Right on the beautiful Mary River, we offer overnight a range of camping options. **We have plenty of spacious, shady and level RV and tent sites. Many are waterfront on the clean, spring fed lagoon. **Dogs have plenty of space to run and swim off leash. **Fire pits, wood and our kayaks are provided free. *** we can hire out 5L portable flush toilets. They have a proper seat and includes cleaning. $20 per day **Private river access for swimming, fishing, gold panning/ fossicking and paddling. Riverbend is a working, historic farm from 1886. It boasts magnificent views as we are on the hilltop and the sunsets are unforgetable. Private, level sites with good shade. We are a working farm which offers a variety of activities 9 HOLE GOLF COURSE ( we have clubs and balls or bring your own) Try our fabulous sunset course. 1200m CROQUET - fun for all ages Fshing - mostly bass, perch, catfish, tilarpia Swimming - in the river, rock pools, small rapids or in our big lagoon Paddling- the beautiful Mary River offers a variety of paddling experiences. Yabby catching - traps or meat on a string in the big lagoon Fossicking and panning for gold - in the river. TRAIL BIKES - kids with no bigger than 50cc welcome but must ride in designated area under full parental supervision. For adults there are huge state forests next door with fantastic trails as will as the sand trails in the enormous pine forests close by. PARTY SHED - if you wish to have a bit of a party, band, get together etc we have a pretty groovy 100 year old shed for hire.

Very quiet lovely open rolling green fields, lots of flat areas, the dam was lovely and warm for swimming or kayaking and the river walk on the river side was very pretty. Internet service was very hit and miss couldn't monitor the storm activity

Fantastic Aussie bush property on the Mary river, plus a spring fed lake with beautiful water. The mornings were great foggy cool mornings , the weather had been dry for a whole Le so the grass was getting hard and dry, the horses are beautiful and love a pat. Playing golf on the makeshift gym of coarse was a bit of fun with the boys. The only problem we had was someone on an adjacent property was having what they called a party to all hours of the morning so you could just hear the bass till 7am, but that can happen anywhere. Would go again.

Fantastic spot with plenty to do for all ages, kiddos loved being able to head down to the river and a fish. Refreshing dip in the dam with a massive flat area. Great time had by all

Amazing place to come with 3 little kids. Woke up to beautiful horses which the whole family loved. The river was absolutely stunning to swim in and the kids caught some bass also whilst walking up to the rapids was priceless. It was a total fire ban and wasn't Vanessa's fault and camping without a fire sux but realistically you don't need one here which was weird for us 😆 and awesome at the same time. You can golf here also and had full phone reception . Lagoon offered free kayaking. Totally recommend and definitely will return in the near future.

We stayed at Lagoon site 5 with our caravan. Beautiful level sites with plenty of room in between. Highly recommend staying here.

We camped in a camper Trailer at Lagoon site 1 for 2 nights it was very relaxing and peaceful great location and Hosts were very friendly and helpful would recommend this Camping spot and will be back

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. The hospitality was amazing and the campground was absolutely gorgeous the whole place would as just breathe taking, natural spring fed lake, river access , 9 hole golf course, kayaks and you even get fire wood supplied . Ian and Vanessa and of course Sasha the Dalmatian were so friendly and courteous. We are definitely returning back here

Great spot for a large group. Lovely grassed level site. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Supplied firewood was a bonus. Look forward to returning in the warmer months to swim in the Lagoon.

Needed a recharge weekend after some hectic times. This is THE place to chill and do as much or little as you want. Sites are flat and easy to get onto, plenty of space (even though we were only campers this weekend). Access by 2wd no problem. The hospitality is awesome. Fire wood delivered to site (free), some great chats with owners (and their puppy-Sasha) and plenty of local knowledge on a farm / creek walk. Would be a great spot for an extended group or multiple vans / families. Definitely on our "TO RETURN" list.

We had peaceful and secluded camp-site. Our host couldn't have been more helpful. Horses in the paddocks with us.... lovely. 9 hole home made golf course added in with cost of camp-site... added bonus... fantastic. Highly recommend

Our little family loved tent camping here, so peaceful and relaxing. Few different things to do with kiddies which makes it more of special place to visit. Vanessa is an amazing host, all the animals were friendly as. Already planning a trip back because we enjoyed it so much.

We stayed 3 nights could have stayed longer the kids loved the freedom to ride their bikes around, jumping off the jetty and kayaking in the lagoon, exploring the river, playing golf and so much history on the property as well. Vanessa Ian and Errol were all so lovely and welcoming the horses are super friendly as well.

Great little location. Options to camp near the lagoon or by the river. Hosts were very friendly and the horses even more so (woken at midnight to find them under our awning and checking everything out!). More than enough firewood provided. Noise from the road nearby was a bit loud at times during the day but once the sun set, most of the traffic disappeared and everything became very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely consider it for a return visit at sometime in the future

We walked in the river, panned flour gold, caught and cooked yabbies, patted the beautiful horses, jumped in the lake and paddled the kayaks. A great experience for myself and my boys.

The place was nice and flat by the lagoon and enjoyed the kayaks on offer. The horses roaming about and learning all about them was a real highlight. Ian and Vanessa were so friendly and were quick to replenish our firewood when asked (we like a big roaring fire). The drawback for us was the road noise as it was so close to the road. Also we really needed internet and it was pretty intermittent.

Stayed on Lagoon site 5 We had the best time. Site was level & property was very well kept. Our host was very accommodating & friendly right from check in. They showed us around their beautiful property & their horses roam freely amongst camper’s & loved the pats & especially the apples. We will be back Highly recommended Riverbend for a getaway. Riverbend camping is a beautiful spot in Gundiah. Hubby and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ian was wonderful showing us the Mary River near his property and sharing some of the history surrounding that area. Would absolutely recommend a stay at Riverbend. Thanks Ian and Vanessa

We had such a lovely stay at this camping spot! The grounds were beautifully grassy and well-maintained, perfect for setting up and relaxing. It was peaceful and quiet — just what we needed to unwind. The hosts were absolutely wonderful — welcoming, helpful, and made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a serene camping experience. We’ll be back for sure!

Great open space down by the lagoon. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Not far from the Gundy Pub for a good old fashioned pub meal. It is near road but didn't really notice the traffic and very quiet at night.

Great spot. Started with a tour from a funny old fella in his vehicle around the property. Stayed by the lagoon instead of the river spot. Place was mowed and tidy. Would recommend

Very well maintained grounds. Plenty of room, level grassy sites overlooking the lagoon. Lagoon was good for a swim plus there are a couple of kayaks to use. Free firewood was a good touch.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Open paddock with lots of space to accomodate groups. The kayaking and golf was fun and we had a visit from the friendly horses.
