When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here. We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site. We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping. We are located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, close to the Village of Rhinebeck and the Hudson River. There are many things to do within a half an hour of the campsite. Learn more about this land: A very spacious semi-wooded site that is in the shape of a triangle. The dimensions are approximately 100' by 100' by 50'. Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather. Large or multiple tents no problem, put your tents in the wooded area where there is room for multiple tents. There is a fire pit area, picnic table, 4 outdoor chairs and corn hole that all are included with the site. A seasonal stream runs along the campsite giving you a nice bubbling brook sound.  Plenty of privacy with screens around the site. Within 15-20 minutes of our site is just about anything you could desire. Local restaurants, hiking, fishing, shopping, drive in movie and much much more. Rainy days no problem explore one of our nations pieces of history, Vanderbilt mansion, Theodore Roosevelt home, Montgomery Place Mansion, Poets walk, Ferncliff forest, or Art Omi. We are located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, close to the Village of Rhinebeck and the Hudson River. There are many things to do within a half an hour of the campsite. Learn more about this land: A very spacious semi-wooded site that is in the shape of a triangle. The dimensions are approximately 100' by 100' by 50'. Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather. Large or multiple tents no problem, put your tents in the wooded area where there is room for multiple tents. There is a fire pit area, picnic table, 4 outdoor chairs and corn hole that all are included with the site. A seasonal stream runs along the campsite giving you a nice bubbling brook sound.  Plenty of privacy with screens around the site. Within 15-20 minutes of our site is just about anything you could desire. Local restaurants, hiking, fishing, shopping, drive in movie and much much more. Rainy days no problem explore one of our nations pieces of history, Vanderbilt mansion, Theodore Roosevelt home, Montgomery Place Mansion, Poets walk, Ferncliff forest, or Art Omi. Theres something really special about this place! The horses are amazing, the land and trails are beautiful and the people are nice and friendly! My old van made it easily up the hill and the parking was nice and flat and the power hookup very good! My dogs also had a great time! The WiFi worked very well on the iPad but the phones struggled a bit. But really I have to dedicate some words to the horses: oh my, what beautiful animals they are! And they are all rescue! Mama and Lacey stole my heart!

My son and I really enjoyed camping on Mike's property. It was tucked away and quiet. Mike was very supportive and kept the firewood coming for the cold temperatures. The entrance comes up quickly, but Mike's directions were spot on. The hiking near the property was fantastic. Try Anthony's Nose; the hike was challenging, but the views were worth it.

This place was so great that when I sent photos to my wife she told me to get three more nights, called out sick from work on Friday and hopped on a bus to meet me. Hiking path. Clean. Nicely mowed. You can barely see your neighbor over the meadow. In my wife's book it gets extra credit for being down the street from a historic church - we walked there on Sunday for services.

This was perfect! We stayed for a night on a cool fall night. Lots of space, and included a picnic table and fire ring. The brewery was great (we were there on a Saturday) the portapotty is a bit of a walk from this particular site, but it wasn’t too bad! The farmers market was walkable, but also a short drive. Be sure to check out the farmers market while you are there! Would definitely stay again.

Phoenix Landing is the optimal camping spot for my partner and I (and cat). Though it was just the two of us, we had no issues with the camp site and felt very safe in the area. We decided to camp out there while enjoying Halloween festivities along the Hudson. The forest/stream, on the property is beautiful and there are many trails to explore. We brought our cat who loves walking outdoors on a harness & leash - we stayed very vigilant with her, but thankfully the most we encountered was a buck during our trip (1st week of Nov.). Mike's directions are very thorough and clear - DEFINITELY read his instructions for finding the property at first. He also provides a lot of supplies if needed, especially firewood for a small cost. Communication with him was also very pleasant and easy. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it by 1 more day 😊. Overall, we look forward to staying at Phoenix Landing again in the near future. NOTE: Needing a 4x4/ AWD vehicle is absolutely necessary to climb the property if choosing not to walk. We arrived in absolute pouring rain and thankfully our Land Cruiser had no issue. The climb / descent is definitely very fun, but if you have no experience with off-roading, it may be a bit difficult. Take it slow. Cheers! Thank you again Mike, and hope to stay again. 😸😸😸
