This property overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river (no access to) has two cabins to choose from, one sleeps two people and the other can accommodate three. The property is such a peaceful spot! We have a rustic outhouse, and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 9am. So that means Sundays are not available or evenings. The cabin is outfitted with a comfy bed, fridge, and microwave and coffee maker. We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well! Enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and listen to the birds. Bottled water is included as well and placed in your fridge upon arrival. Potable water also easily accessible. We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you. We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also, pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time. So, with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river. Our tent and yurt sites are located on 5 acres of private woods and are 4 acres apart to allow for maximum privacy for our guests! Parking for both sites are shared. The tent is 50 yards up a rustic wooded path through the woods and the yurt is an 800 yard (10 minute) uphill walk from the parking area. Both sites are adjacent to our local network of hiking/biking trails that connect to the summit of Mount Agassiz, which offers stunning views of Franconia Notch. Additionally, within a half hour drive, you have access to some of the best hiking in the North East. We are happy to provide recommendations! The surrounding towns are home to three different breweries, numerous restaurants serving up delicious food and quaint main streets. Through the generous permission of surrounding landowners and the stewardship of the Bethlehem Trails Association, guests can access this trail network to enjoy the views from the summit of Mount Agassiz for top notch single-track mountain biking. We live one town over and are just a phone call away. If you walk the trails, you may encounter a friendly neighbor's dog but all our guests enjoy the privacy and solitude the mountain provides. The SiloSide barn and homestead is better known around town as the "Old Somers Farm" in reference to the day when the barn housed 60 head of cows. The farm was a part of the Cabot Creamery Cooperative, and closed this era in the late 1980s. Prior to being a dairy farm consisting of over 500 acres, the property served as a tavern, inn, tannery, and has always been a traditional, well-loved farmhouse. Our farmhouse was built in 1785, and the barn built around the 1830s and expanded in 1941. The soil here is rich, and the forest full of wildlife. We've named our home "SiloSide" as tribute to the magic we feel on the non-road facing, silo-side of the barn, where you'll be camping.

The Bread and Puppet, Highland Center for the Arts, Barre Oprah house, art galleries, etc within an hour drive in any direction. A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators. Massage including scar release, and MPS, Cranial Release, energy work with tuning forks and singing bowls are available. Singing bowl concert in the gardens can also happen! Expect the unexpected! This land is the home to Brad and Sarah, cats, gardens and a variety of wildlife. It is here that we run Roots School, a wilderness earth skills school, instructing adults and youth alike. The land has over a half a mile of river frontage and several streams, a beautiful varied forest, rambling topography, and plenty of wildlife. Many lessons in tracking may be found as whitetails, moose, black bear, fishers, bobcats, porcupine, coyotes, foxes, mink, ermine, snowshoe hare, wild turkey, and ruffled grouse, are seen and tracked. Often times we are also lucky enough to catch a hawk circling the pasture and to hear the barred owls calls in the darkness of night. The diversity of plants, trees, and animals make this an ideal place to study and grow, or simply hang out in and experience.

We live on 6 acres of woods and hay fields. Larry used to hay the fields, now the local dairy farmer is haying the fields. This property was a fallow dairy farm called the Common View Farm when we bought it in 2007. We hear the name came from the fact that we can see the Craftsbury Common from the height of the property. Legend holds that people have seen strange lights and orbs in the area. It may just be a yarn told by the locals to the new flatlanders. I have never noticed anything of the sort and I have been looking. Who doesn't like a good New England ghost story? There are 20 acres of hay fields, 6 acres are woods. We have one old goat, Brownie, and our dog, Tinker, who runs the land and loves dog friends as well as humans. Our views are of the Lowell Mountains closest and the Green Mountains in the distance. You can see the Lowell wind farm on the horizon. We have a large garden and raspberry patch. The house closest to the forest path to the camp no longer belongs to us rather neighbors who value their privacy. To be good neighbors we ask our guests to stay within the bounds of the property. It is from the beginning of the path and the 6 acres of woods where the camp is located. You know when you've reachd the edge of our property where the path ends and where you see a sign notifying property boundary edge. Learn more about this land: The Northwoods Gypsy Wagon is a 3-minute walk into the woods from the parking area. You can have all the solitude you'd like or visit the nearby towns. In this off-grid wagon, you will have an indoor cooking stove (2 burner propane) and a propane stove for the cooler nights but no running water, therefore no indoor plumbing. Fresh water, battery operated lights, solar panel which provides one lamp and a place to plug in your phone, coffee/tea set ups. Wi-Fi/cell cov is not available. There is a privy exclusively for the wagon and a place for a cold-water wash up. This is truly tiny space, however; sleeps 2 adults. You will have a table and chairs for a sit down chat or meal. In the dryer months fire-burning may be ill-advised or outright prohibited, you'll be advised.

