The Love Shack Treehouse
We loved our stay in Susan’s treehouse. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing mornings sipping coffee on the porch. Susan was an incredible host and gave us a tour of the organic farm on the property. The kitchen was clean and functional. I would definitely recommend splurging for the hot tub and farm grown brunch. Susan crafted a delicious brunch on the back porch for us with fresh foods, many of which from her garden. We would also recommend checking out the Lucchesi vineyards about 15 minutes away. They have a serene vineyard on the hillside that overlooks the Sierras.

The Love Shack Treehouse
A lovely stay with a lovely host
Our love shack stay was exactly what I had in mind for a cute get away with my s.o. and our dogs. The cozy cabin feels so open with windows and a deck looking out into the trees. Our dogs loved watching the chickens and ducks from the deck above the farm. I also booked the private dinner with hot tub to celebrate my s.o.'s birthday and Chef Susan went above and beyond! She created the perfect carrot cake (which I didn't even mention was his favorite kind of cake!) And gave us such a lovely and thoughtful night with a tasty farm fresh dinner. Although the weather wasn't exactly what we were hoping for (rainy), we made the best of it by having a snow day in Truckee and exploring the quarry in nearby Auburn. Will definitely need to come back to check out the rock climbing at Auburn quarry.

The Love Shack Treehouse
My time at Susan’s was nothing short of wonderful. She is the most gracious and welcoming host, and her food is made with so much love, care and creativity. The property is gorgeous and well cared for, and you can feel the intention and beauty that has been curated in just about everything on the property. The love shack treehouse was the perfect spot for my personal retreat - clean, comfortable, great windows/natural light while still maintaining privacy, and close enough to the main house while still feeling secluded and private. The tree growing through the space was so cool and made the space all the more peaceful. I would happily return for another solo trip, with my partner, or with friends.

Chef Susan was an incredible host and provided such a special experience. The property is amazing, would definitely recommend getting a tour when you are there. We did the five course dinner with Susan that she curated based on our tastes and the season and it was INCREDIBLE. Such an amazing weekend and stay and can’t recommend more highly for those seeking a relaxing experience with a unique culinary offering.

My stay in the cozy sunrise suit!
I enjoyed my stay quite a bit at Chef Susan’s place. She was consistently attentive, kind and giving when we needed a hand. If you want something more private I recommend one of her other spots just because it’s pretty close to her house. Although it’s quiet, peaceful and the people staying were very nice. Loved the extra touches she added and how cozy the place truly felt. The bed could have been bigger considering it was me and my boyfriend. But sleeping alone it works just fine! We used the pullout couch and had a nice rest before we started our day with the chickens(:

DO NOT GO TO THUS PK
I’m never going back. First the tree house looks nothing like the picture. It has kk curtains, so anyone can see you inside the entire tree house.
Then, they advertise cod ad Ning see is $56. When they actually charge $75.
Then, I have service dogs, and they are still charging me $75 for cleaning fee.
The grounds you can walk on, is not 7 acres. Staff told me that there is a trail, yet you can’t see one.
Finally, when I asked staff where to go hiking, she didn’t have exact locations so I went searching and couldn’t figure out where to go.
I am very unhappy with this place! It is nothing but a ripoff!!
I recommend DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! You will be very disappointed! I know I am.

Cozy Sunrise Suite on Homestead
Staying here was absolutely wonderful! I stayed in one of Susan's cabins and it was exactly what I was looking for, a simple and cozy place to re-charge while exploring the area. There was a hot shower available, a whole kitchen to use and a beautiful property to explore. Susan was a great host and made sure I had everything I needed and answered all my questions asap.

Excellent Camping, Excellent Host
Chef Susan was a wonderful host to my girlfriend and I. The cabin was incredibly clean and cozy when we arrived, and she was very thorough in showing us the kitchen and bathroom. Susan is also a very providing host, and when my girlfriend and I realized we had forgotten to bring a vital ingredient to cook with, Susan kindly provided. While we didn't get much of a chance to explore the property, what we did see was gorgeous. We came for New Year's and she even invited us to hang out with her and her friends in the main house and we had a great time. Cannot recommend Susan enough.

My partner and I loved staying in the love shack. It was a very cozy space. The little heater works really well and kept us warm. We had the dinner and hot tub experience and we loved it. Susan is an amazing chef who puts love and effort into everything she does. She was a very good host and was very responsive to my questions.

Loved camping on Susan's property. She's a wonderful, creative host all-around *and* an excellent chef and homesteader. Definitely opt for at least one of her meals and spend some time on the back patio or take the nice nature walk. I'm planning to come back in the future for other solo retreats :)

Cozy Sunrise Suite on Homestead
True to its name, the Sunrise Cottage was very cozy. We spent a peaceful long weekend at the farm in November, enjoying the changing leaves and serene landscape. Susan was a gracious host and an excellent chef, serving a delicious brunch on the beautiful porch of the main house. The surrounding area has a lot to offer as well, from hiking to wandering local historic towns. 10/10, would stay again!

Great Spot for a Personal Retreat!
The love shack treehouse was the PERFECT spot for my 3 day personal retreat. Susan took care of everything, and I was welcomed into a peaceful, relaxing, clean, beautiful space with gorgeous views of the sunrise and nature. The back deck is a great spot to sit and ponder, journal, relax, meditate, star gaze, whatever you like. The bed was cozy and the tree growing in the room was an amazing bonus! Susan even gave me some home grown hibiscus tea, and it was absolutely delicious. I was fasting during my stay, but I will definitely be back to try Susan's amazing organic cuisine and enjoy this magical space some more! If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful, peaceful, interesting place to stay, look no further.

