Its a 15 min drive from Okemo/Ludlow, 10min drive from the Appalachian trail (7.9 mile walk) and there are 3 other Ski resorts within an hour of us as well as numerous lakes and hiking trails. Just 2 miles up the road is Star Lake and the quaint town of Belmont. Our 7 acres sits on the Northside of Belmont hill. Half of it is open with several gardens to meander through. There is a pergola filled with kiwis and wisteria and a hammock for lounging. A shady grape arbor filled with white grapes that we have made wine with. On property we have a tree fort, greenhouse, chickens and pigs. We do provide fresh eggs for sale. There is a medium pond in the back for swimming, a large fire pit for fires and but the Hip Shack comes with its own fire pit/grill combo. Wood bundle's are also available. There is a rudimentary outdoor toilet and shower. The shower can be filled with hot water using the faucet by the garage. All water from hoses, pump hoses and faucets is the same drinkable well water, collected from the many underground springs that also feed into the pond.

Spacious one room camp, bunk bed, dinning table, and chairs. Sweeping view to the South. Swimming pond 5 minute walk. LP burner and some cooking utensils. Wood stove for those chilly nights. No electricity but LED battery lighting. l. Note that we do not charge a cleaning fee like some sites. We appreciate our guest leaving the camp as found. So far so good! Camp has the following: LP 2 burner cook top, pots and pans, dishes, flat ware, some spices and such. Fresh clean water will be at the camp when you arrive. The furnished jugs have been cleaned. If you still wish to bring your own drinking water please do so in reusable jugs. We are trying to limit plastic use. NOTE: Using GPS, Google map, or other device our address may come up as Perkinsville, Ascutney, or even Springfield even though the town is Weathersfield. However they are clean and cozy!Your trailer is down by the pond, the wildlife clay bottom is spring fed, swimming is allowed during daylight hours only and it is "Swim at your own Risk". Please read the house rules regarding rinsing off and refraining from getting suntan oil etc. in the pond.  We usually have wood on site for sale, advance request is much appreciated and please pay upon arrival with cash, $10 per ample bundle and $15 for a bag of charcoal.  We do not deliver after 5pm so please order in advance. PLEASE NOTE- you do not have our property to yourselves. We live onsite and on any given night, both trailers can be rented. The cook station, picnic table/benches under the pavilion and composting toilet are communally used. IMPORTANT-PLEASE PLAN TO CHECK IN BETWEEN 4 and 6:30 pm as this is not a location where we can accommodate arrivals after dark. Learn more about this land: Our private Sugar Shack is at the end of our blueberry fields and faces the forest. The Sugar Shack sleeps two in a comfy double bed with clean sheets and a fleece blanket. I wash the linens and blanket in hot water for each and every booking. The upcharge for additional campers after the first two people is $5 per person per night. Hiking trails through field and forest start at your door. We have a 3 mile round trip hike to Harlow Brook with a map. We are on the edge of a wildlife corridor and often see deer, coyotes, fox, waterfowl, songbirds and the occasional bear. (Keep food in your car at night so that the bear does not eat it!) We are above the Ottauquechee River at North Hartland Lake. We have rentable canoes and a kayak. We can transport you to and pick you up for a canoe trip on the Connecticut River or to North Hartland Lake.. We are located two miles from Quechee, 7 miles from historic Woodstock to the west, and 7 miles to hip White River Junction to the east and 8 1/2 miles to Dartmouth College and the Appalachian Trail. There are fun casual restaurants with some sit down and take-out nearby and our local Jakes Market can provide you with a nice selection of groceries. Hot Air Balloon pilots often take off and land in our fields and it is always a magical site. We can connect you with local pilots if you wish to purchase a Balloon Adventure.

Sweet Song Acres is 100+ acres of secluded forest nestled along the Little Sugar River, at the base of Perry Mountain. Located in rural Unity, NH and Charlestown, NH, just across the Vermont state line. Southernmost point, located in Charlestown is one of two campsites. The other is Shady Grove, located in Unity. The two sites, located in bordering towns share the same entrance and are connected by a 1/4 mile trail. Both are very large sites. Campers would drive to both sites down a trail so we highly recommend a vehicle with decent clearance and 4WD or AWD. Southernmost Point is a fully drive-in site. Shady Grove campers park above the site and the campsite is down a short path, just a few hundred feet or so. The property consists of varied terrain of rock ledges, lush moss, streams, and panoramic views at the summit. There are many options of local outdoor activities in the area or if you prefer, just sit and "listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock your soul".

