One of our favorites. Second time staying. The best part about this is the solitude, no other people to deal with so our dog can roam free! The lake is so peaceful and the floating deck is beautiful to have a morning coffee. A great stay!

We loved having the pond to ourselves! The swings, paddle boat and canoe were added bonuses. There was a sufficient outhouse so we didn’t have to use our trailer potty.
The bbq had propane, a great fire ring and a lot of turf surrounding where we parked our camper.
We caught catfish and got bites from bass. We brought our 3 dogs and didn’t have to worry about anyone else or any other animals. They did each get a tick but not a big deal, we were able to get them off easily.

It was absolutely perfect for the 3 day weekend. Beautiful spot, perfect dock and beach access. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. Beautiful evenings and plenty of space!

The area was very easy to find. Parking was a breeze . My dogs got their daily work outs swimming and running. Loved listening to the bull frogs and crickets. Used the paddle boat was fun.
Full moon at night and a small campfire was relaxing. Great place and will be going again soon.

Had a great time here! Caught fish, used the canoe and paddle boat. Loved pulling the 5th wheel right up to the water. Kids had a great time and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks for sharing your property! Only thing we’d love to see added for the future is a picnic table, but otherwise the extra amenities were much appreciated!

We had a wonderful camping experience at this spot. The host was incredibly helpful and a great communicator. Fishing in the pond was very successful, and I caught quite a few. We would definitely recommend this location to others. Thanks for a great time!

really enjoyed james’ spot. thankfully i was the only person on the property…i’m kind of a loner when camping & really love secluded sites. james called in advance to check in with me & give me a heads up on some things at his property he had made available. overall…it was exactly what you hope for from a hipcamp property. i’ll come back to fish as i bet it was great fishing…but my 3 french bulldogs weren’t having the downtime. LOL

It’s my 2nd time came back here. We enjoyed rowing the boat with a quiet camping. My large dog suddenly jumped into the water when the boat was close to the other end of the lake. Glad nothing happened. The weather was a lot better this time.

The stay was great! We all had a good time. Caught some nice size bass in the pond. Recommended that you go during cooler weather. James was a great host and responsive. Totally recommend this place. It was nice being close to town which was awesome and helpful. We did go and check out The Sweet Shoppe in town which is amazing.

It was really nice super spacious and the water was amazing! The other small feature that was great was the strip of fake grass they laid out nice to walk around with no shoes on. Only thing is depending on the time of year there was a bunch of small bugs no mosquitoes so bring bug spray and citronella candles

This is a really beautiful campsite, right on the water! There's so much wildlife, with different types of birds all around. The campsite is very quiet and peaceful, and you can hang out on the dock, take the canoe out on the water, or go swimming. Sunset was gorgeous, and you have an amazing views of the tall grass around you and the hills in the backdrop. I highly recommend staying here!

I had a good time to row the boat. My dogs played in the water. People live at distance, but no one was nearby.
Lots of birds fly around there and it is pretty relaxing.
It was 99F. I will go again when it is cooler.
The instruction of driving direction and hope to open the gate is very clear.

Wasn’t able to stay, air conditioning problem. Didn’t get refund, too late.
Note* Pond is not for camper only, but is for other campers in the area, communally. Site information didn’t explain the pond site wouldn’t be private, it showed as private, so that was unfortunate.

My yorkie and I stayed one night in mid-August. Probably not the best time to visit for us due to extreme heat. The site itself is private, the added astroturf in front of the water is a nice touch and there is a shade stand near the water’s edge. Next to the stand is a bucket with life vests, but birds have marked them a bit. There is a small hard shell boat and kayak for you to use, but plan to bring paddles for them as people have taken them. Across the water is a house or two that overlook the site. One neighbor stood an excessive amount of time watching me set up my tent, canopy, and bathroom tent. It is reassuring to know that while you are alone if something happened you are within screaming distance for help. James was wonderful staying in contact. He alerted me the day before my stay that the water is turning a bit green due to the heat. I was drawn to the site based on the photos and thought I could beat the heat by getting in the water, but erred on the side of caution and didn’t get in. This would be a lovely space to enjoy when the weather less extreme and if you bring paddles. The nearby town is 5 min away and a great place to find comforts. We stayed a few hours each day at the local restaurant with a covered patio. There’s a couple hours between 6-8pm when the sun shifts and the heat lessens so you can settle in. Watching the birds at sunset was neat. Thank you James for our visit. We hope to stay again in the future. It’s a lovely private site.

