Learn more about this land: You can enjoy glamping in our greenhouse-tent for peace and tranquility. There is a cabin built inside the tent.  It is under a canopy of trees with a cool pond breeze prevailing. The bed and linens are first rate for a very comfortable stay. There are shelves, potable water and a table within. It is heated in the cool temps and fan cooled in the warmer days.  There is a kayak and paddleboard available to borrow. There is a dryflush toilet, hand sink and outdoor heated shower in the back of the tent. Cooking is on charcoal grill and toaster oven. There are dishes, cups and utensils for your use. as well as coffee press and hot water boiler. The 40 acre pond is 65 feet deep. It is a kettle pond which is spring fed with no river inlets to pollute it.  Access is a little tricky with 100 yard hike from the parking area down a steep slope.  The pond is stocked with bass and trout for great fishing. The birds are amazing.  Henry David Thoreau wrote about White Pond in his book, Walden as the "emerald eyes of the world."  This is a place that magic happens.

The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site. Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species. The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent. Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!! There are two chairs in the tipi, which if removed at night, make floor room for four other sleeping bags. 'Forest Bathing' for miles! If you're a larger group booking Salamander Hollow main camp with its Sleeping Library, Tipi & Slovenian Beehive House, you might consider renting this additional Tiny Cabin want to entertain all in glamping style, utilizing its amenities; as well, providing another bathroom/shower and guest bedroom for those who prefer being indoors while in the great outdoors. Our 2 acre property and house is located in the center of the small town of Leverett. We have two sites, a private camping spot located down by the stream, and a yurt at the edge of the yard. We are near a paved road with moderate traffic. The property abuts many acres of woods and there are a number of great walking trails nearby. A half-mile walk behind the house takes you through the forest to an outlook on Leverett Pond. The Peace Pagoda is just a few miles up the road. Other nearby destinations include Cushman Market and Cafe, the Montague Bookmill, and Mt. Toby waterfall, caves, and lookout tower. Leverett Pond has a public boat launch nearby. We have canoes, paddles, and lifejackets available for rent--inquire for details! The area has excellent bike riding as well. The custom-designed OUTHOUSE and Solar Shower **(Please NOTE, this is an OUTDOOR Solar Shower to use during warm months)** fire pit, and BBQ grill are just steps away outside the Yurt. When you arrive, you will walk along "Rocky Brook" and a two-acre pasture as you take the trail from your parking site to the Yurt. There is a map of the property in your "Welcome Guide", where you may walk the paths to the pond and "Mason Brook" on the far side of the property. The space is heated by a wood-burning stove during the winter months and cooled with a window air conditioner during the summer months. ALL of the essentials are provided for your cooking needs. There are books, a variety of board games, and "Corn Hole." Other things to note: You can expect a unique lodging experience that will disconnect you from your routine and reconnect you with nature and those you are sharing it with. We've designed and furnished the space to give you a comfortable, memorable experience. From the whimsical pieces, cozy bed and lounge chairs, cast-iron wood stove, air conditioner, high-speed fan, and outdoor fire pit, to name a few. Clean towels, linens, robes, and slippers (to keep) are provided (robes and slippers are provided during cold months only). There are extra blankets stored in the chest and round seats for those extra cold nights. The composting outhouse is just a few steps away from the door. It has a skylight and a solar lamp during nighttime hours. The Yurt area is private, but you may encounter wildlife such as deer, foxes, bunnies, raccoons, or other wildlife. We haven’t been lucky enough to have a moose on our property (yet), but they DO live in the area. Bear sightings are rare, but do NOT leave your food outside! FYI, the Yurt is a few hundred feet from a 2-lane highway, so you may hear some traffic sometimes, but it is not a heavily traveled road. There is a WELCOME GUIDE with information on many things to do in the area and where you can buy any necessities you may need. We are LGBTQIA+ friendly! The tiny home / cabin was just perfect. It was on the property of the host's house, but felt very private. Roomier than I even expected, super comfortable, and well built / insulated as there was a pretty big storm the night we stayed and nothing leaked. Well-maintained and thoughtfully done.

This is a quiet and serene spot. In no way does it resemble a modern corporate hotel. Rooms are in an old Victorian and while the age of the building shows in some ways, the friendliness of the hosts made my stay here a good one. Will stay again.

This trip was a wonderful experience. The wood stove kept things nice and warm on the chilly nights. The views in the morning were beautiful and Judy was a great host! I would recommend packing light because the walk down is a little steep, the wheel barrel was Great for that.

2 nights at Pine Brook Retreat

I absolutely loved this campsite! The cabin was cute and cozy, and the nearby brook was so pleasant to listen to and watch flow. I even took a dip in it to clean up a bit! The campsite itself is in the trees and shaded so the 85 degree days felt more like 75 degree days at the camp, which was much better for my dog who overheats. Everything was clean. Plenty of drinking water was provided. The toilet nearby was great. I loved the swing. The king size air mattress provided was perfect for me and my dog to cuddle up at night. April was a very thoughtful host and made sure I settled in okay and asked if I needed anything. 10/10 would recommend! I hope to come back soon!

