We had a great time. They had nice chairs perfect for relaxing on the dock. Lots of wildlife to enjoy the sounds of nature. 10/10 recommend.

Having a private reservoir to unwind at was a lovely addition to our weekend away. We explored some local trails with our dog and then came to fish and relax by the resorvoir. There are some neighbors with animals that are chatty but that is to be expected out in the country. We took out the paddleboat and enjoyed hours relaxing on the land. Thanks James!

We had a nice weekend camping at Pond Bank Waterfront. The property was easy to find and access. We parked our trailer parallel to the pond so that we had a nice view of it. We were the only ones accessing the pond so that was nice. We were aware of neighbors across the pond but they are far enough away that it was no issue. We really enjoyed watching all of the birds come and go to the pond. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful!
We liked that the location of the property is so close to things to do during our stay. We spent the afternoon on Saturday checking out the Kennedy Mine and Kennedy Tailing Wheels. Fascinating. Walking around Sutter Creek was fun too.
The only issue we had were mosquitos which come any place with water. Just be prepared for them to come out an hour or so before sunset. We didn't have any issue with them during the day.

Overall we had a great experience but we were bummed to run into a couple neighbors from across the reservoir also using the reservoir for fishing, boating and swimming. The listing is a bit misleading by saying it is private. Sure it’s on private property but is also on neighbors property so they have access. The neighbors were pretty loud, there was a barking dog, a non stop rooster and a very loud goose. There is also little to no shade so make sure to have your own. The small metal umbrella that is there has a small wasp nest in it right now. The wooden structure with picnic table shown in some photos is not useable as it’s been taken over by weeds with thorns. The sandy beach also had quite a few weeds with thrones around the edges that could be cleaned up. I also wouldn’t recommend this for tent or car camping. A neighbor or car from the road can see you from all angles so if you had to bring a camp toilet you would have zero privacy. Luckily there was a porta potty on the property that we used. Not sure if it is available all the time so check with the host. They are able to lock it from the outside. We did really enjoy the floating dock and were able to swim and fish. If you are bringing kids be very careful as the water gets steep FAST. You basically have a 2 foot ledge and then it drops down. There is also 2 cameras on the property.

Loved my stay here!
So peaceful and private .i didn’t see a soul the entire time.
The paddle boat was great and I appreciated the runner of artificial grass that was very soft
The pond is so refreshing and the sand beach .nice to lie on.
Note there is no picnic table but a glass table and a wooden stool, so as long as you have chairs it’s not an issue.
The gas grill does not work .
There is a large fire pit on wheels that will be awesome once the fire ban is lifted.
I even made a sweet duck friend! I’d come back just for him!

Amazing little camp spot, great for a family gathering, something to do for all. The canoe was such a plus! We enjoyed the entire weekend. Must love bird, cricket, bullfrog and neighborhood dog noises. We didn’t mind, lulled us to sleep

This is a terrific spot!! Had a great time enjoying this location. Nice and private, except for one house on the other side of the pond…never saw anyone, but did get to hear a nice drum session Saturday mid morning😂 The pond was a great place to paddle with my kayak and it was even cooler going out at night. The only down side was the noise while trying to sleep!! The bullfrogs are super active all night, chirping and barking😂🐸😂🐸 Seriously, everything was just as described. Didn’t use the bbq, but there was a porta potty, so I didn’t have to use the one I brought. Bring shade as there’s not much around

Great spot. Perfect to fish, boat and relax with friends. Outhouse was a welcome surprise. Site is definitely exposed and hot, but its location on the water cannot be beat. One thing to note; the reservoir isn’t completely private. Two or three other properties have access to the water, but no one came out during our stay. Will certainly be returning in the future!

One of our favorites. Second time staying. The best part about this is the solitude, no other people to deal with so our dog can roam free! The lake is so peaceful and the floating deck is beautiful to have a morning coffee. A great stay!

