Another lovely visit to Journey's End! We were early in the season so it was chilly, but we had an amazing time away from home with friends. We rented both cabins and both treehouses so the kids in the group had different places to explore and options for sleeping. Made for a very fun weekend; visiting the goats and chickens, cooking by the fire, even got a little fishing in on the small pond in the back of the property. And we wouldn't leave a weekend at JE without bringing home some of their maple syrup - it's really amazing. Highly recommend a visit!

What a beautiful stay... not only was the cabin and farm beautiful, but Kristin and her family were so incredibly welcoming, warm, and enthusiastic for our time here.
We got to see the wonderful animals on the property like goats and the sweetest cats. The table area was perfect for our dining and the bathrooms were so convenient. It is all-around dream stay!
Would come here again in a heartbeat.

We had an incredible stay at this cozy camping cabin in the woods. The cabin was surrounded by imposing trees The owner was friendly and responsive and he met us and showed us around and was really nice. We bought bundles of wood from him and it was cheaper than outside.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway, look no further!

We had a wonderful night on Butternut Creek—the air was fresh and sweet, the stars were clear and bright, and the sound of the creek soothed us to sleep. The beds were clean and remarkably comfortable, and we enjoyed a terrific campfire at night. It was a huge treat for my toddler to meet the people and animals at Journey's End and do some exploring around the farm. Journey's End Farm is a true retreat. For generations, the owners have tended this land and from the gardens to the beautiful wood cabins, it shows. We were warmly welcomed with a personal tour and an introduction to the goats and chickens by name. The precious history of camp is literally written on the walls by decades of previous campers. Falling asleep to the sound of the creek is a dream. Do not leave without stocking up on their wood fired Maple Syrup!

I loved staying in Journeys's cabin. The setting was peaceful and beautiful. We had a blast cooking dinner on the campfire and our toddler loved looking at the tractors and farm animals. The hosts were beyond nice and bonus, dog friendly!

I was a camper at Journey’s End over 30 years ago, being back there for the first time brought back so many amazing memories! The set up was great, clean cabin with a full sized bed and two bunk beds. Great fire pit and grill and covered picnic table for eating. The bathrooms were a short walk away and also very clean. We got to pick blueberries, hang out with goats and laying hens and walk around a beautiful working farm. Hosts are so welcoming and made sure we had what we needed. We will be back soon!!!!

Our stay at Journey’s End was a quaint, tranquil escape from the city. We met some chickens, goats, and cows, made dinner over the campfire which had an adjustable grill, and the hosts were extremely nice and accommodating, and even let us pick some of their fresh blueberries! Really tremendous bathrooms, and it was only a a short drive from nature hikes and lake swimming. Highly recommended, would stay again.

Lovely property and amazing hosts! We booked both cabins, with some friends, and despite the heat wave, we had a fantastic time. Andy was super helpful in arranging specifics for our reservation - and Kristen met us on arrival and toured us through the thoughtfully kept farm and guest cabins. Cabins are perfectly simple and charming, (very) nearby bathrooms and showers were very appreciated. We met the chickens, cats, goats and more and we look forward to returning. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time on our trip! The farm was beautiful and relaxing, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the hot shower was wonderful. The host was very friendly and took the time to show our kids around the farm and introduced them to the animals. Highly recommend.

Our family had an amazing time over the Memorial Day weekend. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, allowing us to feel safe on the grounds. We appreciated the mini tour of the farm, such an awesome experience! The creek behind the treehouse, was a plus. Listening to the water babbling was healing along with the birds chirping. Super clean flush toilets and showers (each family gets their own bathroom in the common building) Having running water and sink on the campsite was so helpful. Absolutely a gorgeous grounds operated by a beautiful family.

We had a lovely time at Journey's End Farm. Part of the land used to be an old campground for kids, and we can see how exciting that must have been--there is a lot of land to explore with creeks, fields, and forests, along with neighborly goats and chickens. We also bought maple syrup and firewood from the hosts. We also really appreciated the showers and flush toilets. A really nice, rustic camping experience complete with amenities. Would love to be back.

Despite the rain, we loved our stay at Journey’s End. We absolutely loved the chickens and goats—they were the highlight of our stay along with our very gracious hosts. We also loved the wonderful vegetables from the garden, the fresh farm eggs and the maple syrup. The cabin was very comfortable too.! And loved that we had plenty of dry wood to keep us warm. We will definitely be coming back!

My fiance and I had a great time camping with Journey's End! We had a very nice greeting when we arrived, which set the tone for an awesome weekend.
The cabin has been well-maintained, the bed was comfy, and we loved hanging out on the covered sitting area outside late into the evening. Would highly recommend this place for your next adventure!

