Our property is situated in Penn Valley, just a quick 10-minute drive from the stunning Yuba River (Bridgeport Covered Bridge swimming hole). We offer five glamping tents, each equipped with its own power and water, set on a hillside with picturesque views of Lake Wildwood. Each tent features new mattresses, rugs, fans, and bistro tables, but please note that WE DO NOT PROVIDE BEDDING. There’s also a port-a-potty on-site and an outdoor shower for your convenience. Propane fire place available. We are located: - 9 minutes to town of Penn Valley - 17 minutes to Grass Valley/Fairgrounds - 19 minutes to Nevada City

Gypsum Tent
Easy spot to get to and load in. Got here after dark and felt comfortable finding everything. Didn’t need to interact with the host. Comfy bed. Clean. Byo bedding. Very functional spot to stay between yuba days. I think that if there were more campers, the tents are a little close for comfort. Beautiful views without being in the mix of nature. The description online is accurate to what it’s like to be here. Worked well for us thank you!

Clean, Premium, & Dog Friendly!

These glamping tents were such a lovely way to spend time near some great SUP-ing spots. There's a public dock less than 10 min away and several more bodies of water within a 1-hr drive. The campsite itself is quite picturesque. I brought my pup and we had a great time having a rest day at the site. What a luxury it was not to have to set up my own tent, while having access to water, electricity and a shower! Having a fan was key, too! Bonus was terrific reception. I got 3 bars and 5G (AT&T), which brought peace of mind. With some minimal updates,—like a sink near the bathroom, a more defined kitchen area (for food prep/dish washing), or better spigots for easeful water flow, signs for tents/ amenities—this easily makes a premium campsite. Even still, I’d return especially because it was so well kept.

Great getaway with beautiful views.

Wonderful retreat and beautiful views. The area is nice and quiet, only a few glamping tents on the property. It has beautiful views, a cool hang out spot with outdoor lighting. It’s definitely a great getaway for couples and singles. If a family came, not a lot for kids but you can bring activities. I really enjoyed myself and look forward to bringing my husband soon. I highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway. I met the owner John and he is very friendly and helpful as well. It was nice to relax alone but also have people nearby.

Serpentine Tent
John and Suzy (spelling? I’m sorry If I got it wrong) are very kind people with a beautiful vision for that space. My daughter and I had a great time there. They invited us and all the other guests to the party they were hosting for the 4th of July, and we all mingled and had a great time. I go camping and glamping with my kid in the summer several times, and sometimes it feels lonely. It wasn’t like that this time. I’m grateful for their warmth.

Very peaceful, very clean, nice accommodation. Comfy bed. The shower was so nice and the toilet was clean. You can see the lake from camp and the sunset was beautiful. John was very nice. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely place and lovely host! My son and I stayed for 4th of July weekend and it was beautiful! Got to watch the fireworks without leaving the premises. John is doing some more work around the place but its already looking really good as of now. John and suzie even had a small bbq gathering for the campers which was very sweet. Met some lovely people, so awesome! I would stay here again in a heart beat, hopefully get to book again next 4th of July!

Great site! Comfortable and clean!

We loved staying here! The campsite was clean with a comfortable bed and fan inside the tent. The tents are sturdy and durable. We had a great time exploring the surrounding area and enjoyed resting at our campsite. The site is close to lake Wildwood, Nevada City and Grass Valley. John is a great host! He is very friendly and you can tell this place is his passion. We will definitely come back!

The best experience!

Our family loved this site so much ! SO MUCH . It was a perfect little getaway . John was super responsive with any questions we had. It had all the basic glamping necessities. I would recommend any family to stay here . Next time we’re booking all 5 sites for the whole family . 10/10 Would recommend to anyone who wants to camp. I loved that it wasn’t dust or dirty for the kids to get dirty it was rock gravel so no extra dust for the kids or mud etc. They had running water , lights , hot shower , running toilet , a bbq grill , electric plugs were a plus and a bed . Watch for the little lizards that like to get in the tent but end up finding a way out eventually, if you have little boys they loved to catch them anyways . Bridgeport swimming hole was 10 minutes away . Holiday market was about 6 minutes away , this market had all the right stuff too in case you forgot anything . Ice ,groceries, swim toys , etc Thanks John for such an amazing experience.