Weekend Trip to Burke Line Farm

What a beautiful spot! And so much work put into the campsites. We loved the bar area. It's unfortunate we had rain and mud, but I imagine in a more dry day it would be spectacular. Absolutely loved being right next to the sheep, they were adorable.

Beautiful!! “The Library” was fantastic. The views were incredible. The artwork, quotes, and excerpts on the walls; reflect the environment perfectly. No frills; but a kind, mindful return to nature. Nature never needed the frills anyway

This is my second time staying at Green Mountain Glamping; I stayed there last year and enjoyed it so much I wanted to come back! I've come both times for a personal retreat, and it is a great location for that: safe, beautiful accommodations, close to biking, hiking, swimming, friendly hosts. I highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Glamping

We really enjoyed Betsey's campsite. She was very clear in communication leading up to our stay and very welcoming. Everything was very well kept and made our stay very easy and pleasant. During our time in late May, we are birdwatchers, we saw or heard Magnolia, Pine, Yellow Rumped, Chestnut Sided, Nashville, and Blackburnian warblers, and also Veery, Hermit Thrush, and a Winter Wren from our campsite. Very beautiful setting in Vermont!

We love staying at the Burke Line Farm, it is quiet, beautiful, very well maintained, and easy to find. Waking up to horses and sheep in nearby pastures makes for the most peaceful mornings!

This was my first time using Hipcamp and I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 night stay on the bus. I wish I brought less of my own food so that I could eat more of Carol's, which was amazing. From the welcome board to the breakfast sandwich, apple juice and coffee, it was all truly delicious. I loved how beautiful and quiet the farm was. I also had access to various gorgeous hikes without having to go super far. There's a whole bunch of sight seeing I did not get to so I will definitely be back!

Loved spending time here for a rainy Memorial Day weekend. Everything was exactly as expected/described and we are happy with the choice to stay here. Great to explore that area of Vermont and I hope to be back again!

Jessica was a lovely host and the cabin was lovely! The cabin was well stocked with all the things that we could need. The cabin was so cosy and warm. Jessica was very communicative and kind. The surrounding nature was very beautiful.

Weekend Trip to Burke Line Farm

We enjoyed staying in the Old Fox cabin. It was clean, simple, easy to get to, and about 10/15 minutes to kingdom trails. We loved having access to the covered cooking area, cornhole, and free firewood with axes for splitting. I loved being able to make a fire and appreciated all the wood, but think it would be a good idea to have some water at the campground as a safety measure (even just a 5gallon bucket for emergencies). We would happily come back!

Betsey provided an extremely well equipped and convenient location for our trip to ride Kingdom trails. The space was clean and cozy, and Betsey was extremely accommodating. The outdoor shower and bathroom were a huge plus, and so were the eggs from their chickens! We would absolutely recommend staying here, and we can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely perfect for us. We rented it for a month. Plenty of parking. Everything we needed. Plenty. Of parking for our boat and additional small pop up truck camper. Super clean porta potty. Excellent

4 nights at Streeter Mountain Farm

We absolutely loved our stay on Streeter Mountain's land. We stayed in the treehouse. It was so private and absolutely gorgeous. It was by far our favorite place to stay through Hipcamp so far and we have stayed in several places.

Weekend Trip to Vermont Rustic Retreat

The view is AMAZING. We stayed 2 nights with our golden retriever while attending a local event. Kathleen was an awesome host and very helpful. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed playing the board games in the cabin while warming up by the wood stove at night.
