You don't have to venture far off HWY 97 to find yourself in the quaint outskirts of La Pine. Guests will enjoy their stay in a cozy silo tucked away in the corner of our 1-acre grove of pines. The interior of the silo blends the styles of an old farm house with familiar modern boutique. The quiet of the Oregon woods are perfect for individuals, couples, or small groups. There's a backyard for spending time in the fresh air or stargazing. A great jumping off point for Crater Lake, Bend, Cascade Lakes, Newberry Volcanic Crater, and all of the natural beauty in Central Oregon! The silo is perfect for 2 people. There is a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, hot plate, toaster oven, and french press plus a small dining table. Coffee and tea are provided. The quaint living room is a nice place to take a break, read and put your feet up. The bedroom has a queen size bed with 600-thread count sheets and comfy blankets. Turn on the twinkle lights in the bathroom for a calming shower. Shampoo and conditioner are provided. WIFI is available in the silo but no TV. There is an outside kitchen with a table, chairs and a BBQ. Enjoy the hammocks for an afternoon nap or looking at the cosmic heavens. The silo is a "tinyhouse", just under 350 sq ft. With an old American farm design, bohemian styling and some modern touches, you won't want to go anywhere else. But if you do venture out, Central Oregon has a variety of year round activities. From jumping into a mountain lake on a hot summer day, fishing on the Deschutes, skiing powder on a blue bird day or visiting the High Desert Museum, there is something for everyone. The best part is coming home to this special hideaway to relive the days' adventure. The silo is perfect for 2 people. La Pine is a quaint small town of about 1,700 people and is the little sister to the more popular and crowded city of Bend. La Pine sits at a higher elevation than Bend and is surrounded by forest, rivers and big sky. No matter which direction you travel, there are many activities all year round. The town may not be as attractive as others when viewed from the highway but once you visit a restaurant or store, you'll be greeted by some of the friendliest people in the Pacific Northwest and quickly develop a fondness of the area. There are great advantages of rural life...quietude, dark nights, wildlife. However, there are also some disadvantages....unplanned power outages, slow internet, reduced business hours. It's all part of the adventure! Enjoy life at the Tree Farm! Snowshoes are available. Please let us know if you are interested in using them. If you plan on visiting Crater Lake in the winter be sure to check out the road and winter conditions. The North entrance (closest to the Tree Farm) is closed from about mid-October to June or July depending on snow pack. Check out the Crater Lake National Park web site for more information.