Had a great stay here. Its a beautiful setup surrounded by trees and with a nice view out over the hills. Its a really cosy space.

I loved getting to experience multiple locations at the Garden Goddess Farm, and really wish I'd been able to stay in the Treehouse! HOW COOL!
The spaces are a little closer together than I anticipated, but each unique and sweet. The tipi is pretty magical, the Tuscan Room quite stunning in my opinion, camping on the land was lovely with deer and night critters, a little hot at the peak of the summer, but that's not unexpected!

Susan is an absolute blessing to this planet.
Words cannot show the gratitude my partner and I have for her farm, cooking, conversation, kindness and infinite more. The value of our stay was so incredible. The hotel industry could take many notes on customer service from Susan. Also her on hand help, Ricky, was a major joy who take such good care of us on arrival to our departure. Do not expect luxurious amenities by any hotel standard but do expect exceptional cooking if you decide to opt in for the fresh farm brunch. Our lives are made more brilliant thanks to our decision to stay with Susan. I hope you make the journey to this joyful space.

“ We celebrated a family birthday ( 22 of us!) on the farm and Chef Susan catered for us. It was the most unique way to spend time together. We signed up for Susan’s culinary packages and did “make and take” meals and fun sauces. We were able to freeze them for our trip back home. There are several adorable campsites and accommodations. We did not want to lug camping stoves and tents so the Garden Goddess Farm handles all this for you! They even provide cozy cotton sheets! We have booked the farm for a family reunion next summer. Can’t wait!”

Delicious meals and sweet spaces!
Thank you so much to Susan and Ricki!! I felt like part of the gang when I arrived and my privacy was also respected. I booked at Garden Goddess Farm for some space to work and be a bit away! It is a lovely neighborhood setting on large parcels, with a beautiful wild canyon just below. Lovely shared deck...gongs...chickens...CUTE, sweet spaces. The shared kitchen was wonderful to have on my 10night stay!
Also, Susan is an incredible cook, who puts a huge amount of love into her clean and beautiful food. Absolutely worth it!

Can't wait to come back
We came on one of the hottest weekends late Friday night (labor day weekend) for a quiet getaway from the city, and Susan was so kind and let us move to a different area that had more of a breeze, AND had some bites to eat waiting for us when we arrived from our 3ish hour drive.
Susan puts so much heart and soul into her property, her food, and all the little touches like the personalized note on the fence to the meadow with our names on it so we could have a private picnic at dusk. She made nopales cactus flat bread, honey wine, pesto potatos and so much more. I truly enjoyed her home cooked food.
She is so easy to communicate with, accommodating, kind, welcoming, and just a truly remarkable and interesting human being to talk to and learn from.
The other hipcampers were friendly and easy to talk to, which was great because we shared a communal kitchen and bathrooms.
Because we came near the new moon, it was easy to see the stars our first night. It's very peaceful here, and feels safe and healing. That's definitely thanks to Susan's energy and the wonderful people that help her run and organize the place.
We will definitely be back for Susan's easy and friendly hospitality and the peaceful, clean, and comfortable lodging. Maybe we'll bring the dog this time 😉. Thank you again for a wonderful weekend!

Memorable anniversary at the Garden
Susan was so sweet and communicative with us. She really helped make our anniversary memorable and special with chilled champagne (brought our own champagne) glasses with dinner on the porch and the picnic at the tipi in the meadow with homemade wine! She makes really good dishes and was mindful with what we liked and disliked for food. You can tell she really wants her guests to be comfortable and relaxed. Our dog enjoyed watching the chickens and laying on the porch. Definitely would like to visit again in the fall time!

Culinary farm experience
Our stay at Garden Goddess Farm was a culinary celebration. Our kind host, Susan, warmly welcomed us to the property upon our arrival, and immediately made us feel right at home.
During our stay at Garden Goddess Farm, we lodged in The Treehouse---a lovely cottage overlooking a grove of cacti and manzanitas. The lodging was very clean and well taken care of. The Treehouse earns it namesake from arboreal embellishments that casually usurp the floor to become a centerpiece for this living space. The adjoining, elevated deck also contribute to the feeling of being comfortably perched among the trees (and, is fantastic for star-gazing).
In close proximity to our cozy quarters we had access to an indoor bathroom/shower facility. Throughout the property there are multiple
seating areas beckoning you to take a load off, relax, and reconnect to nature. There is also a pleasant walking path that meanders around the perimeter of the property. The highlight of our stay at Garden Goddess Farm was partaking in the delicious culinary experience offered by Susan. My husband and I were toured around the property, and got to
sample ripe, delicious fare straight from the garden; Muscato grapes, goji berries, and edible flowers were but a few delights. We also had the immense pleasure of enjoying a pizza-making experience with Susan for dinner, and were blown away by the fresh flavor of the natural ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Garden Goddess Farm and would definitely recommend

Mountain Farm that feels like Home.
Every part of our trip to Garden Goddess is worth writing about but I'll keep it brief. From arriving to an incredible dinner, enjoying the stars from the deck, finding much needed rest down near the tipi and culminating with brunch before we left, I would recommend this place to anyone. Both Susan and Ricki were great hosts, made us feel welcome and cooked some of the best food I've had in ages. We didn't want to leave and will absolutely be booking again.