We loved having the pond to ourselves! The swings, paddle boat and canoe were added bonuses. There was a sufficient outhouse so we didn’t have to use our trailer potty.
The bbq had propane, a great fire ring and a lot of turf surrounding where we parked our camper.
We caught catfish and got bites from bass. We brought our 3 dogs and didn’t have to worry about anyone else or any other animals. They did each get a tick but not a big deal, we were able to get them off easily.

It was absolutely perfect for the 3 day weekend. Beautiful spot, perfect dock and beach access. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. Beautiful evenings and plenty of space!

The area was very easy to find. Parking was a breeze . My dogs got their daily work outs swimming and running. Loved listening to the bull frogs and crickets. Used the paddle boat was fun.
Full moon at night and a small campfire was relaxing. Great place and will be going again soon.

Had a great time here! Caught fish, used the canoe and paddle boat. Loved pulling the 5th wheel right up to the water. Kids had a great time and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks for sharing your property! Only thing we’d love to see added for the future is a picnic table, but otherwise the extra amenities were much appreciated!

really enjoyed james’ spot. thankfully i was the only person on the property…i’m kind of a loner when camping & really love secluded sites. james called in advance to check in with me & give me a heads up on some things at his property he had made available. overall…it was exactly what you hope for from a hipcamp property. i’ll come back to fish as i bet it was great fishing…but my 3 french bulldogs weren’t having the downtime. LOL

It’s my 2nd time came back here. We enjoyed rowing the boat with a quiet camping. My large dog suddenly jumped into the water when the boat was close to the other end of the lake. Glad nothing happened. The weather was a lot better this time.

The stay was great! We all had a good time. Caught some nice size bass in the pond. Recommended that you go during cooler weather. James was a great host and responsive. Totally recommend this place. It was nice being close to town which was awesome and helpful. We did go and check out The Sweet Shoppe in town which is amazing.

It was really nice super spacious and the water was amazing! The other small feature that was great was the strip of fake grass they laid out nice to walk around with no shoes on. Only thing is depending on the time of year there was a bunch of small bugs no mosquitoes so bring bug spray and citronella candles

This is a really beautiful campsite, right on the water! There's so much wildlife, with different types of birds all around. The campsite is very quiet and peaceful, and you can hang out on the dock, take the canoe out on the water, or go swimming. Sunset was gorgeous, and you have an amazing views of the tall grass around you and the hills in the backdrop. I highly recommend staying here!

I had a good time to row the boat. My dogs played in the water. People live at distance, but no one was nearby.
Lots of birds fly around there and it is pretty relaxing.
It was 99F. I will go again when it is cooler.
The instruction of driving direction and hope to open the gate is very clear.

Note* Pond is not for camper only, but is for other campers in the area, communally. Site information didn’t explain the pond site wouldn’t be private, it showed as private, so that was unfortunate.

My yorkie and I stayed one night in mid-August. Probably not the best time to visit for us due to extreme heat. The site itself is private, the added astroturf in front of the water is a nice touch and there is a shade stand near the water’s edge. Next to the stand is a bucket with life vests, but birds have marked them a bit. There is a small hard shell boat and kayak for you to use, but plan to bring paddles for them as people have taken them. Across the water is a house or two that overlook the site. One neighbor stood an excessive amount of time watching me set up my tent, canopy, and bathroom tent. It is reassuring to know that while you are alone if something happened you are within screaming distance for help. James was wonderful staying in contact. He alerted me the day before my stay that the water is turning a bit green due to the heat. I was drawn to the site based on the photos and thought I could beat the heat by getting in the water, but erred on the side of caution and didn’t get in. This would be a lovely space to enjoy when the weather less extreme and if you bring paddles. The nearby town is 5 min away and a great place to find comforts. We stayed a few hours each day at the local restaurant with a covered patio. There’s a couple hours between 6-8pm when the sun shifts and the heat lessens so you can settle in. Watching the birds at sunset was neat. Thank you James for our visit. We hope to stay again in the future. It’s a lovely private site.
