Peace is what you will find on our property. We have three wonderful listings on this 2 acres of shady trees, cool, quiet mornings and precious wild life. At the time of writing this, we have a momma and her two fawns, a young buck that likes to rest behind our shop, three different turkeys with their young ones in tow, song birds galore, lively grey squirrels and the occasional bunny running through. As you continue along the stone path to the outdoor shower, you'll find a rainfall shower head as well as all the products you need, not to mention the most incredible views of the river!
Our outdoor cookshack comes with a grill, bar sink, trash, and basic cooking and eating utensils. This space also has views of the river and large FarmStyle table and chairs for dining.
The site is equipped with motion sensor path lighting around the tent and also the along the path leading from the parking area to the cabin.
Everything is crafted for relaxation and quality time with your friends or loved one. Take a nap in a hammock, play Jenga on the deck, read a book, or take a hike. There is something here for everyone, any time of year.

The entire property (10 acers) is for your use. The driveway is gated with use of a keypad for entry.

There is over 100 acres of BLM land adjoining our property on two sides with miles of trails to explore. Breathtaking river views abound.
The cabin faces west, making for a nightly sunset show from the cabin and deck.
The pellet stove may look small, but it is not a toy. It's more than enough to keep the cabin warm on snowy winter days.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland runs through most of October and the Britt Music Festival in Jacksonville has an open-air music venue with tons of concerts June - September. So many wineries here and check out the waterfalls and hiking trails in the area. Oregon Caves is open May - September. Let us know what adventures you are seeking and we can help you find the ones available in our amazing area... Don't forget about the jetboat rides on the Rogue River May - September which are hugely entertaining and the river and scenery are unforgettable. The Dinner cruise is always a favorite. Hint (Be prepared to get wet).
Elk Haven Ranch consists of 40 acres at the base of a mountain range that is BLM federal land. The Hidden Forest Get-Away campground is spacious and rural where so much wildlife, birds and even an occasional elk herd or family of deer can be seen. This property is a haven for them all, no hunting is allowed.
If you are looking to throw a Frisbee with your dog in a forested and meadow setting, without tons of campers right next to you, then this is your place. Room to roam, fresh air to breathe and clean water available at your site April through September. Easy access to a common electricity plug-in where you can charge your cell phones and air mattresses on the electric pole by the entry gate. A common comment we hear from our campers is how much they love using the open air "hot water on demand" shower - at night - looking up at the stars. It's pretty amazing. The porta potty is kept clean and is privately situated, yet convenient. There's tons of firewood available to purchase for only $5 and a cart with wheels you can use to cart the wood easily to your camp site.
If you are looking to play games, just ask us for the corn hole or horse shoes, or help yourself to the games already out and available.

This park gets its rather self-descriptive name from the six beautiful rivers that flow through its borders, but don’t the name fool you. There is a lot more than just rivers to check out here. More than a million rambling acres of forest take you through foggy and mystical redwood landscapes. Further inland, miles of towering Douglas firs, glacial peaks, and hidden pools just wait to be discovered. Of course, the rivers are the main attraction. You can’t go two feet without tripping over a perfect swimming hole. After your dip, there are plenty of warm rocks to lay out on. Oh, and if the natural beauty doesn’t get you: this was the place where they first spotted Bigfoot. Yeah, the original footage that basically made everyone believe in the hairy bi-ped. You will appreciate the peace and quiet of this little cottage on Rock Creek, situated on 11 acres of forest in Williams Oregon. The only sounds you'll hear are the birds in the trees and the flowing creek water. Enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the confluence of Rock Creek and East Fork Williams Creek. A bridge crosses Rock Creek and there is a hiking trail beyond.
Our garden hot tub is a welcome place to soak and enjoy the stars at night. Its an older tub but still keeps the water at 102 degrees.
Our cabin has a kitchenette with a small fridge, sink, 2-burner gas stovetop, microwave, teapot, toaster, and 2-cup coffee maker, plus a few dishes, cutlery, and pots and pans - enough for simple meal preparation. Coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer are provided along with a dozen fresh eggs from our chickens.
The cabin has a small woodstove as its only heat source. A little wood can be provided, and we provide newspaper, matches, and fire starters. There is an abundance of kindling around the property - great for getting a fire going. The stove holds 18" x 4" split logs, if you have some to bring. There are two smaller stuffed chairs, and two bar stools at a small bar-height table with views of the creek.
The bathroom has a shower and vanity sink, and towels and toiletries are provided. There is hot and cold running water, although the 3-gallon hot water heater limits showers to less than 5 minutes. A camp portable toilet is provided upon request.
Nice sturdy steps lead up to the loft upstairs which has an 8" full-sized (wider than a twin but narrower than a queen) memory foam mattress with fresh linens. The loft is low and cozy which allows the camper to sit up on the bed but not stand up.
A compost toilet is about 100 yards away, and has electricity. Bring your flashlights to find the compost toilet as well as the hot tub as the property is very dark.
Cell service is okay depending on your server, and WiFi is available. The password is listed in the binder on the hutch. Some games and puzzles are provided.