We loved our mother/daughter weekend at the Cabin!! Such a beautiful place! Kristin was awesome with our check in, gave us a tour and some history on the property! The farm is beautiful and Kristin was a welcoming host. It was a good intro to “camping” for our two toddler boys, with most of the same experiences as being outside in a tent—just with a cabin instead. We enjoyed gorgeous hikes in the area while there and my kids loved seeing the goats and chickens. The cabin is a bit closer to the road than I was expecting, which is something to keep in mind if you have young kids like mine who are prone to wander.

Our family’s stay at Journey’s End Farm was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend for families with small children- we have a 4 & 2 year old but this would be great for any kiddos 2+. The kids were so busy interacting with the land and checking out the animals they didn’t once ask for TV in our 4 day stay :) . They (and we) loved the creek, seeing the goats and chickens up close, hunting for frogs & insects, and looking for the barn cats roaming around.
We were welcomed, given a a brief tour, and then left to our own devices. We had privacy and yet still felt like welcome visitors when we saw anyone working on the farm. It was a great screen free getaway to recharge with family.

Highly recommend. We stayed here just one night but our hosts were really nice and the cabin was perfect. It was in great shape, clean, cozy and the beds were exactly what we needed. The setup is perfect for having a fire and BBQ.
There was a massive thunderstorm the night we were there so having a roof over our heads was just what we needed.
The goats and chickens were a nice bonus to hang out with, we really enjoyed our time there and will definitely be back for another trip maybe next summer.

Where to begin?! Journey’s End is an absolute gem on this planet. My 11 yo son and I stayed in the cabin on Butternut Creek. It was perfect! Spacious, clean as a cabin ought to be, good windows and we slept SO COMFORTABLY in the full-size bed. It was so nice using lanterns and candles as lighting, and the sound of the creek lulled us to sleep each night. The hosts are so kind, caring and hardworking. I loved hearing about the history and my son couldn’t get enough of the “frog pond”! We explored as they said we could and there even was a map! The tree house was so cool! We played in the creek, loved our covered picnic table area and fire pit with really cool swivel grate! The garden was so gorgeous and inspiring and their homemade maple syrup was delicious! We drove 40 min. And went tubing, hit up Bushkill Falls and Gouldsboro State Park which is about 8 mins up the road. Then to top it off, clean private bathrooms with private showers! So amaing!!

Journey's End Farm was great! We rented the Cabin on the Little Creek and it was lovely. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and we had a bathroom (separate from the cabin) to ourselves. Kristin was a great host, and my daughter loved helping her collect eggs. We enjoyed visits to Tobyhanna and Gouldsboro State Parks nearby. Boating at Tobyhanna was especially fun! Would definitely recommend this location!

We had a blast! The owners are really nice, friendly, responsive and helpful. They even shared their knowledge of wild plants and farm animals with the kids who loved it, they did not want to leave the farm. The fresh eggs, maple syrup, vegetables, quality meat, were a great addition to our camping food.
There are actually 2 separate bathrooms (with 2 hot water showers /2 sinks/ plenty of shelf space in each to put your items), which I didn’t expect. We used one and the other family who was there used the other one, very helpful when you are camping with little ones.
Make sure you pack warm clothes for the evening/night as it gets chilly, but again the host communicated with us ahead of time about that so we were not taken by surprise.
Make sure to check the Promised Land State Park with plenty of activities and trails.
I recommend this place 100% if you are looking to get away from stress and screens.

First, the practical details that can make or break a trip: The property was exactly as described in the listing. The cabin was clean and in good repair, with the bed made as promised with extra blankets available. Similarly, the campfire site and covered picnic table area were in good condition and ready to use. Andy reached out to us in advance to confirm our arrival time and was there to meet us and show us around.
On a more personal level, Andy had an exceptionally warm and welcoming manner (even before learning that I was a former Journey's End camper). He and his family make their entire property available for guests to roam, even providing a map and giving a little tour.
During our brief visit, we walked in the creek, which varies from ankle- to knee-deep for an average adult. It was clean and refreshing on a warm day. After drying off, we lit our fire (firewood was available for purchase) and prepared our supper. We appreciated having a sink near the picnic/campfire area. The bathroom, in a nearby building, was clean and fairly recently renovated. Andy left the bathroom light on overnight, making the building more visible and accessible in the dark. Nice touch!
Note to travelers: Google Maps told us to look on the wrong side of the street - it only took us about five seconds to figure it out and turn around, as street addresses were clearly visible on neighboring properties.
