Over all it was an ok experience the Teepee itself needed a good scrub down here were areas that looked like mold on it maybe some mosquito netting on top of the teepee could have really helped I know we were in the wilderness but there were little bugs crawling all over our bed we had to spray the whole bed with bug repellent spray it just didn't feel like glamping to me

The campsite hosts were really nice, and there were a lot of amenities included which we liked. Unfortunately for us, everything seemed really dirty and there were overgrown weeds everywhere. We understand it's a campground, but a little maintenance would go a long way. We booked for 2 nights, but there were so many bugs inside of the teepee that kept crawling on us the first night that we decided to just go the next day and not stay another night.

We loved our first-class teepee glamping experience! Everything was provided for cooking and sleeping. The electric kettle was perfect for the morning coffee press. Large mini fridge worked perfectly, even had a small freezer space. Plenty of seating and 3 comfy hammocks. The outdoor kitchen was well stocked with every size pan and utensil. Just a quick rinse before use is needed since it is an outdoor kitchen. The chimney inside the teepee was a very unique experience, it did get a little smokey, but partially opening the front door flap helped a lot. Smoke smell inside the teepee didn't bother us since that's usually part of camping anyway. It felt pretty private. Thank you so much for creating this special place!

The place is really cute and Josh and Valerie are VERY nice. The only thing for me was the smoke inside the tipee gave me a headache. I feel like this is more of a warmer weather place.
Also i personally did not appreciate the neighbors dog roaming around but im not a dog person so there’s that, and it’s not like they can do anything about it anyway. Overall nice stay and nice hosts

Nice and quiet spot with everything you might need provided. The neighbors dog Abby greeted us every day and she was a sweetheart. The teepee was decked out in a comfy World Market boho vibe and even had a mini fridge. Oh and the sheets were the softest. Nice bathroom not far from the sight. If you are cooking at night by the bathroom, it's a bit dark. Just turn on the bathroom light and pull back the curtain, that will help. The teepee did have a smokey smell due to the fires inside, but I am sensitive to that kind of thing. Overall loved the place and would camp here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Josh and Valerie's tipi camp that I'm sure it wouldn't be our last. The place was very quiet and peaceful. My whole family had a very relaxing weekend and we all had fun at the farm tour. I also liked that it was less than 30 min drive to the river. The hosts are very nice and friendly.

Cool place. I enjoyed the privacy and it was really nice to be able to take a hot shower on a cool evening after a long day of hiking. The weather wasn't great unfortunately but there is a fridge, hot plate and kettle in the tipi which is great. If you have respiratory issues I would avoid using the fire pit in the tipi, but no complaints here, I had a good time.

WOW! This land is incredible!
I hosted a small women’s gathering for the weekend here at Hilltop acres and I am blown away by how amazing everything was during or stay. The tipi was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The cozy fire pit area with the lovely lights around really set a beautiful ambience for relaxation. The kitchenette area was lovely! (Could possibly use a light above sink though!) the bathroom was great! Wonderful to have a flushing toilet and hot shower at our convenience. The privacy was perfect, I was able to set up a massage area in nature which was absolutely wonderful to work in a beautiful area. And what a way to receive a massage surrounded by beautiful nature! I set up and facilitated a sound bath in a perfect area for the guest to lay out and embrace the healing of sound. Everything about this place was so magical and perfect for the Sacred Goddess Getaway hosted by MoonBodySpirit. We will for sure be gathering here again in the future. And I will definitely be coming back for a personal trip as well. This place holds a special place in my heart. History was made on this land. The first ever women’s gathering I created from a vision. Thank you thank you THANK YOU Valerie & Josh. The most incredible hosts!!!!!!

The tipi was so cozy for my kids and me. They especially had a great time playing the drums and making music with the rain stick. The land was spacious, along with the indoor shower and toilet. The outdoor kitchen was lovely, except the yellow jackets were quite annoying. Valerie and Josh were extremely speedy responders. We got cold the first night and they brought us comforters and extra blankets. We also toured their farm and their lovely kids showed us all the animals. It was an extra treat for my kids. I’d definitely come back.

We enjoyed the space, Josh brought our eggs over and introduced himself (really friendly guy). We did the farm tour the following morning and the kids loved it! Sunday morning a couple deers came through. Although it's rural, you are in a neighborhood so something to mindful of. The tipi was great for our Saturday night drumming, it brought all the ambiance we needed. We enjoyed the propane fire for smores in the twinkle light lit outdoor space, making it the grand finale before heading out the next day.

