Whether you choose a campsite closer to the amenities or opt for the tranquility of Camp 4, rest assured that you'll have access to electricity. While the dog motel may occasionally add a touch of canine charm to the soundscape, I'm confident that the overall experience at my Hipcamp will be an enjoyable one. Recently our guests enjoyed a trip to Fraser Island and were very impressed with the service provided. So if you love your fur baby and you still want to have a holiday experience, just come and stay here and we can enhance your stay by giving your fur babies a holiday too. Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you". Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace and serenity.

Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Fire pits and picnic areas make the sites perfect for evening relaxation with bird life and jumping fish, talking about the day's fishing or eating the day's crab catch. Limited firewood is sometimes available. It can be bought at a reasonable price about 9km along the road towards Burrum Heads.. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. Whether you choose a campsite closer to the amenities or opt for the tranquility of Camp 4, rest assured that you'll have access to electricity. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Arrival after dark is by prior arrangement only as we have no lighting on the farm. We are 10 minutes from Hervey Bay and 10 minutes from the K'Gari (Fraser Island) barge that leaves from River Heads. and only 10 minutes drive to Hervey Bay's beautiful beaches We are building a productive, diverse permaculture farm incorporating a market garden, food forest and small volume egg production. From your campsite, on our farm block, you will have sensational views to K'Gari (Fraser Island) whilst being surrounded by 27 acres of bushland that is reserved for nature and registered with Land for Wildlife. Expect to see amazing colours at sunrise and sunset. Enjoy the many birds and animals that you will see as you spend time exploring our bush and farm. There's the added bonus of a range of fresh, organically grown produce to be harvested daily at a small extra cost. You will love the peace and quiet of our block and the huge array of wildlife that choose to call our place home. To preserve this tranquility, pets and rowdy groups are not suited to this camp site. You are welcome to camp in family and friendship groups. If camping in a group you can choose how closely to camp near each other. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Our names are Chris and Christine. We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River. Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you". Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace and serenity.

A perfect spot to explore the area and a jump off point for K'gari/Fraser Island. Amenities include: fire pit (bring your own wood), camp oven cooking pit, full BBQ kitchen in the fully powered shed with huge commercial fridge and running/drinkable water. The kitchen includes plates/bowls/cutlery/knives/mugs/glasses/frying pans/pots, there's a toaster/kettle/microwave, a big gas BBQ with a hotplate and BBQ utensils/tongs etc. There's also camp ovens and a jaffle iron. Guests can also enjoy access to an outdoor bathroom with a shower, toilet and a beautiful claw footed bathtub! Pets are welcome, but the yard is only partially block fenced. So any escape artists would have an easy time absconding. Only a 10 min drive to Tin Can bay and 15 mins to Rainbow Beach - and a Woolworths/bakery/bottle shop 5 mins down the road. THINGS TO CONSIDER: Unfortunately we can only accommodate tent/camper trailer bookings and not large motorhomes or towed caravans of any kind. Our property is situated on the banks of the great sandy strait just 400m from the Tuan Boat ramp with access to Fraser Island by boat or kayak. We are surrounded by Tuan State Forest and wetlands. There is a medium sized dam on the property for swimming.The Tuan Forshore has a park, BBQ area and picnic tables as well as garbage disposal. There is plenty of space in the surrounding forests for mountain biking, motor-biking and walking. 3km down the road in Boonooroo you will find a large park with tennis court and public BBQ's. The bowls club and Golf Club just 3km away and serve meals on weekends. This site is suitable for caravans, RV's, camper trailers. There is NO toilet facility on the property. We are VERY dog friendly and can be off lead as long as the dogs are friendly towards people and other dogs and don't bite our horses. We also have other peoples horses agisting in paddocks. Activities you can do include boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, crabbing, walking, stand up paddle boarding, bird watching, kangaroo spotting, playing in the parks, beach tennis, mountain biking, hiking etc. Camp sites are far from the main house and other sites so you can have camp fires and play music, use generators without worry. Campers will need to be self contained (rubbish and toilets) and please leave your campsite the way you found it. Don't leave toilet paper or rubbish in fire pits please. Enter / Exit the main gate by pushing the code into the key pad. Gate closes after 20 seconds once it is fully open so be quick. NOTE: ***During Summer- November, December, January and February there are midgees (sandflies) at dusk and dawn and we do recommend midgee screening or spraying the mesh on your caravan windows as the standard mozzie mesh will not keep them out. Bring coils, a fan as they hate any breeze, bug spray and long sleeved pants and tops to wear in the evenings from about 5pm-7pm!*** *4X4's are recommended if you don't stay along the fence line as it can get muddy if there has been lots of rain. If you stay along the fence line you will be fine as the roads are compact and hard and the camp sites along this fence are higher up, they are marked with Fire Pits so camp here if you want to stay dry and get a good breeze.*
