Site 4 was very large with lush grass and fairly flat so not only is it good for the caravan and tents but also for the kids games. Close to the river and town but still far enough away from the main stream of campers and noise that larger campgrounds bring. Definitely recommend this to those who are self sufficient.

The site is quite nice, next to a little river/creek. We can hear the river flowing and the birds. The site was next to the road but it is not too busy, we heard no traffic at night. Nice spot in the trees 🌲

Lovely overnight retreat in the far end of Whispering Pines! Had the place to ourselves and were pleased to find the site already had a built-in fire pit. Bit cold for swimming for us but our senior pup had a blast splashing in the beautiful creek. Jodie came by a couple times and was friendly and helpful. There was a fair amount of road noise but it eventually quieted down into the evening. Overall a great place for an escape, looking forward to coming back and exploring the area more. Thanks Jodie!

We enjoyed our camp here. Very peaceful, the sound of the running water and birds was amazing. Jody was a lovely host and went out of her way to accommodate us to find a suitable sight for our tent. There is beautiful swimming holes around the area but the weather was not on our side, will have to ho back to enjoy that.

It's 25 acres of koala protected bush. Camping is on grassy areas amongst the trees, this is basic bush camping suited to fully self sufficient campers. Our block is completely off grid, there is no power or water. Listen to the birds, including the beautiful whip birds Look for koalas and other wildlife: quails, ducks, birds, kangaroos, deer (our property is koala protected bush. Wildlife must not be disturbed). Under a minute drive to local creek and swimming hole. A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area. 15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery). 20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun. Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are About a 15 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

You can bring your own firewood from local service stations or other sources to be used in the firepit. Bring your hiking gear, your mountain bike and definitely bring your camera as the views are stellar. The craggy peaks of the Glass House Mountains tower above the surrounding landscape. They are so significant that they are listed on the Queensland and National Heritage Register as a landscape of national significance. Walking tracks lead through a variety of open forests to lookouts with panoramic views of the mountains. Some tracks are suitable for all levels of fitness and others include more challenging grades including rock scrambling skills. There are other challenging summit routes and climbing sites for experienced rockclimbers and abseilers. Or you might want to pull up a hammock and just laze the day away.

Purchased in 2022, the property is slowly being returned to her former glory as a stunning tree lined, creek haven teeming with wildlife, flora and bird life. What we offer- 1. Enclosed Kids Space, very very tame sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys n geese and a jumping castle onsite which is open 9am to 2pm daily. (Note: campers can use for free) 2. Our licenced cafe onsite is open from 7am and serves delicious coffee, breakfasts, lunches, cold beer and on Friday nights - fish n chips! Got a group? We can make dinner for you with notice. Want a cold beer while the kids play in the kids space? We have it here for you. 3. Your camping area creek side is for tent camping only. The sites are a metre from the tree lined creek edged with giant granite boulders and water running most of the year. Cross the sandy creek bed by 4wd to unpack your tent and set up. Your car can be parked safely next to it. 4. Have a pop top? Then we have spaces in a more public space next to a narrow creek spot depending on your size. 5. What else? We have a shower n toilet located a short walk from your site via torch light or bring your own portable toilet. Town water is available as well. 6. Tennis court available to play on or for the kids to run on. Just book a time with us when you are here. We charge $20 an hour. Please note that we are next to a road and as such, you will have some road noise so as much as the location is highly convenient if you want absolute silence, this is not the place for you.

Hunchy Hills 4WD Bush Camping

Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. No caravans sorry, too steep and tight. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure and best with max 2 people. We have a backup spot too if access is too difficult. Go fishing at Baroon Pocket Dam and have a swim at Obi Obi Creek or Kondalilla Falls or Gardeners Falls. If you're after some saltwater it's a 30 min drive to most beaches on the coast.

Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with AT or MT off-road Tyres, RT Tyres are not permitted due to the steepness of the tracks. A Portaloo is located between the Ocean View 1 and 2 sites and a second Portaloo is located centrally and within walking distance to The Knoll, Upper Plateau, Valley View and Little Bunya campsites. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we haveguest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. Maya Nature Park has recently built amenities including two hot showers and two toilets for your convenience. We are located on 15-20 minutes from the popular Eumundi Markets, 40 minutes to Noosa beach and National Park and only 10 minutes from the popular Kenilorth bakery. Kenilorth also has a convenience store, pub and delicious pizzas as well as the beautiful Mary river. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times to protect our wildlife and cattle.

4WD accessibility only. The only exception to the 4WD accessibility is the 'Dam at the Rustic Resort' as it has a separate entry gate. If wet, please engage 4WD and stay out of the ruts. We are a 90acre private property who raise cattle and goats and have opened up to campers who, like us, prefer and love peace and nature. We have all of our sites on Booking request ( Reserve). Please check that you are ok with our property rules before you book. If you are one of our valued regulars, thank you, we love hosting you on the property and always look forward to see you again. If your preferred site is not available , shoot us a message , we may have an alternative for you:) Our rules are really not rocket science, don't take things that are not yours, use the toilets instead of our bush, don't cut down trees or damage things, that includes damaging trees, don't leave anything but ash in the firepit ,make sure the fire is fully extinguished, remove your rubbish and respect and consider your fellow campers and our neighbours. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away.
