Our Desert Domestead

The dome was such a fun experience! The bed was really comfortable, a nice selection of amenities yet still felt like you were “roughing it” a bit with the wholistic setup. We were greater as soon as we arrived and got a quick tutorial which was appreciated after a long drive and arriving in the dark. The view at night and sunrise was spectacular!

Amazing Dome Experience

This place was so wonderful! A really special spot snd the dome is amazing! I stayed here on my own for a night. It is safe and peaceful. I was greeted when I arrived and oriented to the space.. the dome is lovely. It has a water cooler, coffee, tea, and cookware. The bed is really comfortable and the temperature is regulated so I was perfectly comfortable. One side of the dome is all windows so you can see the sun rising from the bed. There is an outdoor shower and very clean porta potty just for that dome. No sharing of bathroom with anyone. It is such a beautiful area.. I would highly recommend this spot!

Mixed feelings

I want to believe this was a one off experience. As other reviews are very positive. The place itself is charming and beautiful. The hosts responsiveness and attention to detail was sub par. I received a few messages that had someone else’s name in them and were clearly copy pasted. And I had indicated well ahead of time that we would need the inflatable bed inflated for us and it was not set up when we arrived. We were able to find and do it ourselves. I had indicated there would be three of us staying and the place seemed to be set up for two. Host mentioned there had been some difficulties with getting messages to go through so wanna give the benefit of the doubt there.

Dream come true!

My partner and I were making our first trip ever to the west and happened to joke about wanting to find a “glass dome to watch the stars in”. Little did we know this would become a reality. Thanks to Reeyna’s creative campsite, we crossed off multiple bucket list items. We watched the stars completely unobstructed for the first time. The stars were stunning and it was a lot of fun watching all the different planes go by to the multiple surrounding airports. When we finally went in, we were still able to watch the stars from an insanely cozy bed. The decor and small little accents made the stay extremely comfortable. What a tearjerker waking up to a spectacular sunrise that you can only see online or in a dream. Laid in the bed and watched the sun rise and then swung in the hammock while breakfast was being made. This experience was absolutely unforgettable. The price was INSANLEY affordable in comparison to all other sites that were similar, especially for all the amenities provided as well. Would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone I would meet. I will be talking about this experience for the rest of my life. Thank you Reeyna for making this possible!

We loved the private location and the fire pit. The dome was very spacious and it came with air conditioning and even a mini fridge. The wifi was really fast and we loved stargazing at night. Would definitely recommend.

Stargaze experience!

The place gives you an amazing experience that is like from an other planet. Fireplace, grill, sitting and resting area are amazing. Perfect for observing the stars, even while taking a shower. The only negative points would be the restroom and the missing AC control.

The stargazer dome was amazing! It has such a comfort feel to it and was so relaxing. The hosts were above and beyond and even gave us a tour of the property along with some history of the land! Being able to look at the clear sky at night next to the fire pit was incredibly Such a fun experience!

The dome site had everything we could possibly need or want and the host provided us with a manual with detailed instructions that answered all of our questions. Self check in was really convenient. We really enjoyed the comfortable bed, privacy, beautiful desert view, outdoor shower, convenient gas grill + fire pit, and not having to pack any of our own tools or gear. We would have loved to stay for much longer!

Awesome Oasis Pit Stop.

Looking for a fun pitstop for a leisurely drive from LA to Phoenix, we booked a stay at the moon dome. We had a simply magical adventure. The hosts were extremely mindful in creating a stress-free stay from the detailed directions before we arrived with local recommendations for food and dining, to all the thoughtful amenities and quick but thorough tour of our surroundings and accommodations. We grilled and enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire until the sunset and were in awe of the beautiful dark sky that rewarded us with hours of stargazing. The dome was clean, comfy, and warm, even though desert temperatures dipped to the 30s. Our dome faced directly east, and we had a breathtaking sunrise display. The shower was hot, the bathroom was clean, and the towels were fluffy. We had a great time and highly recommend stopping!

Best desert experience ever!! Such kind and knowledgeable hosts, very accommodating and attentive to anything we needed (for example, our towels got dirty and they quickly provided more). They also had lots of excellent recommendations on food/activities. Love that the town is the perfect distance—you can enjoy the beauty of the desert and still be close enough to shops and restaurants. As desert novices it felt safe to have the hosts’ home adjacent to us. My personal favorite is the outdoor shower!! Such a fun experience. Overall the space is cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway!

Reeyna‘s StarGazer Dome was absolutely beautiful! Very well maintained, clean most of all, he was very thoughtful and very knowledgeable about that area. We wish to hear more about stories but we will wait till next time!

Otherworldly experience

The dome was one of the highlights of our trip. Beautiful views, especially the sunset and sunrise! We felt completely secluded in a private serene location but also safe knowing our host was close in case we needed anything. The dome had everything we needed and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Our host was exceptional- very knowledgeable about the area and the land and showed us how everything worked. We thank you all for an amazing anniversary stay that we will never forget! Very close to Joshua Tree. If we ever make it back out to the area we hope to stay here!

We had an absolutely amazing experience here. The site is very thoughtfully put together and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's clear they put a lot of work and love into the domestead. The bed was super comfortable, the grill was great for cooking dinner and breakfast, and the bathroom/shower was great. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous location, perfect stay!

Reeyna’s domestead was AMAZING! The site had everything my friend and I needed for a weekend trip — pots, plates, cups, utensils, coffee/tea, a teapot, cooking/grill equipment, paper towels, and toilet paper. The kitchen area was fantastic for cooking and we loved eating dinner and roasting s’mores by the gas fire pit each night. Sunrises/sunsets here are incredible. The dome itself is clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, the outdoor bathroom is super clean doesn’t smell at all, and and the location is only a short drive from JTNP. I honestly have nothing bad to say! I’ll absolutely stay here again next time I come to Joshua Tree.

Exceptional place!

This place is magical, the dome tent is exceptional, super comfortable, with high-quality equipment, everything is designed for your well-being. The shower is perfect, the toilet easy. The fire pit is great for the evening. Waking up and seeing the beautiful sunrise from the tent is awesome. The host is very responsive and attentive. Thank you! A great dome away from home

My partner and I had a great time staying at Reeynas. The place is beautiful and super easy to find! We were provided directions just in case we lost service on the way. Reeyna was amazing with communication and made sure that we were happy with everything and comfortable. The communication was super appreciated and we super appreciated the coffee! It was amazing. We ate at the picnic table, sat by the fire (where firewood was provided -we also brought some extra), enjoyed the coziness and being away from the sounds of busy life. Exactly what we were looking for and the dome is super cool.

The Kosmic Tortoise is amazing!

Staying at the Kosmic Tortoise was so amazing! The domes are perfect and have everything you could possibly need for glamming. Waking up to the sunrise over the desert is pretty incredible. It’s really centrally located to the National Park and to the little strip in Joshua Tree and Reeyna is so sweet and thoughtful - such an amazing host! Search no further. Highly recommend staying here!
