All UPDATES/NOTES listed below are in answer to common questions we are asked - please read all before requesting a booking, especially the need to confirm your 4WD status and camping platform at time of booking request. Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV. See Extras for booking park and ride option if your vehicle is 2WD. UPDATE as of early August 2026 - the creek is dry.. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills. Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon. Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal. NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors, single-night bookings and late check ins (after 6pm). These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted. NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately. NOTE: Each site has a stand alone camping toilet bucket, located behind a small shade cloth screen near your camp site. You’ll have a seat to sit on, a lid to close, and the need to throw some Leaves and grass in each time you go.

A small pad capable of only handling a small tent or a couple of swags. There is a small swag sized platform, and limited flat ground. This is one of our original sites, high up on the property boundary with spectacular views to the East and total seclusion (except from the keenest fellow campers keen to make the walk to check out your view). Access is via a steep 4WD only track that requires confident turnaround on a steep slope. Located 50m uphill from Grassy Spur 3.

You will have sole occupancy of The Penthouse site - where our HipCamp hosting journey began, after constructing an outdoor deck in the forest during COVID lockdown! Flat deck 3m x 3m ideal for swags/ gazebo dining. Small flat pad for a 2-3 man tent. Space for other tents on some slope. Access for towed camper trailers is through tree line track. Campers will require leveling. Can be co-booked with Forest Deck 2 for extra capacity.

Open grassy paddock, usually mown. Grassy Spur 1 is the broadest, flattest location providing ample space for any tent/trailer setup. Ideal for larger groups by arrangement. You may end up sharing the spur line with other campers if booked. Spacing of 15-20 metres plus can be achieved between sites.

Located 30m off our creek line access track, this secluded site is accessible just before having to navigate the uphill 4WD track that leads to Grassy Spur and the Forest. NOTE: You will be Camping on an old track cutting, vehicle-width, relatively flat for small tents/gazebos and end fold campers. You are slightly elevated above the creek line, and creek access involves a fence crossing and a 50m cross slope hike with a little bush bashing at the end.

Small dodgy platform on top of a sloping area. One of the worse camp sites I’ve stayed at. They cannot seriously call this a camp site. It’s one uneven platform which they’ve tried to put on a pretty steep slope. Cooking, sitting, sleeping all made difficult with such a steep slope. To make it worse the platform doesn’t fit our double stretcher so we can to use bricks from the fire pit to make a make do site

Swagman Heights
Generous, friendly hosts with a large and very hilly property. Several sites look quite nice, but some, like Swagman Heights, are quite difficult to access even with high clearance 4wd. My car actually started to slide down the hill at the site due to how steep the track was. The advertised “Toilet facilities” are just a bucket for your site, which may put some people off. The platform for a swag is also only a single size, so double swags won’t fit. Lovely wildlife in the area, as well as not so lovely, and several ticks decided to come home with me.

Had a great two night stay at Kobble creek family farm this week. Met Marcaus on the way in, such a lovely man. So keen to give lots of details/instructions/help if we needed it. He also recommended a different spot from what we booked and he was right!! The site is definitely 4wd only like it is described, but we brought a camper trailer in, slow and steady with no dramas. The site is great, had so much privacy and such a short drive to dayboro for lunch. We’ve already said we’d like to try another one of the sites in the near future. Having such a great campsite so close to home for quick getaways is a huge win!

I it’s exxy but you understand why once you go. You need a 4wd to go here. I camped at the Forrest dam, there were many frogs at night and few mosquitoes. Overall pretty nice place, old mate even gives you a shitter.

What a beautiful spot!! We planned a last minute trip here and it really was spectacular. A 4x4 is a must for this camp site - bonus that its dog. We will definitely be back, Marcus’s was such a welcoming host. 10/10 spot 🏕️🔥

We absolutely loved the secluded feel of this place, it truly felt like we were a world away, yet still so close to home. Bush camping not too far from Brisbane 🤩 We’ve stayed here twice now and absolutely loved it both times. We’ll definitely be back! A beautiful, peaceful spot with a genuine bush camping feel, yet still an easy drive from Brisbane. The host family were fantastic: incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Highly recommend

Owner met us at the gate upon arrival and was very nice. Showed us to our campsite (4wd accessible) and the camp sites were very private. If you’re looking for bush camping on a single site well this is the place to go. Had a great time!

Great spot close to Brisbane and lovely hosts. Tracks can be a little slippery in the wet depending on your tires. Kids loved going hunting for the goats and the plenty of places to play. Would definitely come back.