Sweet Song Acres is 100+ acres of secluded forest nestled along the Little Sugar River, at the base of Perry Mountain. Located in rural Unity, NH and Charlestown, NH, just across the Vermont state line. Southernmost point, located in Charlestown is one of two campsites. The other is Shady Grove, located in Unity. The two sites, located in bordering towns share the same entrance and are connected by a 1/4 mile trail. Both are very large sites. Shady Grove campers park above the site and the campsite is down a short path, just a few hundred feet or so. The property consists of varied terrain of rock ledges, lush moss, streams, and panoramic views at the summit. We stayed for three nights and even in the chillier weather on late October nights, the easy set up made everything a real breeze. Our second time here and once again we had the BEST time! It is so peaceful and quiet. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and way more. We loved the bathroom remodel. We went during a drought but was provided with plenty of water to use (we also brought our own for backup) we loved sitting in front of the fireplace at night reading and doing puzzles. We enjoyed nights around the campfire and cooking dinner. The bed is very comfortable and the brown couch is perfect for naps. Being October we didn’t sleep on the porch bed but I can imagine how nice it is in the summer. Porch swing view sunrise is beautiful. Love taking a walk down to tiny pond and enjoy the use of the kayaks. Can’t wait to come back next year and bring our kids to experience this beautiful place. Scott and Rose are so welcoming and there for anything if needed. Thank you for this amazing place!

Weekend Trip to Sweet Song Acres
Second time staying at Sweet Song Acres, this time we camped at the Southern Most Point and loved it! Great communication from Tina, gorgeous private scenery, and a wonderful outhouse. There was even a little bit of water in the river adjacent to the site. Camped in October during the state-wide fire ban and it got down to 40° overnight but we had a propane heater in our Go Fast Camper than kept us warm. Pups loved being able to explore and we loved the trail up to the top of Perry Mountain- took us about 20mins going a slow pace while carrying a 16month old in a baby carrier too. Highly recommend this campsite, can't wait to return!

On property we have a tree fort, greenhouse, chickens and pigs. We do provide fresh eggs for sale. There is a medium pond in the back for swimming, a large fire pit for fires and but the Hip Shack comes with its own fire pit/grill combo. Wood bundle's are also available. There is a rudimentary outdoor toilet and shower. The shower can be filled with hot water using the faucet by the garage. All water from hoses, pump hoses and faucets is the same drinkable well water, collected from the many underground springs that also feed into the pond.

Wise Pines is a holistic and sustainable Inn/Hiker Hostel with a unique farm stay experience. It sits on 40 acres of land with wooded trails and a pond to sit by. We have a veggie garden, fruit trees, chickens, and ducks. *electric fencing is LIVE!* We utilize solar energy and have energy efficient rated buildings. The owners of the property, Chelsey and Jon live with with their two young kids and dogs on the premises. The dogs are unleashed and friendly (though they will come running and barking loudly to say hi)! We have a yoga studio and offer classes upon request. We have many games for you to use, a bluetooth movie projector, walking trails (sometimes needing a bit of maintenance), a fire pit and grill. The property is in the woods rustic woods of Vermont, amongst all of its seasons. Please note that we do our best to maintain the property as weather arises, but the walkways, some of which are a bit steep, may be snowy, icy or otherwise. Please come prepared with a vehicle and shoes that are suited for the season of your arrival (mud, snow and ice) for both our property and the town road we live on. Checking in during daylight hours is advised. Nearby, the town of Woodstock in only minutes away with cute shops and restaurants. There are many local hikes, national and state parks, the Quechee Gorge, white water rapids, The VAST (snowmobile trails), ski resorts and array of local events to attend.

