This is a fabulous spot and I've been here several times. This time it was super full (multiple families sharing a lot of sites) and I don't think there was a camp host this time - there was a lot of dog poop on my site from a previous visitor, and my current neighbor had 3 dogs, max is 2, and had amplified music, also not allowed here. The dogs weren't the problem but the human constantly yelling at them to "shut up" and "knock it off" was a downer, as was the human smacking his kid several times, and ensuing shrieking. Sometimes you're going to get that neighbor, but a camp host might have helped.

My family and I camped for a few days on site A9 at Finnon Lake. The site was uneven as mentioned, but we were able to set up camp as comfortably as possible. The sites were spacious enough to fit our van with our trailer, canopy over the picnic table, chairs around the fire pit, and a couple tents waterside. While the water access wasn’t directly on our site, we were able to access it through the site to the right of us no problem. The water was perfect temperature and clean (small pebbles to walk on barefoot and mostly clear water). The site didn’t have it’s own water spigot, but there was one across the way from us near another site, that we used, and a couple near the bathroom. The campground and bathrooms we kept clean, which was really nice. The bathrooms have a light, sinks with soap and paper towels, and flushable toilets. Near the bathroom were the garbage and recycling bins, within walking distance of all sites. If you are in need of wood and ice, there is some wood sold by the arms full for $10 at the entrance by the restaurant as well as ice in the restaurant for $2.50 a bag (if it’s closed, just contact the host and she will drive down to help). Lastly, one of my favorite things about the site was the trail that looped around the lake, where you can also play some of the disc golf courses. I loved discovering the dock, many blackberry brambles (they were delicious), and wildlife (I sited the bald eagle in its nest feeding its chicks, a fox, hare, and a frog)!

Beautiful location and the site was well maintained. The bathrooms were cleaned well and the provided bucket for the fire pit was a nice extra. Also recommend the restaurant on the way in food was amazing

The campground was beautiful and we loved it!
The camp host was very responsive with issues we had as well. But the issues were the dogs... Two separate camps completely ignored the dogs on leash rule. The first had a dog that chased and terrified my 8 year old. The second was very rude when we asked them several times to leash their dog. They kept insisting that they would, but basically denied their dog was in our camp (it was) and seemed to think that a leashed dog didn't require a person holding it.
If it was just one group I would have dismissed it as just them, but it seemed to be what people did there. I don't personally mind dogs that are under control of their owners, but I don't want them near my little kids!

T18 - Laguna Landing
we rested on the Laguna Landing (T18). It is simply a wonderful, quiet and calm place. We booked for 3 nights, there is a barbecue for meat, toilets and drinking water. The sites are spacious, each site is very good in its own way, close to the water. The water was warm for swimming. We will definitely go again 100%. 👍👍👍There are places for fishing. 👍👍👍

Finnon Lake is a fantastic place for some solitude, wildlife sightings, and time on/in the water.
Site T14 has privacy on all sides, its own small lake launch area, sun and shade areas throughout the day, and super clean restrooms within a short walk.
We saw deer, bald eagles (and an eaglet just fledging the nest), wild turkeys, and a lake full of jumping fish.
We highly recommend Finnon Lake-especially site T-14!

We loved camping on Finnon’s land! The place was quiet and clean. Toilets were spotless and just a few steps away from the tents. The kids had a great time. The lake water was pleasantly warm, which made swimming extra fun. The road to this wonderful place is a bit adventurous and goes through hilly terrain, but it's absolutely worth it. If you decide to come, plan to stay as long as possible — you won’t regret it!

We love Finnon lake campground! This was our second time and it was another amazing camping trip! The weather was perfect! What made it even better this time was being able to see the bald eagle's nest from our camp spot and seeing the baby bald eagle was awesome!

There is in fact little shade for most of the day. The ground is slightly unlevel but it is the largest site the campground has to offer and you'll have no problem setting up multiple tents. You're very close to the water and the bathroom (no I didn't smell anything bad). Picnic table and grill onsite as well.

The campsite was extremely clean and well kept with a gorgous lake. The bathrooms and conveniently located drinking water spigots were very good (and I low-key wish I could take some water back with me). The property is quiet and secluded to get a good break from everything. Natasha, one of the volunteers, went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time and we really appreciate her! Would love to return.

We love this campground and campsite. No fireworks allowed during 4th of July is what started us going there since our dog was scared of fireworks. She has passed and we now have our boy who isn't bothered by them so we now plan our trips midweek. The only thing I would like to see is the hosts swing by a little more often but to make sure all dogs are on leash although they do respond quickly if you text a complaint. Already booked out trips for next year.

I’ve been to Finnon Lake a few times since I joined HipCamp. The view and serenity of the lake are amazing, the campsite especially the restrooms are well maintained, and the seclusion makes me feel safe. It’s one of my preferred places to visit, kick back and enjoy nature.

By far, one of the best camping places I have been! Small so there weren’t too many people, but still really great campers in near us. other kids to entertain mine but not a huge gaggle. The water was beautiful and warm and calm, so safe for the kids. It was so magical, watching the bald eagles, nest, and watching them fishing in the lake.! The bullfrogs sing you to sleep at night. The views of the sky are gorgeous. This will definitely be at least an annual spot if not more often for us.

We had an amazing 1st trip surrounded by a camp full of friends the kids enjoyed the lake by kayaking and swimming and riding their bikes around camp! We will be back!! Our site has the best view of the lake but also close to the bathrooms and lots of shade throughout the day!

Had a great time at this little hide away lake. Clean bathrooms, Quiet, water front lake site are perfect. If you want to relax, swim, kayak this is your spot. No motor boats allowed.

Great location right next to the lake. Mosquitos weren’t bad, but I would consider taking bug spray or a net just in case. You can walk around the lake, and it was wonderful to swim in.

A12 - Lake View Pine Meadow
Finnon Lake is a unique place. A private lake and 27 holes of epic disc golf that plays a course laid out around the lake. Every two years we visit here for 2-5 days. It is the little things that make it special. The birds, the flaring Jeffry Pine cones and the best camp neighbors.

The site was very clean and well taken care of.
The scenery was also very beautiful. The eagles who live in a tree by the lake were really cool to see and the wildlife growing in the lake was also really cool. There were lots of cool plants and fish and dragon flies. The lake itself was really warm and peaceful to paddle board over.
