The price of camping includes the Ranch experiences of feeding the animals and collecting eggs. Our property is great for children! We have a trampoline, a tree house, a large livestock water trough that we use as a kiddie pool in summer, a great swing set, and room to play.
We live on a quiet 10 acre property with trees that provide some shade, and all of our sites are near the horse pastures. You might hear horses nickering and chickens clucking. There is lots of room to walk or run around. A Treehouse is available for kids to play in, a trampoline to jump on, plus we have a 17 foot high swing for kids and adults alike! You can walk the property to observe the horses, or sign up for a special horse, tractor, or welding experience.
Come camp in a very quiet and safe horse and farming area. We are near the end of a dead-end road. Our camping sites are somewhat private, some with more shade and others with more mid-day sun.
We specialize in "Horse Experiences" tailored to your level of comfort and needs. None of the horse experiences listed on our site require any prior experience with horses. We will make sure you are safe and comfortable while working with the horses.
*NOTE: Experiences are not available on Sundays (our sabbath day). We can fit them in on Saturday afternoon/evening for Saturday-night campers, or Monday morning for Sunday-night campers.
We have a private bathroom with flush toilet and sink.
Summertime brings hot days and (usually) cool nights to our area. It is not uncommon to experience 100 degree days in June, July and August. Most evenings cool down, thanks to the Delta Breeze, to around 60-70 degrees overnight. Wintertime brings cooler daytime temps (50-60 degrees) and colder night temps (30-40 degrees).
We are located about 10 minutes from the Galt area, which has a large variety of Fast-food, as well as several nicer restaurants. There is also a Wal-Mart (with groceries) and a nice Supermarket. We are about 6 miles from 2 country stores in Herald and Wilton (with gas station).
Sites accommodate up to 6 people, and you can add up to 2 more for an additional fee. If you need more than 8 people, then consider booking 2 or more sites.
With horses and the activities we do with them, dogs are not allowed.

Very remote off grid barn with an outhouse, vegetable garden, fruit trees, and small vineyard that I make wine from. There's a creek that runs through the property with Indian grinding holes. We also have volleyball, horseshoes, hiking trails, and much more!
You will be in gold country where you can still find gold in the creek to this day! If you're lucky, you might find a nugget, but there's mostly pickers and fines.
The nights are absolutely stunning for viewing the stars with no light pollution. You will have almost complete privacy, with the exception of an occasional over head aircraft. I have only one group at a time.

As a first time HipCamper, this was an amazing first trip. The land is beautiful, open and a bit wild. We pulled into Sawyers Bar #4 with a big rig without any trouble. The roads are well maintained and level. The camp area is very clean, weed whacked and spread out. We met Tom shortly after arriving and he was so interested in our needs and comfort on the ranch. We spent 3 nights and throughout all of it Tom would pop in now and then just to check in. As we are both curious people we asked him lots of questions and he was not only full of information but gave it freely and never seemed liked we were holding him up. The Sawyers bar area is 6 sites and it was mostly young families and quiet couples. The outhouses are well positioned and well maintained. We were impressed with how nice they were. The 2 near our site even had a sink and paper towels. The river was easily accessed from many paths with one main sandy beach area for all guests to share.
We loved it and highly recommend this spot.

Lovely property!! Went in April and was surprised to see the Oak Savanna campsite was full of green instead of dead weeds! The hosts were super friendly- ordered the firewood and got a ton (and it was nice and dry), and the chicken eggs! Lots of sweet animals on the property, and the sites are far from one another so you feel like you’re camping alone.
That said- someone else mentioned it- the dogs. Super sweet, loving pups, that adopted us, hung out with us the three days and two nights I was there. If you come with a dog- be forewarned- this is a much better spot for people who love dogs but don’t have one- or if you do have one it’s fine with being on leash while having other dogs hang out all day, and get in their face to smell. My dog gives one lip curl warning them snaps, so after the lip curl I had to put him in my camping van the rest of the day and night, and look for the time they weren’t around to let him out to go to the bathroom. Then the next day my parents visited, and I had them take my dog with them. So with that, ans the reason I book these trips is so my dog and I can enjoy quiet nature time together- I left a day early. The host was super apologetic and I get it- the dogs took us in as their pack and wanted to hang and protect us, which I would have loved were it not for the fact that I have a dog that prefers one on one time, I’d go again. I still try to think maybe there’s some way I can go again with my dog…
And make sure your car can do dirt roads.

We had a blast at Noleen’s! We had the whole place to ourselves which was great because the spots are a tad close to each other (like all campgrounds), so very happy to have our solitude and privacy! 2 days of beauty!
The swim hole is beautiful, we had a great time splashing around with the pup! Part of the way through splashing we were nervous about a big river otter that showed up in the water though, so please be aware and cautious. It seems to have a hole in the bank to the right of the rocks (Grew up in MT, know 2 people who were attacked by river otters)! It was really fun to sit back and watch once we knew it was there! Magical :)
This place was very nice, very quiet, Noleen was very accommodating and replied quickly to a question over text! We very much enjoyed staying here! Absolutely, book it and see for yourself! :)

Noleens land is so beautiful and their family and pup were sweet and welcoming! I got lost looking for the bathroom because I was reading the map wrong and her daughter was kind enough to walk me there.
The campsites are so close to the river. It’s not even any effort. They’re also large and spaced out. It’s true, the well water really does taste amazing I was honestly shocked haha.
The river had quite a strong Current, but me and the dogs found a great place to swim, which looks like one of the main entrances to the swimming hole. The river is accessible, and though there are no showers, I generally just boiled a pot of water and made a makeshift shower by parking my car doors near a large tree.
Their flushing toilet was incredibly clean
But honestly, the magic was the stars and the river. And if you forgot anything like bug spray which we did, the dollar general is literally right there lol and they have everything! Thanks so much for letting us stay. We loved it. See you in the summer.

We had such a great stay here. The property is absolutely beautiful, and Sawyer’s Site #1 was right on the river shore. Falling asleep to the sound of the water was a highlight.
We also had the chance to meet Tom, who came by to introduce himself. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Beautiful property, with one of the cleanest/most extravagant public bathrooms that I've seen. If you're staying between Thursday and Sunday, I definitely recommend stopping by the winery tasting room for a flight of wine before 5pm. Perfect way to enjoy a sunset while camping!

This property was absolutely beautiful! It was our first time using this app, camping on a private camp ground, and we brought a large group of friends and family. Some joined just for the day, while others stayed multiple nights. There was more than enough space for everyone to spread out and enjoy.
We had children of all ages with us, from infants and toddlers to teenagers, and every single one of them absolutely loved it. Even with a downpour of rain during our stay, it didn’t take away from the experience at all; the kids still had an amazing time, which says everything about how great this place is.
The farm animals were such a highlight, horses, ponies, cows, the camp dogs, and especially the baby goats made it extra memorable. I’ve honestly never had this much fun at a campsite. I’ll also note that the walking distance is so close to the lake we even considered bringing a boat next time to allow summer lake fun to a future stay.
Lastly, the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and provided a generous range of options that made the experience feel both easy and special. He was available when/if needed and checked in with us through the app.
We will definitely be returning!
