1 night at Journey's End Farm

Beautiful, quiet farm. Cabin was cute and comfortable. Loved eating picnic dinner under the awning by the creek and making s'mores on the fire. Lovely, helpful hosts, friendly goats, clean bathrooms. A wonderful experience!! We'll be back!

The place is soo cute and quiet and clean!! shower outside is nice too, and the host was so nice. She was awesome and quick to suggest hikes and trips nearby. Can't wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Journey's End Farm

We had a lovely trip to Journey’s End! We typically tent camp but found this cabin to be a perfect fit for our annual camping trip! It was close to hiking and white water rafting (within an hour), and had the perfect vibe for our evenings at the site. The land was gorgeous. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area- thank you for the lovely getaway!

We spent the night at Jennifer's site, and it was awesome! The thought she has put into the camper's experience is apparent, as she has gone above and beyond at setting up a space where people can disconnect, relax, and enjoy each other's presence.

Weekend Trip to Journey's End Farm

Another lovely visit to Journey's End! We were early in the season so it was chilly, but we had an amazing time away from home with friends. We rented both cabins and both treehouses so the kids in the group had different places to explore and options for sleeping. Made for a very fun weekend; visiting the goats and chickens, cooking by the fire, even got a little fishing in on the small pond in the back of the property. And we wouldn't leave a weekend at JE without bringing home some of their maple syrup - it's really amazing. Highly recommend a visit!

Weekend Trip to Riverhouse Farm

Great spot right on the river. Amazing, kind hosts. Tent is canvas and has two full bunkbeds with air mattresses in it as well as a wood-burning stove. Campfire set up and picnic table with a little counter space and cupboard attached came in handy. Would definitely love to come back again soon!

My wife, our dog, and I spent the weekend at this amazing campsite and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Nestled right in front of the river, the spot is truly a slice of paradise. Being surrounded by nature, waking up to the soothing sound of birds singing—it was nothing short of magical. Despite the rain making the river rise and the water turn a bit muddy, it didn’t take away from how peaceful and refreshing the place felt. Richard and Mary were incredible hosts—so kind and thoughtful. They made sure we had everything we needed, from plenty of firewood to fresh farm eggs that were absolutely delicious. It was the perfect getaway, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy nature at its best.

The location and accommodations were great. Check in and out was seamless. An incredible spot to get away from it all and enjoy nature and some quiet.

1 night at Bear Beaver Farms

We stayed here overnight with our family and were absolutely in awe of the place. It gives off a rustic, primitive, off-the-grid vibe that's truly unique. If you're a family with kids looking for a safe yet quiet and adventurous spot, this is it. John even came by at night to check on us, which made us feel even more welcome and cared for. You really have to stay here to understand the vibe—it's something you feel more than anything else. There was definitely a fun rush of adrenaline at night, but in the best way possible. Highly recommend!

Rustic tent sites and log cabins on nearly 400 acres nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. The property has been in our family since the late 1800's, initially operating as an ochre mill. We are near the historic town of Jim Thorpe, Whitewater Rafting Adventures, Hickory Run State Park, Lehigh Gorge State Park, Tuscarora State Park, and more. ***PLEASE READ BELOW AND READ EACH SITE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING*** - Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. Cabins have electric, but no indoor plumbing. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. (Some sites are closer to port-a-johns than others.) We do not provide potable water or showers for tent campers but we allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. Cabins have a rustic outdoor shower available May-October. Please inquire for camper vans and pop ups. - FIREWOOD: Due to the threat of invasive pests, we do not allow firewood to be transported onto the grounds. We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. -We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds. -Check in is contactless. Journey's End Farm is a small family farm offering a diverse selection of ecologically grown vegetables, maple syrup, and free-range eggs. Everything that we sell is grown or produced on-site with the intention of nurturing the soil and ecology of the land. From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us. While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. We're always glad to point you in the right direction for a nice walk or a longer hike. You may be able to tag along collecting eggs from the hens or feeding some of the other animals we may have.
