Cloud on Seven

24 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents40 acres · Barview, OR
The intention behind naming this the Cloud, is in honor of the lands the atmospheric connection to the Sea. The Cloud, is currently in the process of becoming a retreat space and eco village for guests to come experience. While still curating the space, the land is being brought together with a passion for saving trees and their priceless ecological function. The large Spruce trees that cover the land, stand with strong branches covered with magnificent green needles. These needles collect water vapor from the air, offering water droplets onto the ground. This natural process provides a vibrant natural habitat. The Cloud is an intentional space, where those on the land are invited to become mindful, and connect not only with the land, but with themselves.

Applegate Century Farm

1 site · Tent50 acres · Yoncalla, OR
Learn more about this land: One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van near some fir trees at the edge of a small meadow bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility.  Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek. When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance. Continue past a brown machine shed followed by two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign on a big fir tree that points to where the campsite parking is located. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path to the creek and campsite. Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. At the entrance to the barn is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided. Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with drink safety hose.

Forested creekside campsite

1 site · RV, Tent72 acres · Grants Pass, OR
Hey there!  I'm a single dad with 2 teen-kids, medical professional, who enjoys country living and sharing it with others.  I've lived in far-Northern CA and Southern Oregon my whole life, except for school/training, so State of Jefferson is my home.  We bought this land in 2017, when it was just brush, poison oak, and a rotten bridge.   Learn more about this land:Campsite on 72 acres along beautiful Jumpoff Joe Creek.  Shaded, adjacent to romantically lighted timber-frame private covered bridge (no traffic).  Very secluded, but only 1/2 mile from I-5 (no freeway noise, though).  Private "beach" area and kid-friendly water play area with wild creatures (turkey, deer, fish, crayfish, water striders, turtles, frogs, etc.). Picnic table, tent spots, and fresh water spigot.  Short hiking trails (watch out for poison oak!).  Best for tenting, smaller RV's, tree tents, or rooftop tents.  >100 yards from nearest structure. 3 nights max except by private arrangement.    NO smoking/vaping/marijuana.  NO wood fires, but propane fire-ring is available -- bring your own propane tank or pay $5 extra to use my propane tank if available.  Good cell service from Google Fi/USCellular.  WiFi available on porch of owner's house by request.

Camp Catching

3 sites · RVs, Tents6 acres · Coos Bay, OR
Learn more about this land: Camp Catching is located on Catching Slough a beautiful tidal water way located in the Coos Sumner area near Coos Bay. Home lands to the Coos and Coquille tribes. Camp catching is a part of Blue Barns Farms, a 6 acres homestead located on Old Wagon Rd. This area is considered a “Banana Belt” as during the summer it is often 15 degrees warmer than “in town” and outside of the fog bank that is often seen daily closer to the ocean. It is a great place to set up camp while exploring other areas of our beautiful community. The Oregon Bay Area ( Coos County) is a True Hidden Gem. You can go from mountain to sea; exploring waterfalls to playing at the beach all in one day. We have 3 camping areas around our little blue barn and surrounding area. Each camp spot has a solo fire pit and picnic table (please note: fires will be permitted based on fire risk.) All 3 camping spots have access to Catching Slough for paddle boarding and kayaking; I have been known to even swim on a hot day. We have two paddle boards, one double kayak and a child kayak (less than 130 lbs) available for camper use. Catching slough is influenced by the tides and contains brackish waters- both add additional magic to this area. This means twice a day the slough empties traveling to the ocean and fills up again. High tide is a great time for paddle boarding and kayaking; low tide is wonderful for watching birds and other animals. Anytime is actually great for bird watching! We have a number of different species of birds that rest here while migrating- the opportunity to see them all depends on the time of year that you visit. You can also watch fish jump in the bend of the slough. Other oddities that we have seen since living here over the last 7 years- swimming deer and even a seal(only once)! Everyone who comes to visit finds the slough mesmerizing and beautiful! For facilities we have an outdoor shower and Porter potties that are emptied regularly. Our little Blue Barn is a communal space offering a refrigerator, kettle and tea house. There is also a barbecue located outside the barn for camps use.

Riverview Properties

1 site · RV, Tent1 acre · Myrtle Point, OR
2 miles down a gravel road from Hwy 42 you will find yourself able to drive a 40' skoolie or rv down to this location. We now have a composting toilet and Shower! Easy access to back in or pull in and be 20' from the river. This site does have 110 outlets and water access from river with pump, small fire pit and camp chairs, I am working on a picnic table, coming soon. The river has some big fish and a little bit of a sandy beach area depending on the tide. Shade trees or sun you have both and summers are very nice out here. No bears or cougars in the area, usually a racoon or possum or fox. Over all very quiet and peaceful. Gets warm down by the river out of the wind so come prepared. Currently have a small cabin in the works but is not finished, this is on site and can be used if needed. My property line is the rocks, please keep on my property. Thank you.

Camping near Roseburg guide

Overview

In sunny Southern Oregon, the heart of the Land of Umpqua has a natural charm. Roseburg is a place of wineries, breweries, covered bridges, and waterfalls. When it comes to outdoor play, you find the most action on the Umpqua River. The emerald green waters are a paradise for steelhead fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and kayaking. Looking for campsites on the river Banks? Check out Stanton and Amacher County Parks. If you want to camp off the beaten path, head to Cavitt Creek Falls Recreation Site. Oregon summers are no big deal when you're keeping cool beneath a 10-foot waterfall. In Umpqua National Forest, scenic rapids, waterfalls, and mountain lakes take your breath away. Pitch a tent at Susan Creek Campground on the North Umpqua River, or park your RV at Poole Creek Campground near Lemolo Lake. Campers be warned— there's a big scramble for lakeside campgrounds in the summer. Book early to secure your spot. Once you're settled in, get stoked about biking the North Umpqua Trail, or hike to 272-foot Watson Falls. It doesn't matter whether you're staying at an RV park, a sunny vineyard, or a farmstead. Douglas County adventure is always right around the Bend.