We have discovered that Laughing Mountain is not just a physical place on a mountain top, it is also a metaphysical entity that has dreamt itself awake. The irony of the fact that the creation of Laughing Mountain, has been nothing but blood, sweat and tears, pays homage to the reality that just like us, this mountain is a work in progress, we are all slowly chipping away at the masterpiece that is our divine self awakened.

We weren’t aware of the sentience and trauma of the land at first, only our own need for healing, and desire to help others heal in the ways we’d found healing, by creating a sacred space in nature for everyone to use.
As we began this dance of chaos with the land and all things residing in it and around it, we realized the land was as spiritually sick as we were. A microcosm of planet Earth, it has been raped, pillaged and neglected, it’s future never considered, it’s native stewards murdered, all in the name of greed.
After 2 years of profound breakthroughs, mind bending healing ceremonies, confusion, emotional melt downs, everything malfunctioning one after another and questioning our choice to be here, we couldn’t help but feel like we were being sabotaged by something…
We were. She was trying to get our attention, as were all of the negative energies trapped here.
Suddenly an epiphany struck us both, in the thick muck of a terrible physical and energetic rut, we knew we needed to heal the energy that had been left lingering here from all of the traumatic events that happened all around us for hundreds of years. Just like us, trauma was trapped inside her from other people, just like the ancestral trauma we all suffer from on planet Earth.
This is when we realized the land had called us here to help it, and in turn it would help us heal too….and it has.
We now know we are exactly where we are supposed to be.
When you come to this living mountain, speak kindly to her, she hears you, honor the Takilma ancestors who came before us, the plants and the trees the snakes and the bees, because we are all in this together. There is no you or me, there is only us and we. You and I are one being united in our desire for balance and peace on this planet, let’s walk together and support each other on this journey back into the welcoming arms of our own divinity.

we give coordinates for the beginning of our road. We send you coordinates, very detailed directions, troubleshooting tips, and photo maps we made. As long as you successfully used the coordinates easy. There is no service here for the most part, mile marker 4 on the main road gets service if you need it!

Cedar Bloom was a wonderful place to camp for the weekend. Only about an hour from the Redwoods, it's in a wonderful location with access to the Illinois river. They have river beaches to hang out at, a sauna and an open shower house with a view of the river from the shower (the back of the shower house is closed for privacy). We tent camped, though the yurts and A frames looked wonderful as well. It's open tent camping so you can pick your ideal spot; there weren't many people there when we visited so we had complete privacy. They also have a communal kitchen space that was very convenient. The composting toilets were also very nice, much cleaner and less smell than a normal pit toilet.
Communication with Mea was very easy and she was very proactive with her communication. I would say this was the nicest camp ground I've been to, with so much more to offer than a standard state or national park camp ground. I love to wilderness camp, but the amenities that Cedar Bloom offers makes the price well worth it.

A really unique stay with friendly camp hosts! We stayed in the big dome which had a great view of the forest. We enjoyed the deck showers overlooking the river as well. It was a little too cold to swim but would love to come back and utilize the river and the sauna during a warmer part of the year. Very relaxing and calm space in southern Oregon to visit.

This was a fun place to stay. We made coffee in the morning and walked the dogs around the property to see the chickens and sheep. There is a rustic outhouse with composting toilet that was very clean. It had clean water and soap inside to wash hands.

Awesome spot + Lara was an absolutely delightful host! The glamping tent was super comfy, the heater worked like a charm, and we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend earplugs to filter out the early morning rooster crows :)

Weekend Trip to Cedar Bloom
Stayed in one of the tiny A-frame cabins for a weekend and I genuinely didn’t want to leave. Sleeping with the front panel open so you’re basically surrounded by trees, waking up to sunlight through the trees, making s’mores by the fire at night… it was everything. The barrel sauna, the river beach, the wildflowers left in a little jar at our cabin. The details here are so intentional and you can feel it.
It’s rustic and simple in the best way. Come prepared, come ready to actually unplug, and you’ll have the best time. Already planning a return trip. ✨

Weekend Trip to Cedar Bloom
From the moment of driving through the gate you got a sense of peace and calm. The grounds are private and beautiful. The staff was super friendly but seemed to disappear and give you space. The RV and tent sites looked great but the large Bio-Dome can't be missed. I have already recommended them to my friends and family.
