Once written about by Henry David Thoreau in Walden. He called it one of the "emerald eyes of the world" . A magical place yet so close to Boston. Learn more about this land: This winter we are offering up our cottage with an additional winterized tent for studio or additional guests.  You need to walk about 100 yards down a gravel path to get to our secluded home. It is heated with two pellet stoves. One in the bedroom wing, the other in the livingroom/kitchen.  Skating, ice fishing, and crosscountry skiing right outside your door when the weather is right. Peace and calm when the weather is harsh. The house is fully stocked with cooking. linens, and a bathroom.  During the summer, glamping in our greenhouse-tent for peace and tranquility.  It is under a canopy of trees with a cool pond breeze prevailing. The bed and linens are first rate for a very comfortable stay. There are shelves, potable water and a desk within. It is heated in the cool temps and fan cooled in the warmer days.  There is a canoe and paddleboard available to borrow. The main house is attached by decks, the bathroom is shared with the main house and there is a kitchen for you to use. The 40 acre pond is 65 feet deep. It is a kettle pond which is spring fed with no river inlets to pollute it.  Access is a little tricky with 100 yard hike from the parking area down a steep slope.  The pond is stocked with bass and trout for great fishing. The birds are amazing.  Henry David Thoreau wrote about White Pond in his book, Walden as the "emerald eyes of the world."  This is a place that magic happens.

Little heaven on Earth
Thank you Claudine and Emory , the cabin in the wood was comfy and we had lot of fun using the paddle to go in the middle of the pond.

Such a nice location whether you are coming into the area from out of town or just need a weekend break from the city (which was us). The tent/cabin was comfortable and looked out over the pond. The outdoor shower might be the nicest and warmest one I've ever used. The pond itself was serene and quiet. Perfect for paddle boarding and canoeing, which our dog especially enjoyed. Claudine is a super interesting and great host. My only recommendation is bring bug spray and other means to detour bugs. They were out in force.

We definitely would come again!
We loved glamping on Claudine’s land! They were very accommodating and had plenty of awesome things for us to use including a paddle board! We definitely overpacked as Claudine provided a lot of necessities. A plus is that our dog had an amazing time! Claudine was also awesome and easy to talk to and had plenty of cool stories to share. The only thing we failed to think about prior is how buggy it is as it’s on a pond. I definitely recommend some good mosquito repellent as we were getting eaten by them 🤣 Thank you for such a serene staycation 😎

Lovely Pond Weekend
We had a great weekend at Claudine and Henry's little cabin. Weather was a mixed bag for us, but when it was sunny and hot we loved eating our meals and lying out on the two docks, swimming, canoeing, fishing, and stand up paddle boarding with all the gear provided by Claudine. Our dog came too and enjoyed all the smells. The cabin itself is clean and comfortable with a potable water jug, an electric kettle, a toaster oven, and some dishes to use. Outdoor shower is lovely. We hung out a bit with Claudine and Henry who are very friendly and easy to be around. This is a nice private feeling pond experience that you can't easily find around here.

Beautiful getaway. Cabin was very comfortable and clean. Lovely having coffee on the dock in the morning. Lots of fish! You could see sunfish and trout swimming by the dock. The water was so clear. The hosts were lovely as well.