Great! This was my first time using hipcamp (and I’m not a big camper in general) but I had a great time! Valerie and Josh were wonderful hosts- very friendly and accommodating. My kids loved the teepee and farm tour.

The host is really nice and the teepee is a cute idea but we definitely did not feel like it was private. You're surrounded by houses on three sides and you're on a slope. The farm is also not on site, you have to drive down to the farm which is not far but just not what we were expecting. The farm is super super cute though and she has all the animals. Would definitely recommend this part if you decide to camp here. The teepee itself is nice, clean, decorated nicely, and comfortable.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here at the tipi and Valerie was awesome. We especially loved our farm visit!
We really only have two things that could be improved upon. First, the bathroom and kitchen were quite dirty. Yes it’s glamping and it’s even recommended in the description you wash before using the stuff but this felt a little extra dirty and the hot plate did not work. The griddle was also pretty beat up. Valerie was awesome at bringing over some cleaning supplies and we made it work! Second, the tipi is located near a shop they rent out to a gentlemen that works on cars and so every evening until late he would be tinkering around and people would come and go- they did not bother us but as two females it felt pretty uncomfortable and not as private.
Overall, I still would come back and have already recommended it to friends! Just needs a little tlc and maybe another fence?

Josh and Valerie have a very nice property in a beautiful area. The tipi was so cute, and the provided fans helped a lot with the heat. The full bath was a great convenience too!

We loved our two nights in Valerie and Josh’s glamping spot! It was peaceful, well stocked with kitchen essentials and the teepee and nighttime lights made for a cozy setup. We really enjoyed the short farm tour and the eggs were great!

We did not get a chance to go to Josh and Valerie's place due to a last-minute Covid diagnosis :( . Josh and Valerie were very understanding and extremely helpful in welcoming out friends who took over our reservation, and our friends enjoyed their weekend tremendously. Hope to visit ourselves soon :)

The tipi was sooo cute, and the wood stove kept me warm at night.
The power went out in the tipi on my second night. Luckily, I had camp lights and a book to keep me busy.
All in all, amazing stay: Firewood and eggs for sale, a well-equipped outdoor kitchen, hammocks, cozy bedding, and a working bathroom. Did not want to leave!

Josh and Valerie are very responsive, respectful, and helpful throughout the entire process. They gave thorough instructions on site usage, management, and direction so everything was seamless. We opted to pay for EV charging, which was such a huge blessing since it charged our car overnight! It allowed us to explore neighboring cities (which by the way have THE nicest people around).
My partner and I went during a rainy weekend, so we unfortunately couldn't utilize all the fun activities they laid out onsite. Despite that, it was still fun experience to stay in a tipi and cook outside. We also opted to visit Josh and Valerie's farm and met their family! Such incredibly kind and humble individuals. Definitely worth visiting them and meeting all their animals, which we were able to pet.

It’s perfect escape from the city. We took our son and his girlfriend visiting us from London. We explored Nevada City and Grass Valley - great shops and had an epic time at Yuba river. Sitting by the campfire under the stars… making full breakfast in the morning! And a huge highlight was the farm tour.

This is our first time experiencing an adventurous wedding anniversary celebration, and these guys exceeded our expectations. They were so responsive, professional, helpful, and accommodating. We brought so many things but ended up not using most of them cos they had them on the glamping site. This experience is good for the first-time campers like us. We didn’t complain on anything except we were afraid of the deers who were just curious roaming around the area. The tipi inside was so beautiful more than we had seen on the pictures! The kitchen and the shower room were also great! We were able to get the chance to use the firepit area while the deers were watching us. Haha! Valerie gave us the chance to feed the kind animals in the morning. There’s a weak WIFI connection but it gets stronger at night. The location was easy to find. Overall, we kept taking so many pictures and videos to post on FB to show them to our family and friends. We were so tired but everything’s worth it especially the price we paid. We’ll definitely go back here for sure as satisfied customers. I’d recommend to increase your price per night because your overall service is too nice. Thank you both so much and More power!

The place was really nice and aesthetic, and overall was a nice get away. We met with Josh and Valerie at the farm and they were very nice people, showed us all their animals and even got some nice pictures holding some chickens and dogs. Great time overall and would come again
