Great spot right on the waters edge. Swim, fish and relax.
My son had a heap of fun and enjoyed playing with the others kids.
Sites well space and not too many.
Tracey and her partner, were absolutely amazing. I got totally lost as I over shot the turn and Tracey was very patient with me explaining how to get to there place. Once arrived it was absolutely stunning, everything was well maintained and beautifully set up. I will absolutely will be gping again and I was able to use the SPB in the Marry River with no problems. Was a magical 3 days.

This was a lovely spot very clean clean toilets firewood for sale can and bottle drop off sites are big if you want a bit more privacy sites 5-6-7 would be the go if family 2-3 for just veiws on top off the hill owner very nice and contacts were really easy i will be back but ill pick site 5 we had 3 we spent 5 nights there
I love camping here. This is our third time. With so many hip camps to choose from, we always come back here. No showers, which is fine as we have our own, but there is a very clean porta-loo. It is a very tranquil spot on the Mary River and it is fresh water so it doesn’t flow upside down here. Have a kayak/paddle board as there are lots of exploring to do and in the warmer months you will see the rare and protected Lung Fish. Highly recommended this place

We loved our camping at Blue Gum River Retreat! Right on the water amazing views was perfect spot to launch the boat. The stars and the wildlife were amazing and the amenities were kept super clean we will definitely be back 😊

Beautiful aspect on the Mary River. Good size sites with fire pits. Lovely hosts and lots of cows around the property giving the rural vibe. Handy toilet if you're not self contained which was clean. Pontoon for launching kayaks was excellent and can be fished from (fresh water).
Would thoroughly recommend for a 2 to 5 nights stay.
Such a pristine spot. Beautifully maintained and very big sites with fires. It was a shame it rained on us.

What a great Hipcamp! Beautiful, peaceful spot right on the Mary River with lovely grassy sites and plenty of room to relax. Such a nice place to sit back by the water and enjoy the surroundings.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Blue Gums River Retreat. We’ll be back! 🌿🔥🚐

Spent a very relaxing 5 days at Blue Gums. Can highly recommend. Big camp sites each with their own firepit. Good slipway and jetty. Lots of bird life. Despite the cold weather managed to catch a couple of decent bass. A couple of porta loo’s a welcome addition. Plenty of excellent firewood available. Tracey a very attentive host.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely camp site right on the river which was spacious and private. Our host Tracey was really helpful with all our requests. We would happily return in the future.
Beautiful well maintained and very large sites. All were full this trip yet still felt very private. Access to the Mary River easily from all camps.
Tracey is a very accommodating and friendly host who keeps a fantastic camp. Would recommend 100% and will definitely be back.
I highly recommend this Hipcamp! The campsites are mowed, level, and very well maintained, with a firepit at every site and firewood available at a very affordable price. The porta-toilets are always clean, the boat ramp is well maintained, and the river is perfect for kayaking and fishing.
Tracey is an amazing host who goes above and beyond to help campers whenever needed. This has got to be our new favourite place to relax and enjoy the outdoors - we’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely gorgeous camp site. Well maintained and well spaced out, clean toilet and beautiful view right on the river. Fire wood available at the camp site which was super handy as we needed a top up. Easy to find and well signposted. We will definitely be back!

We rate this hipcamp very highly. It is a great location for a base to explore the Tiaro, Hervey Bay and Maryborough areas. Blue Gums River Retreat is easy to find with very easy access on good roads. Sites are right beside the Mary River and offer perfectly maintained grassed sites a good distance apart. Boat ramp, jetty and fire pit areas are of high quality and well maintained as are the toilets. Tracey is a lovely host and is excellent with communication. If you need sun for solar request an open site, if not the sites under the gum trees are lovely and shaded. 10/10

Lovely and roomy campsites relaxing on the river bank. Very clean and our host Tracey was very welcoming and friendly.
Very peaceful paradise. Stunning views well kept large grassy fields on the river bank. Loved the boat ramp and the pontoon was awesome. I really great hipcamp for a relaxing weekend
