The campsite is a serene escape, offering a peaceful and picturesque retreat with access to a private creek, pond, meadow, and vineyard. Guests rave about the tranquility and natural beauty, with many highlighting the opportunities for stargazing and wildlife sightings, including deer and turkeys. The hosts, Jane and Tom, are frequently praised for their hospitality and effective communication, ensuring a smooth experience for visitors. While the majority of reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few mention the basic amenities, reflecting a rustic charm that aligns with the secluded setting.
Such a lovely place! Jane and Tom are great hosts. I appreciated the beautiful space, which felt very wonderfully secluded despite not being too far off the beaten path, and all of their great tips for the area. The deck above the creek was a favorite spot, as was the labyrinth. We saw so many deer and beautiful birds. We’d definitely come back!
You couldn't ask for better hosts than Jane and Tom, they treat you like family. We loved stargazing through the skylight in the bedroom. While meandering the forest paths we came across a mother duck and her fluffy ducklings. So precious! Azalea Grove Getaway is definitely on the list of places we would like to return to.
One of the loveliest Hipcamp experiences I’ve had! Amazing communication from host, beautiful scenery (saw lots of mushrooms, deer, & turkey!) & the most amazing thing an actual housed flushing toilet! Highly recommend!
Such a nice place to walk around. We stayed in one of the campsites, but the buildings looked very nice and clean. The campsites were in visual site of each other, but off the road. The stars were truly magnificent!
Beautiful place! Exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed spending time by the creek where my kids caught frogs, and when we needed a break from the heat and smoke (from wildfires), we’d go inside with the AC, wifi, and a good selection of board games and puzzles. Would stay here again. Highly recommended.
Sweet little cottage perfect for two. Simple accommodations still covering everything you need. Charming property and thoughtful caretakers. Take note there is only one sink (kitchen) in the Blissful cottage.
What a beautiful getaway - the cottage was so cozy and welcoming, the land was gorgeous. Walks around the forest and pondering by the stream. Amazing. Jane was very sweet and responsive to all our needs. Very peaceful and secluded. If you're looking for quiet and peace, stay here!
Our stay was absolutely magical. The Blissful Solitude cottage was so cozy, stocked with everything you could possibly need from kitchen gadgets, coffee prep needs, towels, etc, and the MOST comfortable bed. Within minutes of arriving we saw a mama deer and her fawns casually stroll a few feet in front of us like it was a planned event. The property is loaded with little pockets of paradise to enjoy; creeks, a pond, and little hidden moments of whimsy everywhere. Families of turkeys on parade and deer were constant visitors.
The cottage has a skylight in the bedroom, we were gifted with blue skies during the day and a completely unexpected and awe inspiring thunderstorm in bed. Never have I had such a magical front row seat to a storm like that before.
Jane and Tom really have made this place a perfect escape. Every comfort you could need without overdoing anything and losing the magic of the surrounding nature.
I am so thankful to have had this experience, and hope to visit again one day.
Very grateful for our stay. Jane was a great host, very communicative and very hands off. The property is so beautiful. We tent camped and it was so serine and quiet. The bathrooms are accessible and clean and you can pay a little extra for a shower. We were originally only supposed to stay one night, but we ended up staying two and I’m so glad we did. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to explore southern Oregon but don’t want to deal with crowded state park campgrounds. Thanks again Jane! I’m sure we’ll be back again soon :)
Beautiful meadow! Very peaceful and quiet. Very nice roofed in bathroom and a hose with water access. Very bare, but there are 2 other houses on property to rent if you would like a kitchen and living room etc. Very nice restaurant Heaven on Earth is very close by.
Quiet and beautiful place to stay. Jane was very communicative and really helpful. My partner and I needed a place to stay for 2 nights in Southern Oregon and this place was perfect. Highly recommend.
Comfortable cottage in the trees. Very peaceful and clean. We really enjoyed staring out the skylight into the trees with stars as the backdrop. We were looking for a place to recharge before heading to north Washington and this spot was perfect for us and our two dogs.
The orchard house was a lovely place to stay. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom was very nice. We enjoyed playing the National parks game as a family, drinking coffee while sitting outside and watching the birds, playing horse shoe in the backyard, and walking the trails on the property.
Hands down, the best tent camping experience we’ve ever had! Our hosts, Tom and Jane were warm, inviting, and unobtrusive. What really made our experience shine was the beautiful nature preserve they are kind enough to share. We spent the wee hours of the morning stargazing in the meadow. We fell asleep to the song of frogs and awakened to redwing blackbirds and sunshine. We were able to roam through 13 acres of natural wonder in near solitude. The bathroom was clean, too!
It was easy to gain a sense of community. The Azalea General Store is conveniently located just down the way with plenty of fresh veggies, local eggs and last minute necessities for camping fun. Heaven on Earth Restaurant is a heartwarming place nearby with a welcoming atmosphere, home cooked meals and colossal cinnamon rolls. Indian Taste Restaurant located in Canyonville serves exquisite cuisine even when the rest of the town has closed their doors for the evening. This was a unique and satisfying experience we hope to revisit.
Beautiful cabin in a magical setting. Needed time in nature and this was a perfect spot to go. Very clean cabin. Helpful host. Listening to all the birds was the best!
We had a wonderful overnight camping trip at Jane's property! We enjoyed walking the trails next to the pond and creek with our dogs in the evening. The pad where we parked our camper van was level and we made good use of the picnic table for dinner and breakfast. We would love to return for a stay again in the future.
The Orchard House was so cute and had everything you could need. I was just on my own, but it would be a perfect fit for a family or group of people as well. I had to get on the road so I didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the property, but I did go for a walk along the paths to the river and it was such a lovely way to start the day.
This little cabin was very cute and well kept! We loved the sunlights, and our dogs loved watching out the front door. Every time I looked outside, there was wildlife to be seen: turkeys, deer, and cardinals. Would recommend.
