We are also located in the Armpit of Nevada county with 3 access ways 15 mins each way to Grass Valley, Nevada City or Penn Valley. The neighborhood of this area is also one of the more safer bike friendlier places, you can ride into town along the NID trails, or set up camp and head up the 20HWY less than 20 mins to enjoy Epic Mountain Biking Trails. Not only are we crafty, but also nature enthusiasts to feel free to reach out and ask about fun things to do here, if you are looking to stay busy exploring the nature. We also have a beautiful sunset hike that overlooks some beautiful views. Oracle Oak Grove has a wide variety of camping options. We have a camp grounds on the lower end of the property that currently hosts 4 different camp sites. the 3 May Pole zone, and 1 Faerie fields. There is one shared Bonfire zone that can be used for friends camping together during the spring and late fall months when we are not in fire season. We love hosting groups and birthday parties. Also individual campers as well. We have two yurts available if you are more into the Glamping experience or especially if camping in the winter. The Witches Hut and The Little Witch Hut! The Witches Hut which is larger and can fit a family of 3 or 4. This hut includes a patio, grill, and Private entrance. The Little Witch Hut is smaller and more suitable for a couple or a single person wanting some solo retreat time. This one has cooking amenities accessible in an outdoor kitchen just outside the yurt. This one also gets better access to the Starlink available on the property. This yurt has the compost toilet outside and is a less than minute walk to it. Both yurts have the ability to park fairly close to them and both are fully furnished. The Yurts are available for a higher expense than the camping of course. We are sorry to say that Hot tub season is now closed. We do have a wood-fired Cedar Hot tub, she is our Cauldron she is only available during winter and very early spring visits. I am sorry, but due to fire season and her being wood-fired she is not available outside hot tub season. If you are interested in the experience it requires advanced noticed as well as an extra charge for wood, cleaning, and tending. She is a labor of love, and such a unique experience. We are in a very Rural Area and it can be difficult to see a night where to park and camp. Jones Bar Farm is a quiet little seven acre hobby farm at the end of the paved section of Jones Bar Rd in Nevada City, CA. We have 4 alpacas and about a dozen chickens, who free-range all over the farm. The farm is perched near the edge of the South Yuba River canyon at about 2100 ft elevation. We are "above the fog, and below the snow (usually)." Summers are hot and dry here. Daytime temps in July and August are typically in the 90s, and night time temps are in the 70s. Spring and Fall are our favorite seasons. There is, however, potable water, and the campsites are easy to access and relatively flat. Past our property, the unpaved, and very rough, section of Jones Bar Rd continues down into the South Yuba River canyon for about 2 miles, to a lovely swimming hole. Bicycling and hiking are very popular activities in this area. If you are bringing your dog with you on your travels, you will want to be aware of the many unpleasant sticker weeds that are prevalent everywhere around here. Foxtails, filaree, and hitch-hiker weeds will all find their way into your dog’s fur. The farm is about 6 miles from both Nevada City and Grass Valley. Both towns have lively and interesting down-towns with good shopping and restaurants.

Our family of 4 humans, two dogs, and one guinea pig lived in Coco while our house was being built. It was quite an adventure! Coco is nestled in the foothills of the Sierras on our semi-private 4-acre property. Easy access to Grass Valley, Nevada City, and the Yuba River. Coco the Airstream is fully functional with a kitchen and bathroom. There is one full-ish size bed that sleeps two comfortably in the bedroom area, and the couch can fold into one twin-sized bed. We are located about 15 minutes to town and 10 to the nearest grocery store. Coco the Airstream shares the property with a private family of four humans and two dogs in a house at the top of the hill. My parents are full time RVers and often stay in the other RV spot on our property throughout the year when they are taking a break from traveling. This was the most fun quick getaway for our families! Exactly as described, beautifully maintained property, incredible hosts. High end blankets and towels, very clean dry flush toilet, and so many cozy seating options. My kids loved the welcome shed, and there were too many thoughtful personal touches to mention. The location is incredible. we explored grass Valley and Nevada city, both had a great selection of well appointed shops and restaurants and were less than a 15 minute drive from the property. We can’t wait to come back in the summer!

Our second visit and the accommodations were even nicer than last. We enjoyed viewing the rural landscape from the cozy bed. The room had everything we needed including coffee, mugs, and a microwave. The place is really cute and Josh and Valerie are VERY nice. The only thing for me was the smoke inside the tipee gave me a headache. I feel like this is more of a warmer weather place. Also i personally did not appreciate the neighbors dog roaming around but im not a dog person so there’s that, and it’s not like they can do anything about it anyway. Overall nice stay and nice hosts

The farm was such a great place to stopover in our travels! My dog loved the open space to run around and explore all while being totally fenced in. The site was cute, with a picnic table, swing and running water. We took the drive down to the river (4wd needed) and the swimming hole was magical. Didn’t swim but definitely a place to be in the summer! Camp host was super helpful and quick to respond with knowledge of the road down to the river. We had a great time and would love to come back again!

We loved staying on the farm with all of the rescued animals. We even got to feed them. Our kids loved petting the animals and spending time on the farm. Host Shanna was very welcoming and kind. She even provided us firewood and helped with some electrical issues with our RV. Beautiful sanctuary farm away from the hustle and bustle! We are already looking forward to a return visit in the near future :)

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! The woodfired sauna and outdoor tub under the stars or just what my husband and I needed. We really enjoyed the yurt space and the bed was very comfy. We will definitely go back. Just an FYI, for people looking this is a rustic experience - compost toilet, no wifi, so if you’re looking for something a bit refined, this might not be as awesome for you as it was for us.

Nice and quiet spot with everything you might need provided. The neighbors dog Abby greeted us every day and she was a sweetheart. The teepee was decked out in a comfy World Market boho vibe and even had a mini fridge. Oh and the sheets were the softest. Nice bathroom not far from the sight. If you are cooking at night by the bathroom, it's a bit dark. Just turn on the bathroom light and pull back the curtain, that will help. The teepee did have a smokey smell due to the fires inside, but I am sensitive to that kind of thing. Overall loved the place and would camp here again.

We found Anne's place without any issues and it was easy to get setup. Anne offered some things to do in the region and was helpful. We especially enjoyed the remote feel of the property and the various farm animals and wildlife. We biked to the Yuba River on a road that was near the property. Next time we visit Nevada City we will stay with Anne if available.

The yurt was so lovely! We stayed with 3 people and the bed was very cozy, and Rachel had a blow up mattress but we had brought our own. The land, all the creatures that inhabit it, and the quiet were super nourishing. It's close to the river - I highly recommend for a quiet getaway.