Looking for a warm and cozy space? Our 12acres are beautifully wooded with our pond as the central point of interest.  Camping with a trailer is a fun experience.  While we do not have a kitchen, we provide propane grill, BBQ grill shared refrigerators, pans, utensils, and dishwashing area, Please expect some vintage aspects, such as door handles, screens, windows, that function according to their age.  These are not new modern trailers and we think that adds to the appeal! However they are clean and cozy!Your trailer is down by the pond, the wildlife clay bottom is spring fed, swimming is allowed during daylight hours only and it is "Swim at your own Risk". Please read the house rules regarding rinsing off and refraining from getting suntan oil etc. in the pond.  We usually have wood on site for sale, advance request is much appreciated and please pay upon arrival with cash, $10 per ample bundle and $15 for a bag of charcoal.  We do not deliver after 5pm so please order in advance. PLEASE NOTE- you do not have our property to yourselves. We live onsite and on any given night, both trailers can be rented. The cook station, picnic table/benches under the pavilion and composting toilet are communally used. IMPORTANT-PLEASE PLAN TO CHECK IN BETWEEN 4 and 6:30 pm as this is not a location where we can accommodate arrivals after dark. After checking in, you can head back out for dinner, we are a mere 5 miles from Quechee. We further request that you communicate your arrival time no later that early the day of so that we can greet you. We plan our day around your arrival and ask that you respect our time as well.  Any photography done with our property must be for personal use only and not professional use nor intended for publication. You must have advance (prior to arrival) permission for professional photography which will also require a contract for fees and terms. Come stay on our quiet and scenic farm. Easily accessible from Rt 89 and Rt 4. Our Pick Your Own Blueberry fields open in July. Clay Hill Corners is a 10 acre working Blueberry Farm. We have PYO Blueberries and a farm stand open from mid July to August. We sell organically grown blueberries and produce locally. Learn more about this land: Our private Sugar Shack is at the end of our blueberry fields and faces the forest. The Sugar Shack sleeps two in a comfy double bed with clean sheets and a fleece blanket. I wash the linens and blanket in hot water for each and every booking. Please bring your own extra blankets or sleeping bag if the weather is cold. An additional clean quilt with duvet cover can be added for a $ 10 per booking fee. There is a small porch, a charcoal grill, four chairs, a hammock, a fire ring, fire wood, clean potable cold water, a solar shower, and an outhouse. We provide the firewood for the fire ring and we provide charcoal and lighter fluid for the charcoal grill. There is space available next to Sugar Shack in the field for additional tents or small RVs. (There is no electricity.) The upcharge for additional campers after the first two people is $5 per person per night. Hiking trails through field and forest start at your door. We have a 3 mile round trip hike to Harlow Brook with a map. We are on the edge of a wildlife corridor and often see deer, coyotes, fox, waterfowl, songbirds and the occasional bear. (Keep food in your car at night so that the bear does not eat it!) We are above the Ottauquechee River at North Hartland Lake. We have rentable canoes and a kayak. We can transport you to and pick you up for a canoe trip on the Connecticut River or to North Hartland Lake.. We are located two miles from Quechee, 7 miles from historic Woodstock to the west, and 7 miles to hip White River Junction to the east and 8 1/2 miles to Dartmouth College and the Appalachian Trail. There are fun casual restaurants with some sit down and take-out nearby and our local Jakes Market can provide you with a nice selection of groceries. Hot Air Balloon pilots often take off and land in our fields and it is always a magical site. We can connect you with local pilots if you wish to purchase a Balloon Adventure.

We are 420 friendly and geared towards hosting those interested in arts, music, meditation, and ecology. We are currently building a Geodesic dome that will be available to rent soon. However it is currently a bit of a construction site, so pardon the appearance. Also, it should be noted that there is currently no Wi-Fi or cell service. Please be aware that Vermont prohibits out-of-state Firewood. In the future we hope to have firewood for sale, until then firewood can be purchased locally. About

Camp Plymouth State Park is rich with history. You can practically taste it in the air when you visit. Once upon a time, the area was occupied by a quiet little farm, where a small river by the name of Buffalo Brook was occasionally fished by the owner of the farm. Then one day he found gold and word got out. Buffalo Brook became Gold Brook, a mine opened up and the rest, as they say, is history. You can still pan for gold there today, so save yourself a trip out west if you’re an aspiring prospector.

In 1927 the Boy Scouts of America bought the land and built themselves a hefty outpost, giving the park its current name of Camp Plymouth. If Boy Scouts found this area attractive enough to settle in, you know it has first-rate outdoorsy fun. Whether you want to ride horses, hike until your toenails fall out (ew?), or fish in Buffalo Brook like the old farmer, Camp Plymouth is the place to do it.

When to go

The best time to visit Camp Plymouth State Park is during the summer months, when the weather is warm and all park facilities are fully operational.