It’s easy to find, there’s a town with Starbucks, fast food, grocery stores etc about 5-7 min away. New hogan lake is about 10 min away as well.
James is friendly, quick to respond, and lets you have privacy.
The swing set and bbq are great. Swimming in a pond like that was new for me, but it’s a cool private spot. Picked some fresh black berries and enjoyed the balmy evenings.
If you bring a dog make sure to check yourself and the dog for ticks OFTEN. And bring LOTS OF SHADE!!! There really is no shade to speak of and it’s flipping HOT.

We booked super last minute and were so happy to find this private campsite located on this little reservoir/pond. The owners happened to be there and were so welcoming and accommodating. They let my children use their water toys and gave us a tour of the new projects they are working on on the property. The sunsets were amazing, with gorgeous views, and both of my kids were able to catch fish off the dock. The water was clean and refreshing to swim in. The ground was level and easy for tent camping, with lots of room for parking, etc. It was a quick drive to the mountains to get out of the heat and explore, but the little reservoir was all that is really needed to beat the heat. We can’t wait to plan another trip back!

Okay first of all, this is definitely not a pond, it’s a small lake and it’s wonderful!!! It’s clean for swimming and is perfect for fishing, boat included 👏🏻
We were just passing through and looking for a quiet place to camp for the night with our dogs and since it was a heat advisory we knew we wanted to be near water. While the nearby reservoir has lots of camping, this spot has your own swimming hole, is clean and private and tons of wildlife. Only a 5 min drive to the bigger lake and also 5 min to town with anything you need! I really wish we had more time to stay there longer! Will be back when we are in the area again.

We had a great time here this past weekend. I live the communication from host James, he was awesome to work with. He provided lots info about the site so we knew what to expect.
This is a good spot if you are self contained. We originally were going to bring our trailer, but our truck broke last min - we opted to tent camp instead. There is a beautiful pond that has cool water (not freezing) and you can fish - catch and release. There is a new dock and a bit of a man made sand beach area. Note the pond entry drops significantly fast after about 5ft from shore so if you have small kids beware. There is next to no shade and trust me at 90 degrees it felt like 110. The only shade is a small tree. They are installing a swing and a bunch of other features so this is a site in the works. If you are self contained with a generator with a/c and a bathroom you will be fine. However, we did survive thanks to the town being five minutes away. The town has a nice grocery store, Starbucks, grocery outlet, tacobell and several thrift shops. The campsite is basically a field so there is dead grass and a lot of stickers if you have a dog (foxtail and ticks). There are neighbors but they were far enough away that you don't notice much. The pond comes to life during the night there are so many birds and frogs it crazy - so either enjoy nature sounds or bring ear plugs...we loved it. Geat spot to pull in and check out the surrounding areas or short term stay if your passing through.

Pond Bank Left is a great place to camp, fish, relax, and enjoy quality time with good company without worrying about neighboring campers. James the host is accommodating, very friendly and helpful. He is available via text and responsive if you have any questions. Phone signal was not an issue, at least for Verizon and AT&T. The site is spacious and accessible by pretty much any vehicle. The pond is fairly big and you can access almost every part of it by boat which is provided by James. You can also bring your own kayak or SUP. Fishing is great, but please catch and release. Bring your own shade, toilet, potable water, and pack out your trash. A wood fire pit is provided, but we opted to use a gas fire pit just to be safe as the surrounding area has a lot of dry grass (during late spring and summer). The location is very close to town (3-5 minute drive) which has restaurants and a grocery store in case you are in need of provisions. All in all, I would recommend this campsite to anyone. Great for families or a group of friends. James, thank you for opening up your campsite to us, It was a privilege. We hope to be back soon
