Tawah Retreat is a peaceful rural escape, on a working cattle property, where you can slow down and enjoy the simplicity of country life. This is a place we’ve shared with family and friends for years, creating many special memories, and we’re excited to now open it up to others. Located near the small township of Dallarnil (limited amenities), Biggenden is just a 15–20 minute drive for groceries and supplies. A highlight of the property is the nearby creek and waterhole, just a short walk from the camping area—perfect for a swim or a quiet moment by the water. The camping area is a large, level grassy space surrounded by trees, offering plenty of room to spread out with a mix of sun and shade. It’s fully fenced off from the cattle and well maintained. Amenities include two flushing toilets, two bush (drop) toilets, two gas hot showers, plus off-grid solar lighting, a fridge, and power points. The covered camp kitchen features a large shared table, sink, gas stovetop, oven, and serving area, along with a communal firepit for outdoor cooking. There are also 3 large fire braziers on wheels suitable to generate warmth and to cook over. You can book the entire camping area for a private group stay, or choose from up to five individual sites—each spaced well apart to ensure plenty of room and privacy. We’re dog-friendly, but as this is a working cattle farm, dogs must be kept under control or on a lead at all times. Tawah Retreat is push bike friendly for children and adults. There are also plenty of walking tracks.

The campsites are spread across a large, open camping area—offering plenty of space to relax while still enjoying your own privacy. Each site accommodates up to 5 guests, with generous room between sites so you won’t feel crowded. Set on a spacious, level grassy field surrounded by trees, you’ll have the flexibility to choose a spot with sun or shade, while still enjoying your own quiet corner of the property. The setting is peaceful and remote, ideal for unwinding in nature with the comfort of thoughtful amenities nearby. Guests have access to off-grid power to the communal shed, along with two flushing toilets, two pit toilets, and hot showers. Shared cooking facilities include a communal firepit and a well-equipped camp kitchen with a large oven, stovetop, fridge, sink, servery, tables, chairs, and more. There’s also a large shed providing extra sheltered space for relaxing, games, or activities, plus a playground to keep the kids entertained. If you are a large group and would prefer the whole area to yourselves, please book the Exclusive Group Site option.

This option is for larger groups looking to book the entire camping area for a private stay. It comfortably accommodates up to 50 guests and 10 vehicles, with flexibility for bigger groups on request. An ideal setting for bringing people together—whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying quality time with family and friends. The camping area features a spacious, level grassy field surrounded by trees, offering a mix of sun and shade throughout the day. Tucked away in a quiet, remote location, the site includes off-grid power to the shed, along with two flushing toilets, two pit toilets, and hot showers for added comfort. Guests can make use of a range of cooking facilities, including a communal firepit and a well-equipped camp kitchen with a large oven, stovetop, fridge, sink, servery, tables, chairs, and more. There’s also a large shed providing additional sheltered space—perfect for relaxing, group activities, or games—as well as a playground to keep the kids entertained.
