The intention behind naming this the Cloud, is in honor of the lands the atmospheric connection to the Sea. The Cloud, is currently in the process of becoming a retreat space and eco village for guests to come experience. While still curating the space, the land is being brought together with a passion for saving trees and their priceless ecological function. The large Spruce trees that cover the land stand with strong branches and are covered with magnificent green needles. These needles collect water vapor from the air, thus offering water droplets onto the ground. This natural process provides a vibrant and lush natural habitat. The Cloud is an intentional space where those on the land are invited to become mindful and connect not only with the land, but with themselves.The Space Bell is a spacious tent nestled in the coastal forest. This quiet nook located on 40-acres allows guests to comfortably seek out relaxation and stillness. Tucked away among the Salal and Spruce trees, you will find a private nook to connect with nature. Amenities for the Space Bell include a full sized mattress + bedding as well as both indoor lounging area. Heat and electricity provided. Parking available near site. Moonhouse (standard composting outhouse) access. Wash station (hard water). We are pack-in pack-out. Not provided: kitchen, shower, drinking water, waste services. Visiting the Cloud you will witness our work in progress and how your support helps us achieve our vision of land conservation. With that in mind, accommodations are ever-evolving and improving. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we continue to build and grow. Located in Charleston Oregon, the Cloud is only a five minute drive from Cape Arago State Park where surfing, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and Scenic viewpoints are available. As well as, only a seven mile drive away from Coos bay, another Coastal town. Where you can find lively events, farmers markets, restaurants, public parks, local shops, and community gatherings.

We loved staying at the space bell! Our stay was short but very cozy. We got an enthusiastic welcome from the resident pup, Chopper. He is such a sweet boy! Our shy Shiba took a day to warm up to him, but they were good buds by the time we left. There were group bonfires each night, and some really fun communal spaces on the property. I personally loved the swing and the aerial silks setup! Thanks Sam for the great stay!

Our stay here was wonderful! Sam was such a terrific host - very communicative and flexible with our late arrival (our apologies again!) The grounds are beautiful and the yurt very comfortable. We’ll be back!

cozy in a cloud

name was very on brand- tis a cloudy spot! you are 'in the clouds' - we stayed two days , the second morning/day was clearer and warmer. while not as tucked away into a forest as the pictures would infer (you can hear road traffic, albeit its a quiet road), it is a cozy yurt amongst the trees. heated, lit and comfy. the bedding and bed was comfy. the communal kitchen is fully functional, outdoor shower had very warm but not hot water, very good glamping overall! we fell in love with the dog onsite. 🐶

We loved the lunar lodge- perfect for two adults and a nervous dog. Sam was very friendly and welcoming. There is an outdoor kitchen which was great for making food! The setting was beautiful and was well located for exploring the surrounding area.

Awesome times at The Cloud

Sam is such a lovely host and his land is so pretty! We were so cozy and really enjoyed our stay. There’s plenty of awesome nature to see in the area and The Cloud was a perfect base camp for that. Would happily stay again another time.

Lunar Lodge for a night

We were on a month long road trip exploring the Pacific Northwest, we had decided to wing it (sleep where it aligned) as we drove south on the Oregon coast. We came across Sam's place on HipCamp, I loved everything I read on The Cloud's profile and decided to stay a night in the trailer. We arrived pretty late and left the next day at noon and honestly I wish I had stayed longer. I instantly felt grounded when we arrived - the trailer had immaculate lighting, great intention and attention to detail, and overall pretty clean. The land we slept on was the cherry on top! I loved learning a little about how The Cloud became The Cloud and exploring the land as it evolves, we also found a trail that leads to the ocean! It was super fun to experience an out door communal kitchen and shower, and simply co-exist in a space that felt so intentional and magical. I felt inspired. I left inspired. I even told my husband "I want to learn from these individuals" because I believe this way of being brings us closer to nature and teaches us to grow as individuals as we learn the ways of nature. I'm really thankful we crossed paths. Oh! I also met an awesome human named Meg who did an X-ray of my aching tooth from her mobile dental hygiene service! With her expertise, I released some tension. Hope to return soon. Thanks again!

Amazing property, super cool old school trailer, just our style. We like the resourceful and unique properties! Electricity, heater, futon and nice big bed. Didn't need much else for our short stay so it worked great. Outdoor bathroom was set up great and close by. Host was super nice, really excited to see what else they do with this property over time.

Obsessed with this art space!

When I stumbled upon Cloud on Seven on Hipcamp, there was no question I HAD to stay there as my rest stop on the way to a gig. I highly respect and seek experiential stays and not only is the property extremely beautiful but the heart and wanting of transformation of space is beating at every return. I had an exquisite time in my super hot outdoor shower and Sam was eliminating me on plans for the upcoming tubs to be a quaint talking space for couples and the like. I have been telling everyone I know about this magic spot in. Stayed in the Lunar Lodge. ZERO regrets.

Really cool and unique place! My first time using Hipcamp and it was easy. Dylan was welcoming and friendly. Chopper the dog was the first person to greet me. It took him and my dog, Teddy, a few minutes to get comfortable and then Chopper was a sweetheart. I enjoyed the vintage trailer and composting outhouse.

Cloud Camping

Perfect balance of interaction, community, and having your own space. Sam is working hard to create a eco-village community space that is much needed in the world. The Lunar Lodge was cozy, cost effective, and centralized on the coast enough to travel to other destinations for the day or just to hang near Coos Bay..Stayed with my daughter and her friend coming from Idaho and they were delighted to have an experience with heart and openness that we haven't thus far found in our travels in our locale. And for a bonus- Dylan is on site starting a surfing school and offers Hipcampers a reduced rate for lessons. He is a kind, fun, and gentle teacher that we had the privilege of getting to know , practicing true freedom on the Fourth of July by engaging in play and wonder and focus and respect for the power of Mother Ocean. And the review must be completed with thanks to Sam's mother for seeing us in 💚and being so accommodating and by a huge hug and butt scrub for Chopper🐶, the Sweet Heart of The Cloud , who we all had a hard time driving away from. Hope to see you all soon !

Highly recommend

It was a very nice tent! We had a very late check in (around 10pm) but Sam was very responsive over message and left lights on for us. It was a quick drive into the Cape Arago State Park which had some amazing tide pools in the morning. Also was pretty close to good brunch spots! Overall would definitely recommend!

What a gem this place is. I loved seeing what they are building! Although aware that people were around, which I do not mind as a solo traveler at all, it was super quiet. Chopper and Sam were welcoming and kind, then go do their own thing. Roaming around the ground to see all they are creating is really inspiring. Lunar Lodge was private, warm and cozy.

Sam & his crew are really working hard on the land. The fridge right next to the tent was a surprising element but welcomed for my goodies on my roadtrip. Amenities are simple so come prepared!

In Heaven!

The Cloud on Seven was the perfect way to kick off our Oregon adventure! It was such a welcoming spot and a wonderful escape from the city. The views were breathtaking, and meeting the owners made the experience even more special—they’ve truly created a little slice of heaven here. The hospitality was impeccable, and every detail showed the care and hard work they’ve put into this place. The outdoor shower was absolutely amazing, and I can’t recommend this stay highly enough to anyone traveling through the area!