My pup and I had an amazing time and would definitely be back in the future. Mary was incredibly responsive and accommodating from start to finish. The day before arrival, she sent a very detailed guide with recommendations for things to do nearby and answered every question I had within minutes throughout the trip. The cabin was clean, cozy, and stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay — stove, grill, kitchen essentials, bathroom/shower, washer/dryer, and an awesome infrared sauna. She also left complimentary honey along with treats for my puppy, which was a thoughtful touch. I ended up purchasing honey from her as well since the complementary honey was really good. She provided me recommendations based on my what I'll be using the honey for and she made the purchasing process very easy. One thing I really appreciated was the privacy. Everything was seamless and well organized, and despite how available and helpful she was, we never even had to meet face to face. Even though it rained for most of our stay, we still had a fantastic time. The nearby hiking trails and farm within walking distance made the trip memorable, and my pup absolutely loved exploring the property. Overall, a relaxing and memorable stay with a host who clearly cares about her guests’ experience.

I had such a wonderful weekend here - such a cozy spot with a beautiful river view (lots of birds!). Easy to access and still felt super secluded and surrounded by nature. Jae is also amazing and made everything so easy and comfortable!! 10/10 recommend!!

Weekend Trip to Winimusett Brook Farm Retreat

I’m so glad we chose this cabin for our trip. The weather was awful, but we didn’t care because we had such a cozy little space that still had beautiful views of the woods around us. The land is gorgeous and there are a lots of fun breweries to check out within 20 minutes and closer. The bed and the linens provided were so comfortable and we slept great. The wood burning stove kept us warm and dry and the propane stove was great for cooking and coffee. You don’t need to bring much to this place!

There were sites on either sides of us but it wasn't too loud at all and still felt private, everything was very clean and the instructions provided were very clear. Donna and Sam were great. Loved that there was wood on site for the fire pit, we really just had to show up with food, everything else was provided and thought of. I will say the horse trailer was very cozy and we loved the views of the pond, but I will say it can get loud if it is raining! If you don't mind that, it's a great, clean and cozy place to stay.

We celebrated some Sweet Sixteens with 6 teens who had a blast during their stay at the Beehive Cabin, Sleep Library & Tipi while the grownups enjoyed the comforts of the fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and sauna at the tiny cabin down the hill. We gathered for a pizza party, made campfire s'mores and explored the easily accessible hiking trails and a great farm stand within walking distance. Mary is an exceptional host who has thought of everything to make her guests comfortable. She is very communicative and provides a lot of information about what to expect and do during your stay. Such a peaceful place to unplug and connect with nature and one another. We are also happy that we brought some delicious honey home to keep enjoying the experience!

Weekend Trip to Salamander Hollow Healing Habitat

This is a fantastic and unique place, and the host is the most helpful, considerate, and accommodating person, who made our stay truly unforgettable! She answered every single question with a gazillion of suggestions which truly helped plan the trip better - e.g. she suggested that we eat lunch at the Apple Hill Farm or do a hike to the nearby reservoir and to Mt. Grace next day. Sleeping in the cozy beehive was very pleasant and safe, no need to worry about the bees - they indeed mind their business and don't get into the house. The table next to the pizza oven outside offers amazing opportunities for group meals. The farm stand shop 10 min away offers a great variety of food for breakfast. I recommend planning what to bring to this place for cooking - wood, coal, utensils (knives, spoons, forks, spatulas) - assume you need to have everything from home for your comfort - there are only few things available, and we were notified about this in advance. Also be ready for a short 2 min walk to the bathroom with a flashlight if late, - the bathroom with shower is located in a different house. It was a fabulous experience, and Mary deserves "the best host" medal! I will recommend this to every friend!

From relaxing in the hammock listening to birds and watching ducks to going to sleep serenaded by frogs, it was a peaceful get-away. There are several places to hike within a short drive. I recommend Purgatory Chasm.

Healing ï's a great word. I take sleeping pills and it's become an addiction but I didn't need them here. We rented the whole property and I would highly recommend this if you need to think or relax and just have privacy.

Wonderful spot for bird-watching! Expand your life list. Feels like you are far away from everything on the island, but you can be back on land in 10 minutes. Hosts Mary and Ingo were super accommodating. Ingo kindly even helped me to get the canoe back to the island after capsizing in a wind gust! Good news—I was a much better paddler by the end of my stay. It was raining a good bit of the time, but it didn’t slow the birds down and was a great background for reading actual printed books! Also, lots of games and activities in the cabin. Being early May, it was cold. An extra layer of clothing and a good sleeping bag made all the difference. I live nearby and have been jealously eying the cabin for 40 years. Thanks to Mary and Ingo for bringing the dream alive!
