hiking trails, biking routes, and quiet places to wander among the redwoods.
A few things to know before you book:
* Firewood is available on site.
* Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier. Free Wi-Fi is available and reaches most of the campground.
* Electric vehicle charging is $20 per charge and must be arranged ahead of time. 50 amp service is limited, and guests must provide their own adapters.
* Well-behaved pets are welcome.
* Kids, laughter, bikes, campfires, and simple outdoor fun are always welcome.
* We offer dry camping, 30 amp sites, and 50 amp pull-through sites.
* Late arrivals are okay. If you plan to arrive after 10:00 p.m., please text us before 9:00 p.m. so we can send check-in instructions.

This 60 acre property is located approximately 3 miles east of San Gregorio Beach in the San Gregorio area. There is no home here, only a travel trailer on the Upper Meadow. It is very peaceful, quiet and beautiful throughout the seasons.
We are 5 minutes away from the San Gregorio General Store and cafe and 20 minutes from Alice's Restaurant. We have great cell coverage for Verizon, AT&T and Visible. Experience shows that T-Mobile does not work here and I don't know about the other internet providers.
There are four campsites, each with easy 4WD access. Two of the sites offer total isolation with amazing views while the third site, while in a nice setting, is more useful for a quick overnight stay with no views of the ocean or canyon. Please note that five easy-going cows (no bulls) reside on this property.
Dear winter and spring campers, please consider using "Sensible Weather" for your trip protection in the event of heavy rain or even high temperatures in the summer and fall. I have not used this insurance feature but the description makes it look worth considering, available when reserving on Hipcamp.

The Salinan site provided us a wonderful remote camping feeling. It was peaceful and wild, with an incredibly beautiful view - especially the night sky! 4-wheel drive is a must as indicated. And hosts were quite responsive and communicative. We hope to return again!

Beautiful property! The directions were spot-on, and the photos were very helpful. I had no trouble finding the ranch. The road up is steep, but if you’re comfortable driving on mountain roads, it’s easy to navigate. The gate is a little tricky—and heavy—but I didn’t have any real trouble with it.
The Puri site was lovely, shaded by large trees and spacious enough for both my large tent and a separate changing tent. There’s also a water spigot at the site, which was a very nice surprise!
Privacy may be limited if other campers are present. The neighboring site is close enough that you can hear the other campers, although both nights were quiet after 9 p.m. Puri is also directly alongside the road, but the only passing vehicles belong to campers staying at the upper site, so traffic was minimal. Just be careful if you have pets off leash.
One final tip: don’t drive your tent stakes too deeply! I had the unfortunate luck of hitting an underground ant colony—or one of their tunnels—and ended up with biting ants everywhere. Definitely not the camping adventure I had planned! The ants were in no way a reflection of the owners or the property, and the owners were incredibly understanding. In fact, they were so kind and accommodating that I’ve already booked another stay. Aside from that memorable mishap, the site itself was beautiful and very comfortable.

Booked on Friday and arrived on Saturday. The location is isolated despite being relatively close to civilization. Sites are a nice distance from each other where each has a good amount of privacy. A water spigot at the sight was a pleasant surprise and nice to use to splash some water on our faces and fill the dog bowl. Toilet was clean and well kept. We got a nice welcome text from the host, but didn't reply until we left and realized we had misplaced an earring. The host immediately went to our site with a metal detector (wow!) and helped us out as we had already left. Truly above and beyond.
We appreciated knowing the roads to get there are unpaved, but driving slowly with our trailer we made it just fine. We were glad to have our awnings for some shade. Bug spray is also a good idea, but there really weren't swarms or anything that would keep us from coming again. Thank you so much!

I know I will be coming back in the near future for a longer stay. I was so happy to find a spot on the coast and didnt expect much- but I was pleasantly surprised. Our campsite was the smallest one, but even that was big enough for our car setup and tailgate tent. The other sites would be perfect for a longer stay. We had our 2 dogs with us and the site had a dog run called "The Bone Yard" that was well maintained and our girls loved it. We sat in there twice on Saturday to let them run and tire themselves out. Maya was incredibly sweet and their little gift shop had adorable locally made treasures and last minute food stuffs. Location was wonderful for checking out the northern California coastline. I would 100% recommend and come again.

Absolutely lovely place to stay with a young kid! Our campsite (#9) was spacious and surrounded by beautiful redwoods.
Our camp host, Maya, was kind and charming. We greatly enjoyed chatting with her. She recommended great kid-friendly hikes.
The location is perfectly situated to visit the Redwood, Crescent City, and Arcata. The showers are nice and hot, and there is even a dishwashing station. Just felt like a very easy camping trip—lots of amenities while still out in the woods.
Our 3.5 year old LOVED playing on the (slightly dilapidated) mini golf course, playing on the slide, tires, and horseshoes, and learning how to play pool in the game room. We ate blackberries, found banana slugs, and climbed around on tree stumps. Can’t recommend highly enough!

I spent one night tent camping with my pup at this site and loved it. The site was spacious, private, peaceful and scenic. I especially loved all of the oak trees. I would definitely go back!

Weekend Trip to Campo Nopalito
We had such a nice time at Nopalito Farms! We were celebrating a birthday and the little cabin definitely didn’t disappoint. The common areas and bathroom didn’t just add a layer of comfort but actually helped make it a really nice experience as well. Looking forward to staying again in the winter.

What an extremely memorable experience. The animals are adorable. My wife spent almost an hour just enjoying petting goats, a donkey, a horse. As we were settling for the night, the camp dog came and hung out for a bit. The morning as we cleaned up, like 30 goats, showed up, took whatever edible thing was visible and disappeared. All within like 2 minutes lol Random chaos
The bathrooms were clean. The shower we used, I liked it. The heater was broken? But the water, to me, was still nice.
It was peaceful. The spot we found with the Oak Grove was isolated. Couldn’t see any other campers. I will bring a table next time though.
Stars are beautiful, the area around the actual grounds is a bunch beautifully gardened homes.
There’s a river with a sandy 1 mile hike close by

I loved staying at Granite Gulch private little site, with a table and fire pit. Not a far walk from the showers and bathrooms. And not too far from camp shop and the Goat!! Might definitely want to bring some ant spray

I stayed at T-Rex Creek and was honestly not expecting the site to be so small. It worked out for me though since I was solo camping but I think it would be a tight fit for more than 2 people, maybe 2 little kids would be okay. My 4 person cabin tent barely fit on the tent pad area. It might be better for car camping or roof tents.
The campsite itself was clean, quiet and private which was great. The property was gorgeous and really big. There are many areas with beautiful views. The goats were also so cute and was happy to see them walking past my campsite.
Overall, I would stay here again but would probably choose a different site.
