Once written about by Henry David Thoreau in Walden. He called it one of the "emerald eyes of the world" . A magical place yet so close to Boston. Learn more about this land: You can enjoy glamping in our greenhouse-tent for peace and tranquility. There is a cabin built inside the tent.  It is under a canopy of trees with a cool pond breeze prevailing. The bed and linens are first rate for a very comfortable stay. There are shelves, potable water and a table within. It is heated in the cool temps and fan cooled in the warmer days.  There is a kayak and paddleboard available to borrow. There is a dryflush toilet, hand sink and outdoor heated shower in the back of the tent. Cooking is on charcoal grill and toaster oven. There are dishes, cups and utensils for your use. as well as coffee press and hot water boiler. The 40 acre pond is 65 feet deep. It is a kettle pond which is spring fed with no river inlets to pollute it.  Access is a little tricky with 100 yard hike from the parking area down a steep slope.  The pond is stocked with bass and trout for great fishing. They greeted us upon arrival and told us some fun stories. They showed us everything we needed to know and then let us enjoy. The dock/raft/boat thing was such a fun surprise. We got to cruise around the pond, fish and jump in. Comfortable bed in the cabin/tent as well. Nice temperature inside despite the warm temps outside.

Beautiful and relaxing, Claudine and Henry are great hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The pond was so warm and the locals around it were friendly as well. We can’t wait to go back 😄💗

Cozy serenity

Our stay at the cabin by the pond was just what we needed as both of us are from the city. Very, very quiet, comfortable bed with a view of the pond. We were able to use the canoe and take a ride out on the lake. Walking/biking paths nearby and West Concord with modern amenities is only 10 minutes away. It was a peaceful and comfortable getaway. Claudine was a gracious host. I highly recommend for couples who just want to enjoy each other's company and the peaceful outdoors.

I had a wonderful stay at Ponderings. The pond is beautiful throughout the day, and you can enjoy it from the porch, various benches, one of the docks, or go out on it. (I did with a paddle board.) The cabin is very comfortable, clean, practical, and beautifully set up with a great view of the pond from inside or on the porch. Multiple fire pit and stove options too. The hosts were very responsive, gave clear directions and great tips for the area, comfortable bed, the wifi worked well if you need that, and the shower worked great (heated up in a flash, good pressure, cool set up). It was beautiful and peaceful. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Such a beautiful, unique and cozy experience right on the water! Claudine and Henry are incredible hosts. The cabin has more than everything we needed. Our anniversary weekend couldn’t have been more perfect.

Fantastic experience

My daughter and I had the most fabulous time here! The views from the living space are breathtaking and the pond is warm and clear. We spent most of the time enjoying the water using a canoe, tire, paddle board and just swimming. Claudine was a fantastic host and went well above and beyond. The space was clean, the bed and bedding very comfortable and the dry flush toilet was an added bonus. Everything was supplied that we needed. We left refreshed and will be back 100%. Thanks for hosting us!

So lovely! Thank you Claudine and Henry for making such a sweet space and being so welcoming. The lake was gorgeous and a dream to swim in. The dwelljng was the perfect mix of comfort/amenities and nature/camping.

Claudine is a very warm and helpful host. White bond is clean and great for swimming. We caught 4 fishs with lure. I hope we could stay more days there. The cabin is small but has everything you need.

This lakeside property is absolutely gorgeous. It's hard to believe how close to Boston it is- with almost no noise- other than birds- including a piliated woodpecker and owl.

Wonderful location to rest in peace and quiet... Would highly recommend for the summer or even in the winter once the snow hits.. Claudine is a wonderful host, most thankful for everything she had done for me once I arrived to the location... Would 100% be coming back

We absolutely loved this place. An amazing get away from the city and it's very close to Boston too. I was worried that we're gonna have problems with the commute, since we weren't driving, but we took the train to Concord and were able to Uber to the place and back very easily. The host is the so kind and friendly and even helped us with the fire. Would definitely recommend and it's gonna be my go to place whenever I feel like I need some quiet and peace.

Amazing little cabin in October, with a beautiful view of the lake and the autumn leaves and some little flying/jumping? Fish!!! Loved a cannot ride in the lake. It was pretty cold out and still very warm and cozy inside!

Perfect Reset

This place is pure magic and has a lot of love put into it. The owners of the property are extremely gracious and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better place to reset and find some peace. It's a rare find and I felt very lucky that they opened their space up to outsiders. The cabin is charming and has thoughtful lighting throughout. It has electricity and is stocked with what you need for coffee, tea and cooking on a small grill or wood stove. They also provided plates and silverware, fresh towels, blankets, toilet paper and paper towels. Theres an area for dish washing next to the main house. We packed everything in and did not need all of what we brought by any stretch. If you need other items theres a town and stores along the way within a 5-15 minute drive from the property. The outdoor shower works great and keeps the water hot for a full shower length. You are RIGHT on the water, and it's the cleanest pond I've ever seen so make sure to respect the area. There's beautiful hiking right across the way. We had planned to only be on the property in the morning and evenings but you really can't beat staying on the water all day. The hill leading down to the cabin is slightly steep but not bad at all. It's very well marked and maintained. They provided us a wagon to help carry down what we packed in. They have a fridge they allowed access to in the base of the main house, and provided a cooler on the porch of the cabin we were in.

Awesome 4 day stay over Labor Day. Beautiful pristine water and a cozy cabin surrounded by green. We loved getting out onto the trails and using the floating dock to fish off. Can’t wait to comeback.

Wonderful white pond weekend

We went to Claudine’s place for a girls weekend. The pond was stunning. We had the best time taking the dock out into the middle of the water and jumping off. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Would highly recommend, and we will absolutely be back. Bring bug spray.

Hosts were nice and kind. Tent/cabin was cozy, pond is beautiful. For the price and to be considered “glamping”there should be a little more effort, place has a lot of potential and a little more tidying to outside would make a huge difference. Fire ants in the plants. Grills and fire place were dirty and used from past renters. (Not propane, coals that were supplied didn’t work.) Bought our own. Call me biased but preferred it to be more private. This is my opinion only, you very much share the communal space with owners. Freezer does not work. Toilet compostable which means you need to change toilet bag after every use is not what I was expecting. Again not a horrible time but unfortunately we will not be returning under these circumstances unfortunately.

This was a perfectly tranquil stay. Claudine was very nice and helpful. We chatted for a while on our first morning and we could tell she holds a deep appreciation of this place. I recommend searching for 1 Tracy St in order to find the driveway, as we had some trouble getting in after dark. The walk down to the cabin is steep! The nearby town of Concord was adorable with friendly people, good coffee, food, and antiques. We wish we could stay longer! Looking forward to returning.

Such a nice location whether you are coming into the area from out of town or just need a weekend break from the city (which was us). The tent/cabin was comfortable and looked out over the pond. The outdoor shower might be the nicest and warmest one I've ever used. The pond itself was serene and quiet. Perfect for paddle boarding and canoeing, which our dog especially enjoyed. Claudine is a super interesting and great host. My only recommendation is bring bug spray and other means to detour bugs. They were out in force.

We loved glamping on Claudine’s land! They were very accommodating and had plenty of awesome things for us to use including a paddle board! We definitely overpacked as Claudine provided a lot of necessities. A plus is that our dog had an amazing time! Claudine was also awesome and easy to talk to and had plenty of cool stories to share. The only thing we failed to think about prior is how buggy it is as it’s on a pond. I definitely recommend some good mosquito repellent as we were getting eaten by them 🤣 Thank you for such a serene staycation 😎
