*Please read FULL site description and rules before booking so you know what to expect and what is expected of you!* 'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

There is a picnic table in the pasture, with several wooden log type chairs. There is internet available on the picnic table by the main house front deck. Connect to the internet via ethernet. This is a glamping experience, partially off-grid, and we hope that you take the time to unplug. All of our farm goods are available for sale. While the location is quiet and secluded, we are still an easy 5 minutes to I-5. Yurt door is usually left unlocked, and we have not had any security issues. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE People from all backgrounds are welcome, but hate has no home here. Please respect our neighbors - we tend to wave to each other while in the neighborhood. Learn more about this land: One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility.  Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek. When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance. Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive. Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided. Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with potable drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.

Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive. Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided. Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with potable drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.

Situated next to our home on a 55 acre farm, our yurt provides a peaceful, relaxing space for up to 5 people. THE SPACE The 20' Pheasant Creek Yurt is completely yours during your stay. Bathroom area in the main house may be shared. For the yurt, there is a queen futon for sitting or sleeping, a double futon bunk/couch with a twin above, dining table with chairs, sink and counter space with toaster/convection oven, mini-fridge, dishes and cutlery, coffee pot, rocking chair, wood stove, and other amenities. While the location is quiet and secluded, we are still an easy 5 minutes to I-5. Yurt door is usually left unlocked, and we have not had any security issues. Upon request, we can provide guests with a key during their stay. Unfortunately these accommodations are not ADA-accessible at this time. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE People from all backgrounds are welcome, but hate has no home here. Please respect our neighbors - we tend to wave to each other while in the neighborhood. Other residents at this property include: 4 dogs (Duffy and Hamish, Leia and Suleyman), a flock of Romney sheep, 12 hens, 1 donkey (Gracie), 2 potbelly pigs (Hamlet and Pig), 3 cats (Apollo, Minerva, Zelda, and Opal), and multiple geese. Very quiet and peaceful spot! Given privacy during our stay. Bryce was kind and left the gate open for our arrival and open with communication. Very accommodating! Spot a little slanted uphill, not too bad if you have tire blocks. Water pressure nice. Verizon got very little service, AT&T got satellite but was rough, T-Mobile didn’t get service. Take that into mind, though very nice if you’re looking to get away from it all like we were!

I absolutely loved staying here in my deluxe cabin! It was the perfect personal retreat I needed, the cabin was super clean and cozy, nice fluffy bath towels and the Wolfgang Puck coffee pods were a treat! The park was quiet and at night I could hear the river from my cabin, there is a nice trail down to the river and I was able to spend time by the river in the evening. The location is so close to many waterfalls! Toby and Dustin are super nice hosts! The shared restrooms were clean and the showers hot! I loved the small trails to wander on next to the park. I cant wait to return as this will be my place to stay this coming year, thank you for providing such a nice place to have a get away from the world! My only request would be to allow for a late check out if needed but I ended up leaving early to see more waterfalls!

We absolutely love Cathryn's beautiful hipcamp on the Umpqua River in Roseburg. We went in late October so the weather was chilly and it rained a lot but we made the best of it. We had the entire campground to ourselves and just a few steps away from the most breathtaking river scene. My son enjoyed fishing and saw many huge salmon but unfortunately he didn't catch one next time perhaps. We have a 31ft RV and our friends had a smaller RV there are no hookups but that's how we love and enjoy camping. It is very peaceful with wild turkeys that ventured into our camps. There are no strict rules on dogs off leash which are pups love to explore and run around and frolic in the water it was amazing. Cathryn came by once to introduce herself and to answer any questions that we may have had. She also mentioned that they are going to do some improvements to the camp to get down to the water more accessible. Its all a work in process but it's beautiful just the way it is. We can't wait to book for the summer because there are many deep pools there to swim in. The only suggestion that I would have would be to move the front gate further down so that when you pull out of the gate you're not on the main road where it could potentially be dangerous. To be honest I really don't want to say too many great things about this place lol because we would love it to remain a secret 😜 It is definitely in the books for springtime. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

I did hammock camping and it was awesome. The camp spots they have are super sweet, with a nice parking unloading spot right next to their outdoor kitchen. There’s a wheelbarrow to help unload your things(it’s not far, but comes in handy if you’ve got more than a handful) and lots of signs to help direct you to everything. The sauna was pretty much amazing.. almost as amazing as the people there! I would recommend to anyone and look forward to returning!! . Still kinda putting it all together but he has created something wonderful. It was a peaceful retreat in nature.

Learn more about this land: Happy Bears Camp would really be suitable for those passing on I-5, who want a quiet place to park for the night. We are only one mile from I-5 (mile marker 80). Heading North on exit 80, there's a sharp 25 mph off-ramp on a downhill -Take it slow! There are lots of reservoirs, and a few rivers in the general area. The closest Reservoir is 12 miles away. Crater Lake is two hours away. The Pacific Ocean is 2 hours 15 minutes away. Closest river is less than a mile. You will cross it on the way here. There is lots of BLM land with dirt road access in the area. There is hunting in the area. The tiny town of Glendale is three miles away, (one route is safe for bicycles). There is a Grocery store, bank, laundry, three restaurants, two gas stations and a bakery. There are also two parks in town. One has a Frisbee golf course. Easy RV parking in town. On the way here, you will pass one of the restaurants and gas stations with a lot big enough to accommodate the largest RV. On the property: You may walk around. There aren't any trails and the undergrowth gets thick quickly under the trees. There is a fire break to walk, that circles the meadow. This will give you access to the trees. If you walk up the right side, our neighbor's dog will make a ruckus as you pass their house. Don't worry, just noise. At the top of the meadow, is a lovely view over this part of the valley.

She was trying to get our attention, as were all of the negative energies trapped here. Suddenly an epiphany struck us both, in the thick muck of a terrible physical and energetic rut, we knew we needed to heal the energy that had been left lingering here from all of the traumatic events that happened all around us for hundreds of years. Just like us, trauma was trapped inside her from other people, just like the ancestral trauma we all suffer from on planet Earth. This is when we realized the land had called us here to help it, and in turn it would help us heal too….and it has. We now know we are exactly where we are supposed to be. When you come to this living mountain, speak kindly to her, she hears you, honor the Takilma ancestors who came before us, the plants and the trees the snakes and the bees, because we are all in this together.
