Coming up on the last Sunday of May is the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival, it is always a great weekend for all. There are many wineries in the area to wine & dine, Boat Mountain has some great bushwalks & lookouts and the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail is great for those who enjoy a bike ride. Recently opened in Murgon is the fossil museum & fine art gallery, 55 Million Years Ago. On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset. We are a busy working property and horse training facility. Our business consists of backgrounding cattle, growing and irrigating of cattle feed and lucerne, as well as making hay. A huge 350 acres to explore where you will find waterways, billabongs, hills, dams, mango trees and more. Walk through the seasonal creek, easily accessed at the Mango Grove, and see a lot of Quartz and other rocks. While exploring you could find Kangaroos, Echidnas, Goannas and many bird and plant species. Did we mention Gin Gin is only about 15 minutes away? So there's no need to worry if you need more Ice or Food! And if your interested in a day getting wet, Paradise Dam is only 40 minutes away. The area does have some places that we do not allow visitors due to needing clearing and cleaning. Please be mindful to stay away from the areas with 'junk'. We are trying to clear the place to turn it into somewhere magical and we appreciate your understanding until this occurs. It is a beautiful place and the price is currently low due to all of the ongoing work we are doing at the location.

We have 100 acres of paradise with many sites to choose from, either along our 300m of Burnett river frontage or along the winding Duingal creek tucked into seclusion. For the bigger vans we have sites up on top of the property overlooking the Burnett with just a short walk down to the water. There are NO Ammenities available so own toilet is a MUST! Bring your fishing rods, kayaks and walking shoes. There's some great fishing here including barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained! Don’t have a kayak, no worries. We also have kayaks available for hire. We also have the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets here, with beautiful birdlife including hawks and water eagles. Great for bird watching and photography! All campsites have access to the water unless we are advised per booking. Less than 5km down the road you will find Wallaville where there is a great local Wallaville pub, and a corner store that offers great pizza. Telstra is available for communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and around 50km from Bundaberg. Campfires permitted in the designated areas only, bring your own fire pit when possible as we have a limited number of fire pits available. when fire restrictions/bans are not in place. Plenty of fallen timber around the place to collect for firewood. Loved our stay at Timber Mill Station even though the weather wasn’t as kind as it could have been. The camping area is huge so you can get as close to or as far away from the amenities and other campers as you would like. The caretaker Jane was friendly and helpful - even dropping us over some firewood to start us off. There is an abundance of firewood available. The property has many walking tracks - would also suit mountain biking. Would recommend to anyone seeking a quiet relaxing time or to bigger groups who wanted to camp together.

We loved our stay at Timber Mill Station . A very spacious private bush camp. Lovely clean amenities and nice hot showers . Plenty of firewood on offer, would recommend taking your own saw. Enjoyed the Wallaby walking track through the bush. Caretaker Jane is fantastic. Highly recommend this camp and will visit again.

Loved our time here, we were lucky enough to be the only campers here at the time, enjoyed the no mobile reception and totally relaxed. Had a bit of a paddle with our kayaks absolutely not one complaint. 100% will be back

Weekend Trip to TIMBER MILL STATION

Fantastic spot, lots of level campsites in peaceful bush surrounds. The hosts really have thought of everything, the camp kitchen was stocked with everything you need, the amenities block was spotless and included an under cover area to hang your towel to dry after your shower, they even have a dump point on site which is very convenient. Close to Mt Walsh national park where there are some great bushwalks not to mention the Utopia Pools. In the words of the great Arnold Schwarzenegger "I will be back"

Nice quiet camp. We had it to ourselves. Heaps of fire wood. $10 p/n. Could ask for much more. Just a note, there was very little water in the creek/waterholes when we came through.

Weekend Trip to Circles In The Forest bush camp

We loved how well the camp was set up. The toilets and shower (hot water) are unique and very cool. The fireplaces are well designed and supplies of firewood are close by. The kitchen, congregation area (Lapa) and pool are of a high standard. We’ll definitely be back to Circles, our new favourite camping spot.

Walked up the short, fairly steep hill from the carpark to the picnic table at the top. The crater was filled with water after recent rains. Beautiful views to Mt Walsh and farmlands.
