Childers Creekside Campsite.
We had a great time, all the sites were well maintained and private.
I was really relaxing, but you could have fun kayaking or paddle boarding on the dam, just a little cold for us this time.
Because you get the whole area, it was perfect for the dogs to be off leash and they enjoyed the walking trails around the property.
We'll definitely be back.

Loved our stay. Beautiful country, a few mins from town, but very secluded camping, especially since the owners take one set of campers at a time. Fire pit and wood readily available which was so convenient. Area is well maintained, plenty of flat ground for the caravan and the drive in is in good condition with only a few small rough spots, but overall very passable and we took in a big van, plenty of room for access and to turn around. We had a visit from the owners when their dog decided to wander down when she could smell our breakfast and both the dog and her owner were very friendly and pleasant. This is not far from home for us, wi will definitely be our go to spot for when we want to get away from noise and other people and just enjoy nature. Limited phone service, that was a bonus for us, my husbands phone worked for the most part, but mine didn’t work much at all, but for those who want it, you will get service from not far away. Overall it your looking for a quiet, peaceful, and well maintained camping spot for some R&R without going way out to the sticks, this is it.

Had another relaxing time here. Dennis is a great host. Well looked after with walking tracks and nature to chill you out. We'll keep coming back to this spot.

Had the place to myself and it was wonderful, lovely hideaway, I liked that Dennis had planted some native trees . He was very helpful and friendly. Make sure you read any messages from him the night before arrival as important to find the place. 10/10

A great, quiet spot to camp. We enjoyed having the place to ourselves, the abundant birdlife on the waterways and the generously provided fire wood and fire pit. Phone reception was sketchy, but we prefer not to have it when camping. So close to the beautiful town of Childers that has anything you might need. Dennis was very welcoming and left us to it after introducing himself and offering local knowledge and how to find him if needed. Our pup loved being able to join us on this trip and there was abundant space.

Fabulous spot. Single camp spot with complete privacy, you can not see anyone else at all. The hosts were very nice people and not intrusive. Flat, plenty of turning room, extensive mowed paths, fire place with fire wood already in it. We will be back for sure, thank you for having us

What a lovely spot! It was very private and it was kept very clean with fresh mowed lawns too. There was firewood already there and instructions were very clear. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for one night and it was beautiful, plenty of walks and wildlife and very private. We had a fire as Dennis and Susan left plenty of firewood for us. I would highly recommend staying here.

Very private and secluded spot, on grass. Dennis was a great host brought plenty of firewood to last us as well. Childers 5 mins down road for anything and some great beaches to access within hours drive.
Creek and Dam not swimmable unfortunately but good for Dogs to dip in and out of.

Recently stayed 1 night. What a gem of a place. As there is only 1 site you have the place to yourself. So peaceful. Highly recommend to anyone who loves nature and silence. Plenty of walking tracks to check out the wildlife. Dennis came by to say hi and give me a rundown of the area. Very nice gentleman. I will definitely be back.

A fabulous stay alongside the creek with fire pits and wood provided to use. 2 spots to choose from with lovely grass everywhere. A few dips in the driveway/road in, but managed with a 22” van with lower clearance. Great directions and caring hosts, thanks Dennis and Sue for a great stay! Kayaks available to use on the dams and walking tracks across the property.

Dennis and Sue have carved out a lovely private spot on their land for visitors. Lots of options to pitch a tent or park an RV alongside the creek that is teeming with birdlife. They keep the grass mowed short with nice cleared trails to roam. There is a privacy tent for your toilet. There is a swing, a table with benches, a fire pit, and the site was stocked with wood. They offered the use of a paddle board and boat for the dam which would be wonderful in hot weather. Childers is a very short drive, and has an all the amenities you might need. 10/10. Thank you for having us!

Great Spot to Relax and Unwind

I am always hesitant on writing reviews as when you find a great spot you want to keep it a secret. However this is the second time my husband and I have been here. We had a quiet peaceful and relaxing weekend at Creekside. Oh where do I start with the most important Dennis is a wonderful host and nothing is to much trouble he comes down when you are settled to make sure everything it right. Dennis alway has the grass mowed there is a firepit always plenty of firewood, a picnic table and chairs, double hammock strung up under the shade of the trees also a swing for the kids and the big kids at heart. If you area bird watcher then this is the place for you plenty bird life. This property is 5mins from Childers, 30mins to Woodgate and 45mins to Bundaberg. You can hear the highway traffic in the distance. If you want a place just to yourself to relax unwind I would highly recommend Creekside. We love it here and will certainly be regulars. We left our footprints but left with memories.

Great private campsite. Lots of space for the dog to run around, a dam for the dog to swim in and well maintained walking paths. It was nice to have firewood on arrival, chairs and a picnic table set up and of course a lovely hammock. We will definitely be back.

Such a pretty spot by the creek. The place was immaculate. We loved all the mowed walking tracks around the property with the creek, billabongs and dams. Dennis and Susan were most welcoming, friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay for exploring the Childers region.

Absolutely incredible camp. The hosts are wonderful people who have created an immaculate oasis & delicious mangoes. Big fire pit & endless supply of firewood provided, along with a hammock in a shady set of trees. Several walking tracks to explore along the creekside & a cute little swing. I extended my stay twice on my first visit here because I didn't want to leave. Quick, easy drive to town if you need to stock up, want fresh coffee or a pub meal. Cannot recommend highly enough

Fantastic again. Peaceful, wildlife, mowed walks around the property. Dennis checked in when the storms were coming. Great host. Really like the improvements since last time, such as the hammock and chair with a view.
Great place to lose phone service and enjoy the natural surroundings that nature provides.

We spent New Year’s at Childers Creek Campsite, and it was such a great time! It was our dogs’ first time off-lead, and they had an absolute ball running around and exploring. We got a bit of rain and a storm on the first night, but honestly, it just made the trip even more fun. The creeks overflowed and made this awesome little swimming hole right by our campsite—like our own private spot to cool off.
The owner was amazing, checking in on us and keeping us updated with the weather, which was super helpful and made us feel really looked after.
The campsite itself was so peaceful, with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the fresh air. It’s such a great spot, especially if you’ve got dogs who love a bit of adventure.
We’ll definitely be back, rain or shine!

Just bloody brilliant! Was private and peaceful, the dogs absolutely loved it too. Great location, close to Childers town and half an hour from Woodgate beach (amazing, highly recommend). Dennis and Sue were great hosts, so thoughtful and accommodating . Will definitely be back. Thanks so much!

Felt very private. Loved the fact that it's only 1 booking at a time. Host came down when we got there to say Hello and tell us about the property, than didn't see Him again.
All walking tracks plus the campsite was mowed at a nice level.
Definitely will return.
